I can't find much on the meanings behind this. Would this block the expansion? Or too much? Obviously depending on the house. Anyone have any links for knowledge?

I also have Jupiter in Rx conjunct my Mc but in my 9th.

I find this part true for me

Some astrologers (myself included) believe that a Retrograde Jupiter indicates the need to be alone with their thoughts at times, to have some private space available to reflect.

At the same time, you may feel hesitant about involving yourself too deeply in others affairs or sharing your views out of a concern for being thought so different that you may be cast out by public opinion. Speculations may not bring you all the external rewards you seek, but each time you take a chance, your adventures allow you to gain from a wide variety of experiences. You must remain open and honest with yourself in order to expand your spirituality and allow your inner voice to guide you.

Natal Retrograde Jupiter is less expansive than Jupiter direct, causing the native to encounter one impediment after another in his search for understanding and positive experiences, especially in his early life. Positive abilities, talents, attributes and skills tend to come later in life to Jupiter retrograde natives. Higher education, which is ruled by Jupiter, is prone to be delayed, if it comes at all. One of the beneficial aspects of this placement, is that the native is more likely to be introspective, which assists in the development of higher spiritual ideals.

Ah, this is true for me. A little bit anyway.

Mine is in Cancer in my 7th house. Would the fact that Jupiter is exalted in Cancer help/change things?

I'm not sure, but I do also relate to the higher learning being delayed.. My Jupiter is opposite my Venus in Cancer in my 4th.

My Jupiter is in Sag, so me needing to find truths of the world is true, but only recently have I discovered this need and starting searching, which has then brought me to Astrology.

My higher learning is of the universe in a spiritual way. But not in a religion way.

I also have this.

Jupiter is Retrograde:

Moral concerns (including lingering unresolved issues stemming from a prior lifetime
or lifetimes in which you exercised poor judgment in moral, ethical, or religious
matters) come into play here. Thus, it is especially important for you to maintain
high standards while pursuing your aspirations.

Jupiter is Retrograde
Your abundance is felt on the inside. You can feel satisfied with less than other people, which can be
quite admirable in a way. The result is, it's easy for you to settle for crumbs when you'd really like
more out of life. Take an honest inner inventory of what you believe you deserve, because that's
what you'll get. Affirm to yourself that you can have what you want because you're worth it.

Jupiter Retrograde

You are concerned with growth and expansion, but find it difficult to achieve.
Success or luck may elude you.
In a prior life, you may have refused to change with the times, holding on to
outmoded ideas and ideals. In each life, you learn lessons and grow. Since you chose
not to make changes in one life, it is necessary for you to go through the lessons of
that life again.
Your lesson in this lifetime is to determine which opportunities offered to you will
create the greatest amount of personal (inner) growth and expansion. When you
make your changes, success will occur on the outside as well.

Maybe Jupiter Rx gives a feeling of not belonging to any set tradition even though you may find yourself in that position.

To the OP: You're right that Jupiter has something to do with expansion.

I have Jupiter retrograde in Pisces at the 2nd House. For me, I just want to live within my own means. If I do get wealthy and successful, I don't want to flaunt it. My philosophy in life is "Small is beautiful." Personally, I don't understand the point of some rich people owning a 50-room mansion, when all I need is a three-room house/condo.

Plus, I am successfully leading a vegetarian lifestyle. No more steaks for me. I want to get away from hedonistic foods.

It's interesting that a Jupiter retrograde also suggests a delay in education. I'm currently taking my time off now, and it has been a good decision for me so far.

It depends on what expansion is concerned during a Jupiter retrograde. Reducing intake of food and drink is always a good thing. However, reducing perspectives is not.
