I could have $20 million sitting in my bank account and still shiver sick with worry about going broke. I can't take it. I'm not materialistic, i have no interest in possessions! Any excess money I have, or ever will have, I want to give away! I'm dealing with tuition bills, and studying abroad right now. I know, rationally, that I have enough money. I know that everything will be alright, rationally. But I'm worrying myself mad anyways. I just feel like this is an issue I will never escape. I fear that I will become a miser, or materialistic, or something awful and untrue to myself. I'm trying to meditate to release these negative thoughts- does anyone know any exercises? I'm sure you all have felt this way at one point or another. Uranus is in my second, and so is Neptune. Not the best placements to have, i fear! IP: Logged |

I'm the same way and always thought that my Chiron in the 2nd opposing Moon in the 8th had everything to do with the fear of losing financial security.
No, I'm not a miser or super frugal, I just worry constantly. I have no idea how to keep calm about it either. IP: Logged |

I have so far not experienced financial security...it has been so far, betwixt homeless and riding the edge of poverty and only a blink from ending up homeless again because there is nothing to fall back on in even harder times.
So I guess I really have no idea how I would really feel if I ever had or acquired real financial security.
So this thread intrigues me because it is about a topic I have no real experience with.
I do worry about losing what I have because it has happened before and the danger of it happening again is too possible and real.
There is no safety net.

It makes sense, Meta and Yin.
I never realized HOW important the houses were in highlighting crucial areas.
I don't have any planets in the second.
Every house with planets is somewhat highlighted for me.
The most highlighted seems to be the 8th.It drives me to heal what it thrusts at me lol.  Ami ------------------

I'm going thru this right now since I haven't been able to work for a year (from losing my job b/c of the economy and my injury) but it seems like the people I owe money to (like loans) they don't care. I literally only own my computer, my camera and some art supplies- I sold everything. I would be homeless if I didn't have parents that love me (THANK GOD!) I have Jupiter in the 2nd- I'm really waiting to see it play out in my life... But, it's the ruler of my 7th so maybe when I do finally get married my financial situation will balance out...? rasperri,I will definitely look into that. Hoping you were serious, because I really need it!  Racole, Interesting point you bring up about Jupiter in your 2nd, being the ruler of your 7th, and gaining financial security through marriage. Uranus is the ruler of my 4th, and Neptune rules my 5th. So through settling down (4th) and creating something (5th) i will find financial security? ICK! meta_4.~~LOL. on your comment Mine is just wishful thinking maybe. I'm still pretty new to astrology so that's the first thing I thought about ruler of 7th in the 2nd in Leo (so maybe he is a performer/musician) I guess that's just more wishful thinking. Thank you ten-fold, iQ!  I will read the article you posted in Labor's of Love. Does it matter what the source is? I mean, does it matter who or what I give it to? Do I need to place the "cash" there physically, or perhaps a donation online, etc? And when I do it, my thoughts should be pure, and not, "Well, if I give ten dollars I'll receive thirty" yes? It is wisest to give to a cause you strongly believe in. It is ok to "feel gratitude" in advance for receiving 10 times the amount.
Not ok, to give only for the sake of receiving it multiplied. If you do this, you will get exactly the same amount back. I have tried that as well. I started with 5 bucks as a test, to Reverend Speller's own web site and got 20 bucks or something the very next day. These days, I prefer donating to Mercy Corps, they really get things done in the affected zones and provided matchless service for Haitians. They will get things done in flood affected areas of South Asia next. You can also claim 10 fold return from the profits to which you have unknowingly contributed. How much this will help I cannot say but it does add more abundance.
Lets say you bought something for 10 dollars, and its cost price is 4 dollars. Reasonable margin is 1 to 2 dollars, the extra 4 is a fleece. By claiming 10 fold for whatever was taken extra without your knowledge, you get a chance to earn 40 dollars more. Gas companies have been fleecing public all their life, so anyone who drives and makes this claim can theoretically increase their net worth by attracting thousands of dollars worth of additional opportunities. Karma is another thing, sometimes, the Universe offsets exact cash reward against negative karmic debts, this is probably why there are delays in attracting larger sums. Which is why you have to keep increasing good deeds during this practice of abundance flow. ------------------

I have Jupiter in Sag in my 2nd house and I have no desire to make money unless I need it. Sometimes I don't need money for a long long time and I am happy to get by with what I have but then one day I will have this huge dream and I will need $10 000 and I will some how some way make that money if needed within weeks. Then I will go back to not wanting to work or not wanting money again. I always feel secure financially and I am most definietly not. I have no idea what or who I rely on when my family are a bunch of lunatics IP: Logged |

It is interesting , IQ,. That is the Law of Sowing and Reaping,isn't it?? I try to do that with love. I try to give love freely, not worrying if it is coming back. I get SO much back. I could cry, now, thinking of it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, iQ! I have faith that this will work. I even feel better now embarking on this new adventure- financially and spiritually. I think I just need to remember not to let doubt or fear enter my mind. On the onset, i'm sure it won't be the smoothest, but eventually I just hope to let all doubts fly off in the wind. I have Jupiter and Moon in Pisces at the 2nd house, opposing Sun in Virgo and Mercury in Libra at the 8th house. I, too, want financial security and I am struggling with the thought of how being rich would change my values on materialism (I don't want to be sucked into it). Currently, I'm focusing on doing what I love. If I do get rich, I plan to use it to improve mental health care for others, and to increase arts education in schools and communities From my natal chart, I can see my Jupiter in 2nd, Sun in 8th, Venus and Pluto in MC, and Neptune in 12th reinforcing my future causes in mental health and the arts. it works what IQ said.Because as we are all One,and as money is an Illusion,like All Is ( except us),whenever we are giving it to someone,we´re infact giving it to ourselves. Bashar explains this process much better than me but: you get what you give is also a short way to resume it. not expecting anything in return is the key - cause it is when its made out of Love,that Things do Come Back to us - once again,you´re just receiving Love,whenever you give It. Thanks for breaking that down, Diandra. The way how you explained that we are all one, and so when we give money to another, we are giving it to ourselves struck me. It makes me feel... empowered?Do you do this? How long did it take you to start giving freely without the "i'll get it back" reassurance in you mind. I find that karma makes me do a lot of things. I do extra chores, or do random good deeds because I think, "You should. Karma." It comes naturally, and without thought sometimes, but not always. I sort of feel like i'm faking being a good person. You are absolutely spot on Ami, you get what you give. Only, the math is that you get 3x minimum for good and only the same quantity for negative deeds.Hi Diandra,
