In my experience with Mercury Retrogrades whenever I'm hired during this period I without fail leave the job 3-4 months later. Its pretty consistent. Today I was just hired for a part time gig that I think I'm really going to love, but alas it is yet another Mercury Retrograde! What gives? Is this common among other people or is this something specific to me and my chart, which I will post just in case! I know Merc Rx is notorious for decision reversals, but jeez, can I catch a break? Lets Discuss! Is there anyway to break the Merc Rx reversal? IP: Logged |

I started the new job, and I adore it and my boss very much, so I would still love some insight if anyone has had a similar experience!IP: Logged |

I know people who get the job in mercury retro.I would not care about the transits when I try to get a new job. I've always said if the life want bring me the job I get it and if not it's not meant to be to me. I've got my best job on hard transit from pluto opp and square to my natal. IP: Logged |

Same exact thing happens to me. I know that whenever I get hired during this time period, I won't be staying very long. I see you and I both have our 6th houses in Gemini (with Chiron in it)....that may have something to do with it. IP: Logged |

Is it okay to start a business idea during Mercury RX? There is no way that I would be signing anything during the RX period, but do I have to wait until Merc goes direct to send a business proposal?IP: Logged |

Yes, to starting a business idea during a RX. No to submitting a proposal. 2010 has been a repeat of 2009 work wise. In January 2009 I was doing fabulous at a job I'd worked for two years. Come Mercury Retro someone had the idea to promote me. Within six months I'd completely burned out and quit. In January of 2010 I was doing an excellent job I found after the '09 one , but come Mercury Retro in January I was promoted to a better paying position...UGH. I was bored to tears. Ultimately, after much acting out, I was demoted. The peculiar thing is though, Mercury Retro coughs up more opportunities for me than any other cosmic event. Hmmmm... IP: Logged |

I remember desperately trying to avoid a start date I was given for a new job during a Merc retrograde, and just couldn't get around it. Overall, things worked out; I adapted to constant changes in my work locations and responsibilities. The influence would vary, though depending on how it ties into your chart, and awareness.

I havent signed any papers, it was just a verbal agreement, but so far so good. I like my employer a lot, so hopefully this will at least open future doors.IP: Logged |

Hi JChristine - Looking at your chart, your Venus ruler of Libra MC/career is conjunct Uranus, which would indicate unpredictable, sudden events. So are you in a routine type job, or one that has a lot of varied responsibility? You may want a lot of challenges built into your job to respond to that big cluster of Sag planets... You've also got a mix of Saturn and Uranus in that cluster, so you may go back and forth between wanting security (Saturn) and adventure (Uranus). Key is to integrate. Also important to stay positive with Saturn and Mercury so closely conjunct. Channel Saturn's energy into serious study, or perhaps work with friends/organizations - 11th house stuff. This forum actually fits nicely into that description! You do have supportive transits coming up from Jupiter and Saturn, and soon Uranus, so stay positive and good luck! IP: Logged |

Thank you for the insight Lightworker, I deeply appreciate it!I like this current job, because it's varied and I've met so many amazing people in just the two days I've worked there. I'm assisting a health care practioner with his patients, as well as helping in healing them as well...mostly with massage but also with other techniques. I like that everyday is a little different. You're right about Saturn/Uranus I want stability but I hate being bored with monotony. I'm currently in grad school studying chinese medicine...sometimes it feels like my brain has left the building and I can't concentrate or study nearly as hard as I'd like to...but I hope the supportive transits will improve my focus. Glad to be of help!Healing work is so wonderful, and really fits with your chart. Neptune rising would increase your intuitive approach to life, and may have to do with your 'focus' issues. Maybe you know a lot of what you're studying intuitively already? Again integration is key... IP: Logged |
