What is your moon sign and what are you like under pressure when forced to deal with your emotions?

Moon conj Neptune in Sag in the 11th: I turn to Higher Self for help and wisdom, I tend to detach a lot; a good thriller or a book distract me a lot...and I am also inclined to retreat in my imaginary world.

I have a Gemini moon which means I already get distracted easily and forget in 2 minutes and since neptune opposes it as well I am all the more forgetful.

I never remember the bad things people do to me..

I don't cry much. It takes alot for me to cry, I would need alot of time to bring on the tears because more than likely I am testing my tear ducts rather than really being sad

If I am stressed or upset I can talk about it rather than sook about it and do nothing. My gemini moon is a solution pro.

I cry when I watch those sad ridiculous videos on facebook that go around though so I avoid them. If I pay attention I am likely to get upset but that is very rare... God some of them are depressing!!

Avoidance is the key issue here for me.. Neptune doesn't help much either.

I have Aquarius Moon in the 4th and I'm always finding new ways of expressing or dealing with emotions. I do feel better talking it out with family and friends though

Moon in Aquarius, sextile Sun, trine Uranus and square Saturn & Mars.

I have a fairly even temperament generally. When I can't define and therefore express my emotions I become very frustrated and tend to implode or explode, sometimes simultaneously. I can take a lot before reaching that breaking point though. I think that's the problem. Channelling some of my Aries and having little vents would probably avoid the erruptions.

Ferdi has an Aquarius moon but he does not know how to deal with his emotions at all. I think it must be hard for him to be a Taurus sun which is very fixed and a fixed moon like Aquarius.

I am a cardinal sun and a mutable gem moon so I can kind of pick but his sun and moon are at conflict with each other and in an exact square aspect. i wish he had all those nice Aqua moon traits.

I think the problem with Aquarius Moon is that it really does try to intellectualise the emotions. There's the mental thing that's ticking away telling you how you think you should behave or react rather than just feeling what's actually there.

Aqua Moon is also like this odd switch, I've found. There are times when I've been in highly emotional situations and I've just said to myself "I can distance from this" and just do. It's very strange. And, I really do think that despite the Air, Aquarius is actually a very emotional sign. That's my experience with Aqua influenced people.

I'm a gemini moon and I kinda agree with you belgz.

As long as I distract myself I'll be fine! The worst thing for me is being alone when dealing with intense emotions. I need to be with people so I can talk about it and rationalize everything into oblivion.

However, I do find my moods can change rapidly... so I'll be totally fine in the morning and then upset in afternoon (or vice versa).

I don't have much time to go into things, but I can relate to nigel, and at times to belgz. I'm not even sure how to explain myself right now, because I'm not sure I see the point in being born with a Gemini Moon, since I got saddled with a square from Mars in Pisces, sitting in Scorpio's natural house, and trining Pluto.

This is one of those times when it would be easier for me to have someone I know away from the boards, on here... I'm weird in that I can be a total romantic and softy (as Gypsee pointed out on another forum here ), but I'm also very practical when it comes to certain things.

And, yes: distracting me is good, although when sad or depressed, I need that time to cry it all out... it's just a problem when I need to do that *every day*. Late last year, I apologized to my mother, and told her if my mood was as low the next day, I would keep to myself. She said, "No, you come and find me, and we'll talk it out, then change the subject, laugh and you'll feel better." I really do need to get out more, but I also love my alone time.

Sorry, I'm all over the place - I haven't been feeling well, and ended up in and out of sleep for fourteen hours. Ugh. If DD's out there, I'll try to remember to respond to you in the Venus thread later.

*edit. I have wondered if part of the reason people didn't stand up for me - most people - when I was younger, was because they thought I was fine, and didn't need their support. I also remember getting into an argument with a teacher, and getting very upset.. she later told me that she didn't expect me to take it so hard (what she'd wrongly accused me of).

Change of moods is common with me too. I can snap very quickly and then doing something cheeky afterwards within minutes and smiling trying to come back to happy feelings hehehehe..

Sometimes I like a good debate aka argument

About Aqua moons being emotional.. yes indeed they are!

Teasel - I can relate quite a bit with what you've written.

I do need to cry it out, but there comes a point where I need to be with people and talk about it.

I never get the emotional support I need because I don't like asking for it - and like you said, people assume I'm fine and can handle my own. It's a bit frustrating but hey, at least we give the impression of being super strong? haha.

I have Moon in Cancer conj Midheaven.

I am quite comfortable with emotions or facing them. I spend some time a day to evaluate where I am emotionally, just to make sure that I am not storing some negative emotions, etc.

BUT...

I get uncomfortable with being emotional with people. I don't do that whole crying together and that whole thing of having Cleenex moments with my girls and such. I also believe that when two people are involved, if one is crying and being all hyper emotional, the other must be the opposite of that to balance things out. I think I would feel like things are going haywire if everybody around me, including myself, started being emotional and crazy.

For example, if I am crying, and someone starts crying because I am crying, it makes me stop crying.

I am cool with facing emotions privately.

I just meant, if you read this thread.

I just came back, because I thought about how I used to get lost in drawing and painting. If I was extremely upset and nothing else was helping (or I had no good distractions), focusing on a painting, and getting lost in it - however bad it turned out - until I was exhausted and ready to sleep, did the trick.

nigel: When I was having all kinds of trouble in school, thanks to other kids, my mother told me (much later), that she knew I was having some trouble, but she also knew that I was dealing with it.

My moon is in Virgo/8tj and I try to keep busy or escape through a good book, movie, or daydream instead. If I can't do any of those things, I can become a huge critical biatch under stress.

I feel the same way. Funny this is that I'm hugely empathic too and that is why I often find myself shying away when people want to do that (I'm already absorbing what they're feeling and it sucks). Maybe its just not practical to me; its better to help them solve the issue or atleast come to some conclusion.

Gem moon and in 9H. i'm extremely uncomfortable being in the middle of someone's emotional scene. i dealt with my own emotional side privately. there's a certain depth no one can ever reach simply because i won't let them. is my Taurus Mars doing this?

Aquarius moon here..

I agree with PeaceAngel 100%
I try very hard to intellectualize my emotions.
I hate to let them just run wild. I like to keep them structured so to speak. I'm sure that has something to do with my Moon being in the 10th house and sextile to Saturn (in Capricorn) I can verbalize them very well too. (Logical air sign like Aquarius)

When I'm hit with an emotional crises, I act very indifferent. Some people have accused me of not caring but it's not true at all. I care, very much in fact. I just hate to let my emotions run freely.

I can cry in front of others and express my emotions, I don't like to, but I will if I'm pushed to the edge.

Am I emotional? Yes very. I just don't like to show it. I like to have a cool, calm and collected pose at all times.

Same for me, with Moon in the 3rd & Neptune on the 3rd/4th house cusp.

Are/were you easily deceived by female friends??

I have Leo moon in the 1st house. I wear my emotions on my sleeve, even when I don't want to >

Moon squares Saturn, so if I am not expressing my emotions, I am bottling them up.

Gemini moon in 1st opposing neptune in 7th. Belgz said it best. Being a capricorn though people think I'm cold hearted by the lack of emotion and "inability" to deal with it. When I get stressed I become super chatty.people can confide in me because I usually forget the secret anyway. Takes a lot for me to get mad but then my cap mars comes out and I'm ready for a fight. I hurt people more with more words.
Does anyone notice a that they become ill from the avoidance of emotions with an air moon? Like you just don't feel stressed- your brain is telling you one thing but your body another?

I have moon in Libra in 3rd house. I try VERY, VERY hard to communicate fairly. I will do this, until I am pushed and pushed and pushed...

If you still don't get my side, and can't find a reasonable balance with me, then I will turn cold as ice.
