Capricorn as Sea-Goat and not mere Goat is such an ancient idea.

I went bats over this several years ago and kept reading up on why…it’s totally esoteric. To do with Capricorn also been ruled by maybe Neptune…as its “esoteric ruler” and Capricorn as representing the symbolic gateway to otherworlds.

So Capricorn is actually an insanely dual sign – way more so than our Sagg even: Capricorn is half lewd Pan/Dionysus figure all nympho and with devilish cloven hooves, half earthly-desired imbued goat striving to the top of any mountain and half magical Sea-Monster. Okay, more than dual. I stopped Maths at long division.

Some say the Sea Goat symbology has to with Mesopotamian Creator Gods – you can see why peeps go crazy researching this.

I ended up concluding that Capricorns have powerful magic – a bit of Pisces/Neptune in there to modify their rulership by stern Saturn, oft difficult childhood and all those long hours they put in mastering themselves/their trade or whatever. I think magic comes out with Caps at Uranus Opposition…in the early 40s.
