824 Anastasia is a main belt asteroid orbiting the Sun. It is approximately 34.14km in diameter.[1] It was discovered on March 25, 1916 by Grigory Neujmin at Simeiz Observatory in Ukraine. My interest in this comes fairly recently. A couple of days ago, I was searching the database to add asteroids to my chart when this name stood out to me. Anastasia is the name of the lead character in the book series that I am writing. So, I checked its position in my chart and guess??
Anastasia is exactly conjunct my MC at 15 Taurus! Kinda appropriate, seeing that I want to make it my career. Another important point was that it is retrograde and anyone who knows me can tell you about th kind of obstacles I have to overcome to get my book out there. Still, thumbs up for astrology. ------------------ Look down at me and you'll see a fool. Look up at me and you'll see your god. Look straight at me and you'll see yourself.

Asteroid Astrology worksI wouldn't be surprised to see that you have the geocentric or heliocentric Anastasia Nodes prominent in your chart all objects have nodes. Nodes are just the intersection of the orbital planes of 2 objects. Imagine rings that are intertwined and the higher intersection is north node and the lower intersection is south node heliocentric nodes would be collective associations, connections geocentric nodes would be personal associations, connections http://www.true-node.com/eph1/ ------------------ No..I am not a Virgo.

Glaucus, how does one find the helio/geocentric nodes???I def. wanna check them. edit: I checked your link...both Geocentric and heliocentric nodes are at 15 Taurus. P.s. Your signature...I hope you didn't mind me commenting on how thorough you are when it comes to analysing ------------------ Look down at me and you'll see a fool. are you sure that you calculated the nodes?Did you check both North Node and South Node boxes when calculating geocentric? Geocentric nodes of objects are usually not opposite each other. You can check only North Node box when calculating heliocentric because the heliocentric nodes of objects are always opposite each other like the lunar nodes. Jeffrey Wolf Green uses geocentric planetary nodes in his Evolutionary Astrology. He believes that they give karmic insights. He believes that the geocentric south planetary node can reveal pastlife karma.
I just extend it to minor planets like asteroids, centaurs, transneptunians Zipporah Dobyns wrote a Node Book, and it included the nodes of the Moon, planets, and the 4 major asteroids It was Theodor Landscheidt that pioneered the use of geocentric planetary nodes in Astrology. Zipporah Dobyns was at one of his lectures. Grant Lewi and Carl Payne Tobey are pioneers of the use of heliocentric planet nodes in Astrology. They believed that contacts to them were more significant than contacts to the planets themselves because of the collective nature of the heliocentric nodes.

Dear Raymond I would like to ask you a question. IF you have an asteroid conjunct a planet--is it a blending of the asteroid WITH the planet? For example--what would Venus conjunct Eros be like or Scorpio conjunct Valentine? Thank you ! ------------------ Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend. IP: Logged |

Oh, found a lil' tidbit on the internet.Anastasia is associated with resurrection...can't even begin to explain how profound this has been in my life, career-wise. ------------------ Look down at me and you'll see a fool. Ami,I'm not exactly sure of the energy of Valentine or how it manifests in my life, so I can't say for sure. But since it's associated with Love, I guess I can start from there. I'm very devoted and once I have given my heart away its forever. It's already a reality for me actually... I just broke up with my boyfriend because I told him I already gave my heart away to someone else a long time ago... I really cared about him, but not as much as the person who ignited this true love when I was nineteen. So I guess my ego has and is experiencing the feelings of having true long time love in my life. I really honestly feel very lucky for that. IP: Logged |

Very good explanation, Rasperri. Could you venture a guess how a Valentine /Scorpio conjunction would be --in a guy?IP: Logged |

Mars conjunct Valentine?Well first I would like to know where it falls in his chart. Is it ruling anything important? Otherwise if Mars is aspecting his personal planets, then he is probably very, very romantic when it comes to sex. I mean he must have passionate love with someone. Let's just say his sex acts aren't done for mere pleasure, but for pure love. IP: Logged |
