mercury conjunct sun is actually not a good aspect, since it's combust. Most people's isn't conjunct, but just close by.

I don't have Sun conjunct Mercury, but my Mercury is connected to the Sun by being conjunct the Sun/Neptune midpoint with 14 minutes of arc. That is due to Sun,Mercury,Neptune being in 27th harmonic triangle. I have a Grand trine of Sun,Mercury,Neptune in the 9th harmonic chart. 3 x 9 = 27. Sun conjunct Mercury just means that the ego, self expression, and vitality and thinking, communication, ideas merge with each other.
This means self expression thoughts. Thinks could mean thinking with ego.
It can be identifying through one's ideas. There is a possibility of not understanding people's perspectives due to his/her thinking being strongly effected by their ego. Sun conjunct Mercury can be a creative aspect too. I'd say that a person with Sun conjunct Mercury can be very quick. Mercury is associated with quickness, speed. Sun conjunct Mercury can be very high strung. It's like Sun in Gemini or Sun in Virgo in that way.

I thought combust planets only apply to horary/elective astrology, not psychological astrology? Usually any planet conjunct the Sun colors it, which is why they say people with Sun conjunct Neptune are super glamorous/mysterious.IP: Logged |

No, it applies to natal too. In the case of neptune, most astrologers are in debate as to whether the outside planets can be considered combust, since combust has to do with being burned by the sun and the outer planets are not visible in the sky, so the light doesn't shine on them anyway. The whole point behind combust is that the sun burns the planet next to it by its light. The traditional planets that are seen in the sky are merc, moon, venus, mars, saturn, and jupiter. I have Sun conjunct Mercury in the natal --8 degrees, I think. I missed the combust.Isn't combust less than 5 degrees away from the sun? My mother has it in Aqua in the 12th house. She is a firecracker and that is not good lol. I am a Gem Sun and Mercury. I am high strung--for sure. I don't like it. I used to be more relaxed when I was younger so I assume I can get there ,again. Ami

My sun is in Sag and mercury is in Capricorn but they are both in the 4th house Bear the Leo has Sun conjunct Mercury. He often will say "oh, did I just say that out loud". I have to remind him of using his filter. Kind of weird for a SAG to remind anyone to use their filter LOL... IP: Logged |

I agree with you Bear... I'm a Sag too, if I have to tell them to watch their comments then they know they really have crossed the line. LOLIP: Logged |

I have Sun Conjunct Mercury by 2 degrees.. Also moon is in between both....I have to agree with Glaucus.. I guess I do think with my ego... Kinda like (thinking) I might tell myself Of you can do this... You can manage this and you will find the best solution Yes Im very creative, but not in an arts type of way, more of my thinking.. I can always figure out a way to get something accomplished. I am quick on my feet. Only idk about high strung.. All those Leo planets has a reverse effect, kinda made me an introvert. But I wonder since moon is in between Mercury and Sun, does it block my emotions... My emotions are well hidden.. I rarely show any type of emotions to anyone on the outside.... Its rare for someone to be able to read my emotions... well unless Im ****** then that when the Leo roarrrrrr comes out.. IP: Logged |

what I mean by high strung is that there is a lot of nervous energy .....a lot of mental activity that doesn't necessarily mean being sociable and talkative I am very high strung person, and I am very introverted too. There is no denying that I have a lot of nervous energy. It's a lot of thinking, reading, and typing.

I don't have Sun conjunction Mercury. It is 25 degrees apart. Other thing: Sun 0 Mercury is not good in some houses. What houses are they; I should see in Medical Astrology Forum. Sun conjunction Mercury means that Mercury is burnt planet. B.
