What is it with Mercury in Pisces? There is one person I know who thinks he knows everything. He claims that God has already been proven to not exist! Of course, I cant take that kind of ignorance! But I notice that people with Mercury in Pisces aren't that keen on making valid arguments and if they do they cant back it up but still they insist they are right about everything!Am I right? I think what he means by that is that you can't prove the existence of God.And there are plenty of people that share his beliefs without having Mercury in Pisces. The most ridiculous arguments I've ever had were with people with Mercury in Aquarius (like myself). Pisces in general isn't known to think of themselves as a foremost authority on anything. It takes someone close minded and stubborn to think that way. Pisces is too mutable. Where is his Sun? IP: Logged |

I recently met a woman from Spiritual Singles site. I am interested in her.She has Mercury in Pisces square Neptune. She doesn't strike me as being like the guy that you told about. She's a lightworker into Doreen Virtue stuff, angels, and spirit. I have a friend who is born the day after her, and she's into spiritual things too.

NO!He meant it has been PROVEN that God does not exist! I replied by saying "who proved this because he sure and the hell isn't famous for it!" I'm just saying I have noticed Mercury in Pisces don't have legitimate arguments although they think they do. Saying that we cant prove that God exists is a whole different story, one that I am totally in support of. But he is straight out saying there is no God whatsoever and it has been proven by science. I know someone with merc in pisces. We have never argued over anything not completely emotion-based, really, so I have no idea if he's like that. Sorry I can't be more help. Does his merc hit saturn or mars at all? Or, more likely, is his merc combust? IP: Logged |

rasberri - That's strange. I'm the opposite in the sense that I always say "nothing is certain" lol - ad nauseum. Even opinion I have - I find "uncertain" ultimately - because I simply don't know. I'm only a little piece of a very large puzzle which I'm not privy to.:edit: ^ I should add that - strangely - this includes the opinions/"conclusions" I argue for.. and even the ones I seem passionate about. For instance, I am doing my PhD now and writing on three separate papers - I have to take a stance and build an argument to support that stance in each of these papers. I always do *this* - but it is almost like an "act", because I am never convinced. Basically I can never *convince* myself. People don't catch on though. Most people would think I do have these opinions :edit: Pisces Merc here. quote: Mercury in Pisces don't have legitimate arguments although they think they do.
Well here you only posted the conclusion of his argument - not how he reached this conclusion, so I can't comment on the legitimacy of his argument. But in any case, his "conclusion" - seems like a strange thing to assert, mainly since a very large percentage of the world's population has spiritual beliefs (in the western world these beliefs are often mono-theistic). This kind of comment - "it has been proven God does not exist" - is sure to arouse argument in any social circle.. I'm curious about the rest of his chart and the aspects he has to Mercury. Is it possible at all that he was saying it to stir and get reactions out of people? I find Pisces Mercury to be changeable. You could find him arguing the opposite - a week later.. and saying that we have good reasons to believe there is indeed a God. I've noticed this going back and forth - sometimes. This is actually the reason why I don't personally care who wins debates like these - because I feel like everyone is right and wrong - and it's all a bit trivial to me. IP: Logged |

He's not changeable. In fact he's an atheist, always has been always will be. I dont know what his planets are doing exactly, but we do have very strong relationship synastry from what I remember. My ASC is Opposite his Sun, My Mars on his Venus, My ASC on his SN... But I have Saturn in Sag so... He's extra annoying. IP: Logged |

Sounds more like Sun or Mercury in Sag to me; they make some retarded assertions sometimes and expect everyone to believe it. IP: Logged |

I'd say the nail was hit when you mentioned your saturn. If you two have a mercury square saturn thing going on, no wonder he upset you. He may have been trying to be very sharp with you because he got caught up in that dynamic. I get awfully rebellious when saturn hits my mercury. My merc is in aries, so you can imagine how that might play out.IP: Logged |

Rasp, This is an aspect that should draw a person intellectually closer to God/Spirituality/Divine Consciousness. He is cheating his own Soul, surely he is not worth occupying your Mind Space.IP: Logged |

hmmm I thought of something else. Sometimes Pisces Mercury can blatantly lie if they have a reason. For instance - if this guy was a scientist or studying something science-related and he wanted to have credibility in the social-circles he hangs around - and to be perceived a certain way - he may lie about his actual beliefs. Things aren't always as they seem with any Pisces placement. Sometimes the 'lying' is manipulative.. so he might pretend to be a hardcore scientist to gain their trust and then do a 180 - thus getting his "peers" to open up to more spiritual concepts. rasberri - You have Pisces Mars if I remember correctly - Would you say people get the full picture when it comes to your actions, your motivations, your sexuality - and all things Mars related? PS. Obviously - he might just be a closed-minded jerk lol I'm theorizing IP: Logged |

mercury in pisces in the 8th here. perhaps your friend with mercury in pisces is so adamant about his position because he FEELS this way. it's a two way street. if logic says "this is right" the emotions become involved, then the argument for/against is full of passion. if there is no logic but the feeling of "rightness" is present, the native will do his/her best to rationalize their point of view. it's also a very intuitive merk. learning comes easy. it's almost more an absorption of knowledge than a real effort behind "learning."IP: Logged |

Religion is intangible.People don't believe in a Religion because it can be proven. They do because they feel a need for that. A lot of humans need this but it's not really a scientific proof. Religion does not need science to suggest the universe was created by God. People are still free to believe that no matter how the universe was created, and even if there was nothing before that, it was God that arranged this to happen.. So science can't prove whether or not there is a God. Or there is a reason we exist. Personally, I'm agnostic, so I question religions a bit but love the idea that our existence serves to a higher, and good purpose. IP: Logged |

SwirlKit - I agree to that ^ But the thread was about him asserting something which we can basically *know* to be incorrect. I haven't seen anything on international news in the past week or so about conclusive scientific proof that there exists no God. Maybe I missed it. Clearly, his statement: "It has been scientifically proven that God does not exist." - is incorrect. His religious/spiritual beliefs, or lack thereof - are besides the point. IP: Logged |

Mercury in Pisces + Leo Moon, now that's a motherf***er who thinks he knows everything (no offense to other people with this combo, ,I'd like to think I met the worst example)... He was dating my friend, soooooo annoying, he wouldn't shut up either, he would just go on and on "explaining" to everybody how everything works...and he thought everyone was delighted to listen to him...plus, arrogance and "I am better than anybody" attitude wasn't helping either.... I am not the type of person to have strong repulsion towards many people (or almost any people, I either find them cool or I don't even notice them), but boy, did that a**hole get on my nerves constantly... Luckily, my friend isn't with him anymore, she came to her senses. IP: Logged |

Exactly. Exactly. I have a super political friend who once asked me, "My god, do you have a stance on ANYTHING?" IP: Logged |

I have a Aquarius ex who sooooo many people feel the same way about (ie they DO NOT like him and think he’s a know it all). In fact he’s in a situation right now all his friends from undergrad have stopped talking to him (he graduated in May). They were just dealing with him until he moved. Now he has tried to visit and stay the weekend in our Universities City and no one wants him to stay with them as they say he is a jerk. Keep in mind these are friends he has had for 5 years! And you know how Aqua’s are about their friends. He thinks he knows everything, pouts when people don't listen and criticizes EVERYTHING (a la his Virgo Moon). In fact we have had conversations on why he was wrong because he couldn't explain why something was the way it was...it just was lol. Or I’d offer an opinion and he’d immediately think we are arguing. Plus he was VAGUE as hell. I'd ask him if he wanted to be friends...he'd say yes. Then he wouldn't try and when I would question him he’d say it was awkward and then says we are incompatible as friends. But then say later I'm amazing. It didn't bother me too much as I'm a Cancer Sun/Asc/Mars, so I’m used to not being able to really verbalize my feelings and thoughts...but my Mercury is in Leo...so yeah I am VERY outspoken with things. And pretty tell it like it is (I have a square to Pluto and trine to Uranus). The Aqua had his Pisces Mercury Square Saturn (he was SOOOO negative...even for me with a Cap Moon lol), a Trine to Pluto, Textile to Venus, Semi-Square to Mars, and Square Chiron in the 2nd house. His 3rd house was Aries.

Lol girly, my astro twin of your guy is the same way. So argumentative but makes absolutely no sense. It's like he can't properly glue together information. He's a smart guy, though. He works for the FDIC. He just allows his Mars in Aries to take over during arguments and shouts you down, even though he's WRONG.Anyway, the only reason he has friends is because he drops them every couple of years. That's why I got the chop. His friends now are only his friends because they haven't grown sick of him yet. IP: Logged |
