I'm Taurus rising and Taurus moon (in the 12th house- which is symbolic of a repressed personality). But I do have Leo sun and venus in the fifth house (which rules my chart) so I think that accounts for some of my extroversion. Also I have mars in the first house too and I think that greatly contributes too (it gives you an assertive edge).

Also, environment can strongly influence your personality. Most of my family and friends are quite extroverted. They either have air or fire ascendants or planets in fire/air. My mom has almost every single planet in Gemini with the exception of her Mars, Jupiter and Pluto in Leo.
