Okay, firstly I'm gonna be apologising to Ami and iQ, two great people whose good-natured advice seems to fall on my deaf ears http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/205059.html

So, here's a question for all Knowflakes.

Does having too much Pluto/Scorpio/8th house stuff make a person super-stubborn like moi?

P.s. I know Scorpio is FIXED but I know a lot of Scorpions who are nowhere near as hard-headed as I am...either that or I'm a freak.

Plutonian's intensity can come across as stubborness. Intensity is not stubborness though.

I have Sun,Mercury,Venus in Scorpio. I can be quite stubborn. I have Mars in Aquarius too. Therefore, I have 4 personal planets in fixed signs.

but I can also be very flexible and change my mind a lot

and that's indicated by the mutable, cadent t-square Of Moon in Pisces in 6th square the opposition of retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 9th and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd.

I also have a mutable angle axis
Virgo/Pisces Ascendant/Descendant and Gemini/Sagittarius Midheaven/Imum Coeli.

I have a very strong transneptunian chart, and so there is a lot of intensity there.
That includes Pluto's fellow plutinos Orcus and Ixion aspecting my Sun. My Sun is connected to the Eris Nodes. Eris is a transneptunian named after the Goddess of Discord, and so I am very prone to having alternative viewpoints that people will disagree with. I may not budge from unless I agree with the person. That discordant, controversial, argumentative nature can come across as being stubborn.

Dear Frozen Queen
I am wondering if some replay of the past is going on with you.
I can't get a definite feeling of what it is so I will just explain what happened to me.
Perhaps, you have a story that is similar in some way.
I think there IS something deeper than the surface reasons.

When I was in college ,I could have graduated Summa *** Laude, which was the top grade point average.
What I did was blow my finals on purpose. It was semi-conscious.
I could never look better than my mother or I was afraid a huge hand would come down from the sky and kill me.
I had to look good but not TOO good. I was always walking that line.
I still am ,actually.
I am much more afraid of my power than my weakness.
I don't think you have exactly the same thing as I do but perhaps some script which prohibits you from succeeding.
I think there is something but I can't get more of a hold on it than to share my story.

x o x Ami
PS --This site has a filter for words . I just figured out why I cannot write that whole word of how I would have graduated

One can view stubborn as patience turned upside down.
All the fixed/organizer signs have these qualities prominent to varying degrees.

words within: born not to burst/burn

Pluto has amazing powers of self-control(patience) to contain as well.
Both are necessary in opposition to one another and there is a proper time for each trait, along with the capability to mediate the oppositions.
Both get no where fast when stubborn meets stubborn and that is frustrating indeed.

MBlake, it's not them.

I'm the stubborn one here. Just check out the forum link and you will see...it's like having two understanding and mature people trying to reason with a 2 year old about chocolate

Only I'm no 2 year old(in Earth times, atleast) and the issue is not chocolate.

P.s. I've no idea why I always end up calling you Mitch...is that okay with you?

This is my short question----Do you feel you will get punished/hurt/scorned/ostracized/cast out for success?
Was there someone in your life you could NOT do better than or you would suffer?

Hey Ami, I understand your issues with power and how you are trying to shed off the discomfort you associate with it.

With me, it's just the opposite. I wouldn't do it because I feel far too comfortable in myself and would rather make me happy than contribute one more person to this sorry world (I apologise if I sound too harsh)

I just know I can't endure the degree because it is not in sync with who I am. The degree is like this major UP on my social status because, you know, I'm gonna be a doctor. There's just a little bit of trouble about me not getting out alive.

I had to go through HELL to understand this and I'm not gonna forget it in a jiffy, that's for sure.

Thanks for the appreciation, MBlake

Those were horrible times. I've got 49 scars on my left wrist, mementoes of a past now gone, but unforgotten.

But in hindsight, it helps. Whenever I feel really low and can't seem to motivate myself, I look at them and remind myself that come what may, I'm not going back to this.

I consider them a war memorial(Mars in Aries in 8th ) that is proof that I've passed through Hell and am still alive.

Sounds morbid but there you have it.

you say stubborn as if it is a bad thing.

temperence with stubborn-isms produces gigantic huge rewarding results.

learning to listen is developing temperence.

i am very stubborn, but, the good in it is-

if i set my mind to something - i do it - bar nothing

if i make up my mind about something - not much can sway me.

the thing is, learning to listen, learning to focus, learning some temperence...choosing your battles. that comes with maturity. once that happens, not much can stop someone who is not a quitter, and stubborn people are not quitters.

i can outlast the strongest of men and fear none. everything that can be done has been already been done to me, so what is there to fear?

but being stubborn...everything i ever set my mind to do, i accomplish.

how can that be a bad thing?

My scares are mostly inside, I look at them the same way.

Then something else happened and through my world upside down.

Now i look at them differently.

They had to have been there, or else i wouldnt be the same.

Cpn, I do not think it's bad being stubborn seeing that this is me we're talking of It's only that I can and do come across as a bit too forceful at times. I've had people asking me why I'm so angry when I'm not even frowning...my eyes really give me away.

So, I call upon Venus in Libra to balance it out. But I do agree with your point. As long as one is flexible, it is no problem.

Stubborn, not closed-minded.

P.s. I am narcissistic, just in case

Wow! That's exactly the way I feel, MBlake.

If I hadn't been through all that pain, I would not be half the person I am today.

It strengthens you in some way, all that suffering.

Not in the least.

I just think humans are a bit too fatalistic. I mean just about everything with this species is like black or white. Either something's good(read easy) or it's plain bad(read evil/nasty/bleeding hell etc.)

I believe we chose this existence before we came here. And whatever happens to us, happens for a reason. I can quote a dozen examples from my life both small and large ones...and my worst nightmares became the source of my greatest strength when I faced up to them.

Sadly, most people don't break free of the cliches and the world's always black or white.

How long did dinosaurs rule the earth? thats not philosophical its i dont remember.

Humans have been here 200 thousand?

I remember comparing the two numbers once and thinking humans are still in our infancy.

The next evolution will be that of the mind, we did not stop with growing oposible thumbs.

Frozen - I think that it's great that you know what you want and you stick to it.

But I think, in this case - your considerations should not be what people think of you - or how you are viewed socially.

Whether you make decisions that are pro-society (some people want to have a certain public image and they work at it) ---- or anti-society/rebelling against social norms (i.e. wanting to completely neglect your public image)... The decision is made for the same "sort" of reasons.. which are not very practical ones.

I think your considerations should be more so 'daily' and practical.

-- Forget society for a second - how things appear and why they appear that way. -- And think about your daily life in the future. How would like this to be? What sorts of things would you like to be doing on a day to day basis - to support yourself?

You could easily work part time as a dentist.. for example (only a couple of days per week) -- and write and do everything else you like the rest of the week.

I think it's best to think about what kind of job you would find relatively "easy" - a job that would also get you a good enough income for you not to have serious financial worries in general - so that you can focus on those things that you love doing.

Saying "Money always comes, so I don't care.. I'm just lucky that way" - is a classic -lack of earth- thing to say.
You only have one planet in earth in your natal chart.

This may not always be the case, and I wouldn't want you to end up in a situation where money concerns take up your time 24-7 - and you no longer have free time to write.

Somebody told me, that I am plutonian person. I don't know why.

I have:

Pluto 60 Neptune
Pluto 0 Mars
Pluto 90 Sun
Pluto 120 Mercury
Pluto 60 ASC
Pluto 60 Uranus (not true - otherwise I could win by Lottery because Pluto is ruler of my 2nd and Uranus is ruler of my 5th). I play Lotto, once in a half year.

My ruler, Venus is in 8th (Pluto house).

B.
