ok, so heres the deal, i am a scorpio and i am utterly and totally in love with my sagittarius husband! but thats the thing, of everything i'v read, astrology has warned these two signs to stay away from each other. but we have soo much in common its unbelieveable. until recently, i wasnt sure what my ascendant was but i guessed it was sagittarius and i checked it out and i was right. i wonder if that has to do with our instant connection or the fact that i feel that pluto doesnt seem to have much of an influence on me in terms of dominance. we absolutely love each other, and when i checked out our compatablility there were more positive things than negative things. we both feel as though this is meant to be.

Can I ask a question and I don't mean any disrespect.
You sound like you have a wonderful love. Why would you want to JUDGE it on any chart factors?
I am not saying not to look at the chart but you know what it is cuz your heart tells you.
Anything else is secondary would be my take on it.

yes, it is wonderful, and i dont want to judge, but like i said astrology warns against this kind of union. we want to be together, and i want to be with him whether astrology says no or not.

ok, i just did some reading on astrology aspects and i learned what trine means. it turns out that my moon trines sagittarius, my ascendandt, mars trines jupiter and jupiter trines pluto. OMG! i guess i'm more compatible with sagittarius than i thought

Your moon is the same element, but it's not trine your ascendant. Trine is an aspect that happens when planets or angles are within a certain amount of degrees from each other. Your Mars is almost exactly trine Jupiter, and your Jupiter is loosely trine Pluto (depending on how many degrees you use in interpretation - some people only allow 3, others 5, etc.). Your Sun is in the 12th house, and it's not uncommon for 12th house people to find their Sun difficult to identify with, so I'm not surprised you don't think of yourself as a Scorpio/Plutonic person. I think your instant connection is more due to your conjunct Venus planets (yours and his are in the same sign, two degrees apart). You sound very happy, so I hope you don't look to anyone or anything (including astrology) to confirm your relationship. Scorpio and sag's fall in love very frequently, in my life I know four Sag girls with Scorpio guys.

It's on this site all the time, you will see if you read some of the back stuff.

I know it's conventionally not supposed to be a good match, but I've never been a conventional person, so I say, LOVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND DON'T HOLD BACK, and I think you will be very happy for a very long time.

My brother (Sag) has been married to my Sister in law for over 10 years (Scorpio). Like any marriage, they have their ups and downs, but I have to say- they have more ups and truly love each other. They have two beautiful boys (Scorpio- 11/19) and (Aquarius- 2/2). I looked at their charts and there is so many wonderful aspects between the whole family. I adore my nephews (I'm also a Saggie) and get along wonderfully with my lil Scorp nephew because he is so much like I was as a little kid.

My SIL has a few strong fire signs in her chart (her mars conjuncts my brother's sun in Sag) and my brother has moon in Scorpio conjuncting her sun. They make an amazing team.

Me, on the other hand, I am married to a wonderful Leo with a Pisces moon. He even's out my Sag Sun / Aries Moon / Venus in Sag LOL....

wow, thats absolutely amazing BearsArcher. i really like how you have such an amazing relationship with your scorpio nephew (btw, his birthday is the same as mine, lol). i have a certain connection to my scorpio niece, too. and with her being a scorpio, shes really shy and not very sociable but she took a real shine to my sagittarius man almost immediately. even my aquarius mother liked him the day she met him

I'm sorry but where did you read about how Scorpios and Sags shouldn't be together? Because most serious astrologers would never say that. It's too general. Of course there are lots of Scorp/Sag couples everywhere.

well when i had looked up compatability online for scorpio and sagittarius it said that a successful marriage is very unlikely and a one nights stand would probably be the furthest the relationship would go and i have seen that on several sites.

LOL, thats so funny, omg. oh, there is something i didnt mention before, i had this pagan friend do some numerology using my name to see what my "true" or "lucky" number is and it turned out to be 3 and my favorite number happens to be 6. i mention this because my sagittarius hubby is my 6th lover and 3rd serious relationship, LOL.

Hi Nicki,

There is a whole lot more to compatibility than sun signs. I'm a Gemini who gets along best with Scorpios. Strange, isn't it? The fact that your Sagittarius rising allows you to connect with your Sagittarian husband. Not all Sagittarians are happy-go-lucky and not all Scorpios are jealous and intense. Planet placements and aspects make a huge difference not to mention free will.

It sounds like you have found true love. By all means, cherish it!
