i think trines are too over looked as an aspect.

everyone talks about conjunctions and oppositions and squares because its more consciously noticed.

but once past the initial stage of two people being together,

i think trines are just as significant?

i believe trines are just as strong but because the signs flow so well, we do not Consciously notice the aspect as much unless its between planets natively square in energy, e.g. mars/venus.

the reason being because what we are 'used' to isnt challenged so much, it really does just flow, but i think this is a unfair reason to overlook this aspect in all forms of use of astrology.

Hi Letram
I love my trines. Each one is special and valued ,greatly
I have Sun trine Neptune,Mercury trine Neptune, Mars trine Saturn, Pluto trine NN.
I may have some more.
Each one brings certain gifts. Sun trine Neptune makes me sensitive to the other dimension and musical.
Mars trine Saturn gives discipline.
Pluto trine NN gives a strength in achieving my greater goals i.e be the person I was meant to be.

I have wonderful sextiles ,too( Sexies as Sanchuness called them )
They are with Pluto. Pluto sextile Sun and Pluto sextile mercury.
I am just now digging for the sextiles.
The trines are an effortless flow.
The sextiles are a layer deeper.

I wouldn´t overlook trines either. It`s just that in the beginning usually something has to "grab you by the balls", and that is usually not a trine. But after that initial spark they are quite beautiful.

I don't understand this question because the majority of astrologers, especially new astrologers, tend to gravitate toward trines because of the ease of the energy and because trines have been "marketed" as "lucky" or "good" aspects and everyone seems to want more good, luck and happiness in their lives. There's more of a tendency toward wanting less stress in our lives. Squares are machines - levers - and force action. Oppositions force awareness whether you want to deal with a subject or not. Trines are the tropical vacation of life where as squares are the ditch digging jobs of life - or it's mostly viewed that way.

I've been studying astrology for almost 27 years now and I've never heard of the trine aspect needing any extra attention. If anything what happens is that as people/astrologers mature and learn that difficult times are necessary in life and not to constantly look for good luck and ease in life, they begin to garner a healthy respect for the stressful activity compelling aspects like squares, oppositions, semi-squares, sesquiquadrates, quincunxes and quindeciles.

THEN they begin to understand that Grand Trines are NOT the luck inducing aspects they are advertised to be, that they can actually be a strong signal of relationship difficulties for individuals, but that's a story for another time.

DD,

I just reread your last post.

That's an excellent description of stressful aspects.

Raymond, you crack me up with your "I'm not a Virgo" signature.

(if you weren't so good at your (medical) Astro Research people probably wouldn't confuse you with a Virgo)

Shrugs

I just have an interest in Medical Astrology. It stems from my mom having long history of health problems (physical and mental),and she's been having serious health problems with diabetes right now and she almost died last December. Of course, I am interested in astrological medical problem indicators. My own psychiatric misdiagnoses also factor into my studies of Medical Astrology. Like often, astrologers focus on hard Neptune aspects as psychiatric disorder stuff, but the same aspects could factor in misdiagnoses, drug hypersensitivity as well as neurodivergent conditions. I am far more interested in Neuropsychological Astrology in regards to looking at charts of people that have neurodivergence. I think the genetic neurodivergence (that involves both significant strengths and significant weaknesses..extreme machines..often considered twice exceptional or dual exceptional) and the Indigo,Crystal stuff are one and the same. I believe that the transneptunian objects factor into that.

I have Medical Astrology books written by Eileen Nauman,Marcia Starck, and Noel Tyl.

Marcia Starck is my favorite medical astrologer. I've had my disagreements with her what she wrote like the stuff that she wrote on ADHD.
