Arising from the Centre is Venus Aphrodite, Core Essence of the Feminine Nature in Her Manifest Form. Through her Powers of Divine Beauty and Magnetic Desirability as Love, She Awakens the Impulse to Life.

From the centre of the basic realm of primal lunar energy emerges Venus Aphrodite, the symbol of the active, magnetic , reproductive force of the feminine nature.

The archetypal feminine energy as Aphrodite also subdivides into a trinity, where she is identified with the names Aphrodite Pandemos, Aphrodite Ourania and Apostrophia. Plato makes a clear distinction between the ~common love~ which is Aphrodite Pandemos and the idealised spiritual or platonic love of Aphrodite Ourania (literally ~heavenly love~}. Apostrophia, the third form, translates as ~she who turns herself away~.

Referring again to the image of the mandala, from the centre of the lunar ground arises the core of feminine expression ~Venus Aphrodite~ the essential productive force which manifests through the feminine polarity as divine beauty, magnetic desirability and love.

Using her magnetic energy, Venus Aphrodite can either affect an attractive force between people, or she can turn away and create a repelling force. The ability to stir love and arouse erotic impulses in others but not to take responsibility for what one has awakened sets into motion the ~karmic causes~ which yield the future experiences of being ~rejected in love~. As Apostrophia ~she who turns herself away~ the dark side of Venus initiates us into the painful experiences of rejection and loss in love. She teaches us the meaning of responsibility so that we may learn to be sensitive to the emotional impact of arousing affections in others. Through experiencing the sorrow of rejection and loss, we learn the spiritual lessons associated with the transitory nature of love. Through pain and suffering Venus Aphrodite comes to realise the impossibility of possessing love. Love and passion are by their very nature impermanent. through the recognition of the transient nature of earthly love, Venus Aphrodite is able to express with heightened intensity, the ecstatic bliss of the Divine Love which begets and renews life.

-----

Where is your Aphrodite asteroid and does it show up in your synastry?

In my experience Aphrodite proves to be very important in love relationships and the above description is very accurate. That goes for the good and the bad aspect of the the Goddess.

I have Aphrodite in Taurus conjunct Jupiter in the 8th house.

Aphrodite is conjunct my Venus exactly at 29 Pisces in the 10th (Union is also at 29 Pisces). Squares Saturn/Uranus at 29 Sag and Chiron at 23 Gem. Conjuncts NN at 23 Pisces.

Should note that Juno is conjunct those at 2 Aries lol. Its hard for me to separate the energies.

Venus/Aphrodite was Goddess of Love
Juno/Hera was Goddess of Marriage

they are 2 completely different archetypes

Juno could just be mainly about committed relationships, partnerships, marriage, and contracts related to those things

Aphrodite could be more about romantic love but also sensual love
in the myths, she was not into commitment
She had many lovers that included mortals and not just immortals.

On the other hand, Juno/Hera didn't have any besides Jupiter/Zeus

I think it's easy to separate Juno from Aphrodite

Juno is one of the 4 major asteroids, and Aphrodite isn't. Therefore, Juno would have a greater influence.

SINCE Juno is closely conjunct my Aphrodite AND Venus, it is hard FOR ME to separate those energies. Just like I can't tell the difference between Sautrn and Uranus in my chart sometimes (which is wacky, I know).

In western culture, love is closely related to marriage, so it is easy to get those things mixed up, anyway. And especially for me, I can't even go on one date with someone without thinking about marriage.

I have Virgo AC conjunct Aphrodite (but I don't really have the Aphrodite look ;_; ), with these forming a grand trine with Mars and Neptune. My bf's DC, Valentine, Union and Destinn (and Pandora lool~) are conjunct my AC/Aphrodite (some are more than 3º degrees thought). Also, his Aphrodite is square my Sun. And in our draconic synastry, his Mars is conjunct my AC/Aphrodite.

I would think that Juno is relevant thought, both in synastry and composite.

Juno is one of the first 4 asteroids discovered. It was the 3rd asteroid discovered.

The first 4 asteroids were classed as planets for over 40 years in the 1800's. This was before Neptune was discovered.

These asteroids stand apart from all the other asteroids.

Of course,Ceres stands alone from all other asteroids including Juno,Pallas, and Vesta because it's a dwarf planet.

Ceres,Pallas,Juno, and Vesta are known as the asteroid goddesses. Demetra George and Douglas Bloch has an astrological report program based on only those asteroids.
