RELATIONSHIP FOCUS BASED ON SUN PLACEMENT OF COMPOSITE CHART

1 - Personal gratification, ego. "Arm candy" would fall in this category. Appearance or education could be a significant driver for one or both parties.

2 - Accumulating possessions or other assets. Both desire a comfortable life style, early retirement, etc. Probably quite materialistic, may forego children in lieu of possessions. Pleasures a priority including gourmet food and fine wine.

3 - Mental compatibility, joint endeavors, busy and involved with neighborhood issues. Common career interests will often bring these people together or they could also have been childhood sweethearts.

4 - Creating a comfortable home. Want the stereotype "ideal" family setup. Time and energy will be devoted to the children and home environment as the first priority.

5 - Children, hobbies, creative endeavors. Could be unconventional; Idea of fun could be the entire family going to conferences or shows relative to a common interest, i.e. rock hounds, camping, writing, genealogy.

6 - Work interests, health issues, shared interest in pets. Could work in the same industry, share common health challenges or possibly even have an interest in pet breeding.

7 - Fulfilling relationship, strong partnership, inseparable. Lifelong companions, possible soul mates. Also business partnership a possibility

8 - Sexual compatibility, inheritance issues, entrepreneurial pursuits, major transformation. Strong sexual attraction, could also indicate marrying for money, possibly where one party wants to start a business and marries someone who can be the primary investor. Possibly could call for a major transformation in one or both of the parties involved.

9 - Intellectual or higher education pursuits, travel, legal issues or entanglements. Both may be highly educated or devote a lot of time to travel abroad doing research, such as two archeologists. Could also be law partners or meet when one is the other's attorney.

10 - Social recognition & status, pillars of community. Social climbing a definitely possibility or simply a logical match of similar social or economic classes.

11 - Heavy involvement in groups and organizations. Similar interests in any area that involves others. Could be pioneers of some sort or working for social change.

12 - Institutions, spiritual attraction, karma. Could be a very unusual relationship without any logical explanation. Possible a very strange couple, such as two handicapped or disabled individuals who meet and marry in an institutional setting or with a spiritual or mystical mission in life to accomplish together.

The 5th house is also related to as the house of "romance" and sexual things in general. They seemed to leave that part out. I've got a composite 5th house stellium with someone and the composite Leo Sun is cojunct Jupiter, talk about hot and heavy!

i think sun is underrated in the 5th house.

but you know, i think the composite is the direction the synastry is taken.

we have a composite 5th house sun in scorpio. but we also have pluto mercury and possibly mars in the 5th. sun opposes jupiter, trine ASC, wide Sun aquare Moon.

i have read some descriptions, every astrologer has their own opinions, one i read was sun in the 5th house was the best position for it.

these descriptions are too limited, and the writer of it clearly has biased or very little insight into each house, seems to 'close' to the house description.

i ain't read them all but half of the description for the 5th house seems clueless and may aswell list what we already knwo about the 5th house is related to with bullet points.

i do agree that the 5th house description is rather shallow. a 5th house composite sun could be great for people with firey natal charts. i don't know tht it lends itself to stability in the traditional sense.

depending on other placements, i cld see tht comp sun in 5th could have difficulty taking things seriously. if one part of the couple is quite earthy tht cld really pose a problem.

i think natal to composite needs to be taken into consideration.

i had composite sun in 5th with my ex. he is UBER firey! (sun, moon, asc, venus and uranus all in fire and fire houses) but me? i have 5 capricorn placements. i always felt like i down played my more playful side becaue he REFUSED to take anything seriously. we really had difficulty with the serious aspects of relating. but as long as we were having fun, it was great.

its also worth mentioning tht we are both professional musicians. very 5th house-ish.

hmm This isn't all that suited to my ex-relationship.

I have an 11th sun and so does he.. and we also had this in composite.

Maybe it has more to do with new-age Uranian things.. We both had/have an interest in esoteric matters.

I think you're onto something, Electricmind, with the 5th house being more on par when two people are fiery themselves. Me and the person I have the composite with both have Leo Sun, and he has a stellium in his natal 5th, and Leo after all is on board with the 5th house. I've read many interpretations on 5th H Sun composite, and the most negative issue, is that people come together to have fun, so not the greatest composite placement for someone you want to settle down with etc..

Here's a good quote from this book, called Planets In Synastry by E.W. Neville (I recommend it!).

5th H Composite:

quote:
It is much like a "dating" relationship in which the partners see each other under the most pleasurable, responsibility-free circumstances and at their physical best...But go on their individual courses afterwards.

i don't think any house decides how long a couple will last.

i think the house of the relationship just conditions what the sun feels best doing.

saying the 5th house doesnt feel 'serious' enough, seems as insightful as saying an 11th house sun isnt romantic enough, or a 2nd or 6th house sun isnt romantic enough, they juust want to work together bla bla, which would be total crap.

i think aspects decide what they want and wether they want to be together.

there is no right or wrong feeling to a relationship that determines wether it will last or wether they want to last.

people who may want to feel expressive, and sunny may be Really happy with some one where they share a 5th house composite.

i have read that sun in the fixed houses adds more staying power, mutable more unstable.

And then there is the composite ASC. to factor in...
