The time when Sun catches up to Venus (or the other way around) in the Solar Arc it's supposed to be about finding true romance or getting married. I wonder if that's the case. A friend of mine recently went through it and, though she did receive a marriage proposal, it was from an unpredictable, unreliable guy and she turned it down. I'm still 8-9 years ahead of this arc, so I wouldn't know. But I'd like to hear others' experiences, if you'd like to share. ------------------ *previously Izo* Every day is a battle with yourself, one you can never win, nor lose, nor abandon IP: Logged |

It works.I'm positive your friend loves that person very much. The progression is important too. It's like the love of your life aspect. It can mean a meeting, a marriage, or even a child with someone who is your true love. My SA Venus will conjunct my N Sun when I'm 24, and a psychic told me that's when I will have my first child. Oddly enough, the person I will prob end up having the child with will have his SA Venus/Mars conjunct N Sun the same year.... We'll see! But I met him when his P Venus was on his N Sun... And it's is a very strong connection for both of us. My SA Mars was conjunct my N DSC when we met. IP: Logged |

Wow! But I thought sextiles had little effect when reading solar arcs. I had the Venus-Sun sextile and I don't recall anything special about it yet. Will have to search my memory. ------------------ *previously Izo* Every day is a battle with yourself, one you can never win, nor lose, nor abandon IP: Logged |

She does, Rasperri, very much. But it was an unhealthy, destructive relationship and I think (and everyone close to her thinks) she's better off without him. I'm so excited for you! Keeping fingers crossed! Keep us posted if you tie the knot! ------------------ *previously Izo* Every day is a battle with yourself, one you can never win, nor lose, nor abandon IP: Logged |

SA Venus=Sun or Sun=Venus is not automatic for marriage. It suggest the meeting of a very important love in your life, but no guarantee of marriage. However, if you are an active artist it can suggest very strong artistic success. In my case SA Sun=Venus happened for me in 2005. It showed up with SA Venus=Moon at the same time. It was the beginning of a very successful 2 1/2 year musical success for me. Venus rules aesthetics as well love and social aspects of life. I was very disappointed that a husband or special boyfriend didn't manifest, but there are other SA aspects of planets and points to midpoints, etc. that also suggest meeting the marriage partner. I just wanted to put that out there because that is the experience that a lot artists have during those Arcs, but don't feel doomed or disappointed if a lover doesn't show up at that time. Hera, I'm wondering, your friend who experienced this, was she an artist? Are there any other artists that have had this experience? Also, Hera, when using Solar Arcs you don't use the sextile only hard aspects such as: Conjunction, Square, Opposition, Semi-Squares, Sesquiquadrates and Quindeciles. IP: Logged |

GV beat me to saying it isn't always about love. It can be about anything venus rules, which isn't just love. It's also finances and values and worth -- 2nd house matters. Then you have to take into account which houses are being affected in the natal, where natal venus is located, where sun is located, and which cusps are ruled by these planets. The signs are important too. I have p. venus moving into conjunct my n. sun and SA venus about to conjunct my n.MC

Oh yeah, Diana. SA Venus=MC is also a big one for marriage. I've seen that one pop up so many times before people get married. Also, that one usually occurs for the actual marriage, not just meeting the lover, but the actual event. I hope there's someone special in your life now, if that's what you're looking for. Also, I've seen that in the chart of many children and one of their parents will get married when SA Venus=MC. I've seen that about...wow...about 5 times. IP: Logged |

I believe SA venus is a big one for marriage, but I don't want to get married..haha. So for me, maybe it means I'll make a deep commitment to someone, but not an actual marriage. Or maybe it will be career. I don't know...Interesting that the SA/MC is the actual marriage and p.venus/sun is meeting someone. I have p.venus/sun at approximately the same time. I am currently not with anyone. ETA: I checked and I have the SA Venus/MC before the p. venus/sun. It's probably a year prior.

Next year solar arc Venus will conjunct my ascendant.Venus rules my eighth and I'm expecting a big pay out from insurance some time end of next year It might be that since transit Jupiter will be in my eighth then too. So I guess that rules out marriage. :/ IP: Logged |

I have Venus = Saturn coming up really soon. Saturn ruling my 8th and Venus ruling 5th. I'm hoping it's a stable, intimate relationship. At the same time I'll have in my progressions... P Venus square MC (Venus ruler of my 5th) P Venus conj my Merc (Merc ruler of 1st and 4th) P Venus square my Sun/Moon Midpoint P Jupiter (ruler of my 7th) Trine to Merc (1st and 4th) and P Venus Trine P Jupiter P Sun Trine North Node I hope something positive happens

I loved the way it felt having my sa Sun cnj my Venus. That's the first time I can remember being profoundly optimistic and secure about commitment. My cynicism that had always lurked inside me vanished. During that time, my SO and I held an unofficial, private (just the 2 of us) ceremony where we exchanged wedding bands. We didn't get officially hitched for another 2 years, but that was a major transitional period for us. (He had his p.Venus cnj his Sun.) A few months before our ceremony, my mom was diagnosed with a terminal illness. In the past, that would've impacted my love relationship like this: I'll leave now. This will be a struggle and I'll go through it alone. What was so life-altering for me during this time is how easily I left that pattern behind. He wanted to be there for my family and me, I wanted him to be there, and so he was. Devotion is so simple and real, but before that moment I didn't believe it was real for me. I didn't think I'd receive it. And suddenly there it was, undeniable, and I was believing in it and becoming a different person b/c of that belief. I give sa Sun = Venus two thumbs up. That solar arc was really a gift. My mom's illness was heartbreaking. If I didn't have that solar arc keeping my heart strong, her illness may have broken me. She said during that time I was her "angel and sunshine." I don't know if I would've had enough joy inside me to give to her if I hadn't had that solar arc helping me. IP: Logged |

That is so lovely, Jane.In a few years, my progressed Sun (which has been conjunct my progressed descendant, for several years now), will conjoin my natal Moon, Venus and South Node, as my ascendant changes signs to Sagittarius. I hope it's a good thing for me. IP: Logged |

teasel and Diana -That solar arc even has its own theme song for me. Let Love In by the Goo Goo Dolls. It's linked with a moment back then. So now whenever I hear that song, it takes me right back. I hope your progressions/solar arcs knock your socks off too. quote: You sound just like me, btw.
My condolences. Sag Moon and Venus, right? IP: Logged |
