So I've leaned more towards studying natal astrology without the outer planets. Why? First off these energies are relatively subtle and work at a much more unconcious level (I'm talking about Uranus and beyond). To truly break down the natal chart, you've got to look at the core aspects of the inner planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn). The outer planets energies work at higher octaves which take years for the us to actualize. This is not to demote the outer planets but rather to look at them collectively. You'd really like Hellenistic Astrology,Medieval or Classical Astrology because those don't involve the outer planets either. Fixed Stars were heavily used too. ------------------

I don't know how I feel about not looking at the outer plants... it might work for you but it definitely wouldn't work for me. I have a tight conj with my Sun and Neptune in Sag... which for years I totally denied Astrology b/c I connected with the Pisces description way before the Saggie... I'm relating and owning my Saggie sun more and more as I'm getting older... and I'm 31 now. I feel the same way with my Taurus Moon opposite Uranus (which they are less than 1 degree from being exact...) IP: Logged |

Yeah, I've looked to Tycho Brahe and Kepler and thier interpretations of the planets, lately, Glaucus. Racole, Jupiter energies used to be in connection with Pisces or what I mean is Jupiter traditionally used to rule both Sag. and Pisces. I have a tight mutable square between natal moon and jupiter. Jupiter is my ASC. Ruler, this influence could almost be equated as neptunian (hence having Pisces Moon), but its far more extreme and obvious - with the inner planets involved, I constantly go through ups and lows and run hot and cold most days! racole,How you feel about the outerplanets is how I feel about the transneptunian objects. I have Sun conjunct Ixion with 5 minutes of arc, and so the themes of Ixion are very dominant theme in my life. Ixion is a plutino (means that it has 2:3 orbital resonance with Neptune).
Your Sun-Neptune conjunction is square Pluto's fellow transneptunian dwarf planet, Haumea.
Unmoved has the strongest Haumea influence that I have ever seen. She has Sun conjunct Haumea with only 1 minute of arc.

With pleasureIt's named after the Hawaiian Fertility Creation Goddess. It's not named after any Greek/Roman deity nor any European deity. It's the strangest known object in the kuiper belt. The object is very unique in its shape and the speed of its rotation. It looks like a football that's been kicked. Its daily rotation is 4 hours even though it's big across as Pluto. That's because another large transneptunian object collided with it and broke off a lot of its icy layer which resulted in its 2 moons and independently orbiting objects called "Haumeids." In mythology, Haumea's children were pieces broken off from her body.

Thanks! Another thing to add to the list of hitting my Nodes (in the 4th/10th house) squaring my Sun/Neptune... I still don't know what to think of it/little overwhelming having so many points/asteroids in that area! One day I'll understand it all. lol EDIT: oh, Glaucus you asked where my Ixion is... It's at 12.59 Sco, my Venus is at 10.39 Sco (in the 5th) I completely forgot to answer you... I was working on a drawing that I needed to finish for a client today  IP: Logged |

Even I would recommend just looking at the chart in a mainstream,basic way until its very well understood and then can move on to more complex stuff. ------------------

That is exactly what I've been implying. I'm the type of person that has difficultly concentrating on one thing at a time (Mercury sextile Jupiter). I delved into trans neptunians and the like without any clear knowledge of the foundation aspects (inner planets). I believe you can incorporate both inner and outer planets, but like anything, it takes practice. IP: Logged |

vertiver,I agree. What books do you have in regards to Tycho Brahe and Johannes Kepler. Johannes Kepler eventually stopped believing in zodiac signs and houses, and he was the one that introduced minor aspects. ------------------
