I knew this would get your attention 
I am talking about 8th house planets.I think my 8th house planets are finally getting a sense of self. Writing has helped a LOT. I thank anyone who reads what I write LOL However, I think any planet in the 8th house is like a delayed adolescence. It lives under the parents wing, is not it's own person, does not think/act for itself, is part of the herd, does not stand on it's own etc. Then, when/if it does come out, it wakes up and says,"Wow, I am here. I am alive. I exist." It is a big thing lol Please write any comments on your experience with planets in the 8th house and their maturation . Be as detailed as possible. ------------------

Hmmm... I have sun, mercury, jupiter, saturn and pluto in the 8th house. I've always been considered "wise beyond my years" and 3 going on 30 kind of thing. I'm 28 about to turn 29 and my idea of a good time is being at home cooking a fabulous meal and then watching a movie while working on my knitting!! But...i will say that this is the first year of my life so far where I've tried to explore who I really am and try and be comfortable enough to communicate it with others. I am still pretty secretive about what I think my talents and true self are, but I've started to express it to the people closest in my life. IP: Logged |

Yes, 8th house planets have a harder and more painstaking time defining themselves, getting their own identity,not what you are SUPPOSED to do.

How appropriate that my only Eighth House planet is Venus, and I've been in the gradual process of coming out for about 4 years. I struggle a lot with my sexuality because our culture doesn't lend much empowerment through bisexuality (stereotype: lesbians think I'm tainted, men think I'm looking for a threesome). I have a strong preference for women, but I still have a desire for men. I'm not gonna hijack your thread and turn it into one on heteronormativity and cultural analysis, so carry on  Oh wait - maybe this is my Eighth House Venus talkin'. IP: Logged |

That is fascinating (((kfn)))You know what I was thinking. HOW much of our life was pre--arranged? People always talk about this-- fate. Today, I feel really discourage like I will NEVER overcome these obstacles but how many were not anyone's fault--just how it was planned. Our brains can't answer all the questions but it is nice to think that things are ordered.
I know God is love so that part is OK.
I guess we can never truly see NOW or know now and that is the hard part. ------------------

PLEASE hijack ,away, Kfn. I love hijacks. Who knows where they are gonna go and I need a little excitement  It just hit me that the 8th house is finding about who you are. You(and I, anyone) is a blend of unique qualities. Why be someone you are not? That is the 8th house, by jove lol ------------------

I was recently asked by a friend to contribute to an anthology that her and her friends are compiling about radical feminism. I'm very interested because I've always felt a little left of center, no matter the group. The only place I've ever felt right at home is with my family (my mother, my two older sisters, myself, my nephew, and my niece). I had a professor once tell me I was insightful: "You say things I've never heard in all my years of teaching." I'm just quirky, I suppose; maybe hijacking is my forte. I'm happy with this as long as I'm not disrespecting others.Ami, have you tried analyzing your Eighth House in combination with the planets in them, and the signs they're in? For example, for me it would be a combination of Eighth House (or Scorpio) energy, combined with Venusian energy, combined with Aquarian energy. IP: Logged |

About 2 yrs ago my Prog Sun and Mars entered into my 8th house while squaring my Natal Pluto. (it still feels new to me even tho it's been 2 yrs) Since then I have been calling people out on their actions and asking them to do the same so I take responsible for my actions. I have been shedding superficial relationships and if I meet someone new if it isn't a deep connection I just let the relationship go. I wasn't intimate for about 2 yrs b/c I couldn't have sex just for "fun" and since I was scared to have this deep connection during sex I just shied away from it. I already have Venus in Scorpio so it kind of prepared me for this situation but I'm still overwhelmed with my emotions... In a couple years Mercury (ruler of my chart) will be entering into the 8th- which kind of scares me... lol. My Saggie stellium does not like all this intensity!! lol IP: Logged |

Wanting to be different and enjoying it is typical Uranus energy, isn't it?In my 8th house, I have Gemini Sun, Gemini Mercury and Cancer moon.

That is interesting that 8th house energy is hard for you. It is surprising, though, cuz you have a Scorpio Venus--right?
I wonder why cuz I would think you would be used to intensity with that Venus.
