How long will Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter transit a house?

Right now Pluto is transiting my 11th house and Saturn is transiting my 8th house .. I want to know how long they usually take to move from house to another.

Please let me know. Thank you.

okay I will look up the rest but off the top of my head I THINK that neptune is 14 years, and uranus is 7 years....not sure about saturn (maybe two or three years) or pluto...pluto would be quite long..longer than the others I would think...be logical

I read somewhere that Saturn stays for about 2.5 years in a house.

Pluto I heard stays for 7 years but is that right? I'm not sure. Pluto is transiting my 11th house and it seems to be at the end of it .. I don't know how to judge when it will enter the 12th.

Uranus is transiting my 2nd house .. it just entered sometime ago.

So how does one figure this out? Is there a software that can calculate this?

I've seen something called ConfigHunter but it shows transits to personal planets and not the duration of a planet in your natal house.

Hope the experienced astros out there can give me some advice. I want to learn how to check these.

in a sign, not a house

You can use ephemerides to know exactly when the planet will leave the house: http://www.fortunecity.com/roswell/jekyll/75/fm.html

Interesting topic. How would Pluto transiting the second house affect a person?

Transiting Pluto and its fellow transneptunians in 2nd house would be evolutionary intensified lessons/experiences in the areas of security, self worth, possessions, and finances. It could be drastic changes in those areas for better or worse.

I don't have transiting Pluto in my 2nd, but I have its fellow transneptunian dwarf planet Haumea transiting in my 2nd. It's in 15'39 Libra conjunct my Uranus in 15'17 Libra in 2nd. I've experienced intensified lessons/experiences in those areas.

In my natal chart:
I have Sun in 2nd, but my Ixion and Quaoar are conjunct it.
Ixion and Quaoar are transneptunan dwarf planet candidates, and so I naturally have evolutionary intensified lesson/experiences in the 2nd house matters.

so transiting Haumea in my 2nd is putting more emphasis on the evolutionary intensified lessons/experiences that show that I have naturally with Ixion and Quaoar in 2nd house.

Hi Glaucus,
what would be the effect of Pluto transiting house 12?

"Hi Glaucus,
what would be the effect of Pluto transiting house 12?"

transiting Pluto and its fellow transneptunians in the 12th house can indicate evolutionary intensified lessons, experiences in the areas of hidden matters/secrets,losses,institutions like hospitals and prisons, and the collective unconcious which can include dreams, mystical. It's also a house associated with charity and compassion.

Natally, I have 2 of Pluto's fellow transneptunians, Haumea and Makemake in my 12th house. I have experienced evolutionary intensified lessons, experiences in 12th houses.

The thing is that Pluto is not the only object that orbits beyond Neptune. That's been first proven false in 1992 with the discovery of 1992 QB1 as well as many other transneptunian objects discovered. There are over 1,000 objects beyond Neptune that have been discovered. There are likely to be tens of thousands of objects orbiting beyond Neptune. Pluto is not the only big object that orbits beyond Neptune. It's not even the largest object orbiting beyond Neptune. That's Eris.

The transneptunian dwarf planets, transneptunian dwarf planets are evolutionary intensified objects.
Evolutionary suggests that emotional and spiritual crisis induced by the presence and passage of these bodies intends to enhance the insight, inspiration, creativity and consciousness of a person on Earth and through events on Earth containing these bodies in significant locations.

It's well recognized that Pluto was known as the evolutionary intensified object.
Evolutionary Astrologer Jeffrey Wolf Green viewed Pluto as evolutionary intent. This was during the time when Pluto was thought to be the only transneptunian object.

the following evolutionary intensified objects including the following
from largest to smallest:

Eris,Pluto,Makemake,Haumea - classed as dwarf planets
Sedna,Orcus,Quaoar,Varuna,Ixion - dwarf planet candidates

Sedna,Orcus, and Quaoar are larger than asteroid dwarf planet Ceres which is the only asteroid and non-transneptunian object that is classed as a dwarf planet.

There are big transneptunian objects that have no names yet. 2007 OR10 "Snow White" is the largest of the unnamed objects in our solar system. It's smaller than Sedna and larger than Orcus.

all these objects are transiting in houses in the chart.

btw
Pluto and Charon are actually a binary system

therefore you have include the symbolisms of Charon and not just Pluto's.
Charon was the ferryman of the Underworld.

I think of Pluto-Charon binary system as the shaman, psychoanalyst, gatekeeper, navigator through the realms bey

Neptune is the planet associated with dissolution of boundaries, piercing the veil between physical and metaphysical.

Once you go beyond Neptune, you're at the "other side"

so all the transneptunians are associated with "other side" especially Sedna which has the greatest average distance. It's literally "out there"

Jacque, you can check in the ephmerides when a given planet enters a house, if it is difficult for you, give me your house cusps and let me know what planets to check, I will do it for you.

Hi Peri,

could you also let me know when Saturn will conjunct Pluto for both cases?

I'm already going thro' tough Pluto transits. Saturn conjunct Pluto is going to finish me. sigh.

Hold on, Jacque! What does not kill us, makes us stronger

Case 1

Saturn enters the 9th house on October 29, 2011 then goes retro and is conj 9H cusp on June 23, 2012 again.

Pluto enters the 12th house on May 5, 2012 goes retro and is conj 12H cusp on January 19, 2013 and again on September 22, 2014.

Saturn will conjunct Pluto on October 6, 2011.

I don't think so, it just means that planets will spend a longer on the cusp than if they were direct all the time.

Sorry for the delay, Jacque, just noticed your post.

So draw your chart on astro.com, from there you will know your house cusps, then go to ...oops the link I gave you does not work anymore...so go to http://www.zodiacal.com/ephemerides/index.php (or any other ephemerides you find on google) >> choose 2010 Ephemeris >> you will see planets' coordinates for 2010 listed there.

Let's say you want to know when Jupiter enters your 2nd house and you have 2nd house cusp at 3 Aries.

Jupiter is Jupi there, so on January 1st, 2010 Jupiter is at 26 degrees 27 minutes in Aqua. You need 3 Aries, scroll down untill Jupiter is at 3 Aries. Jupiter will reach 3 degrees on July 7th, 2010 then as you can see it goes backwards and is not back at 3 Aries till the end of 2010 so open emepherides for 2011, Jupiter will be there on February 7th, 2011 and does not go retro anymore.

Hope this makes sense to you.

Thanks Peri.

Based on the above example, I see under Jupiter, 3Ar02, 3Ar05 etc. there seem to be more than one .. ? which one is the right one.
