I've read that having the Moon in the 5th house is an indicator of fertility while having Saturn in the 5th house means just the opposite. What does it mean when you've got both in the 5th house?IP: Logged |

I don't agree with that interpretation. Saturn does not deny, Saturn delays. Saturn stands for frustration and limitations but also structure and discipline. My interpretation of Saturn in the 5th house would mean one who will have children when mature (mentally) or what ever cusp has Capricorn, the person must mature in that area of life before they have children. But you must remember that 5th house rules more than just children. It rules how one enjoys themselves, romance, and creativity. That's just my opinion. I'm no expert. ummmmMy mother has Neptune in Libra, Moon in Scorpio, and Saturn in Scorpio in 5th She had my half brother at 15 years old, and she had me at 17 years old however, she had a hysterectomy at 23 years old because of cervical cancer
but before that, she was definitely fertile

Octomom, Nadya Suleman has Saturn in the 5th House. I think Saturn in her 5th is a perfect reflection of the difficulties she initially encountered with her fertility and then strategically developed clear and concrete plans with great determination to give birth to her own children no matter what obstacles were in her way.Not many people would call her wise or mature at the time she conceived her children and made the decision to give birth to them all considering her inability to care for them all, but we have already witnessed some of her growth and maturity through the duress of her situation. At first her ego wouldn't allow her to admit that she had made very poor decisions during her fertility process, but she has since conceded her original attitudes, especially in light of her lack of financial stability and that some of her children need highly specialized care in order to survive. Saturn = strategy, planning, determination, hard work, concrete, wisdom and maturity. IP: Logged |

LadyAries, I've got capricorn on the 5th house cusp. I didn't think to mention it before...whoops!But all in all, okay I think I understand then, from what you all've told me. So it depends on maturity (of course it does, it's conception). Thanks for everyones input! IP: Logged |

My friend has Saturn and north node in fifth. She conceived the first month she got married (she was 29) and then she fell pregnant using protection three months after she gave birth. So she was older and her son has moon in cap.

I don't buy into astro indicators of fertility. I have many of the classic indicators and am not infertile.I think your Moon and Saturn will point to the conditions surrounding your life as a parent, and that they'll be marked in your child's chart. Moon & Saturn to me spell a lot of devotion to the family and a more traditional upbringing, barring a square to Uranus, etc. IP: Logged |

My mom, she has pluto in the 5th House, she had a still born baby young, i read in Ll threads, that Pluto in the 5th house could also mean a child that has scorpio traits I have pluto in 10th and my brother has pluto in the 1st house and if the baby would have survived, she would been a scorpio. I have empty 5th house , 5th cusp is capricorn , saturn in1st conjunct AC and sun in libra Hmmmmm... From the definition about saturn and 5th ,I feel having baby is a huge issue for me , I'm scared of that . It's really hard for me to have one and right now still don't have one. But another area that 5th rule ie. Romance , sport, fun ,etc are not effect by saturn because I have libra sun /cancer moon/venus in leo .About infertile .. strange that I always "feel" that I'm fertile maybe my cancer moon said so From the previous reply that said , the saturn in5th will delay child birth when they have mature , I think this sentences can describe me exactly because I always feel insecure, or feel that I'm not good enough to have them. My boyfriend has a very active 5th house, including Saturn here.We are childfree but it's primarily my choice, he is indifferent to having children. Maybe Saturn here just makes the native lose the urgency to have them, while the moon would do the opposite. I know that people heavy in the 8th house and Scorpio just can't wait to reproduce. I have my saturn in my 5th house. I realized that whenever my parents fight and talk about divorcing etc. my mind would always jump to the conclusion (as if I have already decided what I really want to do when I grow old! im 18 yrs old now) that I may not really want to get married at all in the future, its just all the trouble I see within our family that turns me off about marriage, OR if I ever do so, I always promise myself that it has to be someone that truly understands me and not just simeone who uses me for their own good. I can honestly picture myself getting married and having babies in my early/mid thirties I gotta admit, because of this outlook in life I learned that I am actually more of a "career" person. I wouldnt want to build a family which isnt really secured financially, I want to be able to attend the needs of my kids (if ever im going to have one) without worrying where to get money from. When I tell my friends that Im just gonna work my ass off until I have come to the point that I am conteted, that I feel secure THEN thats when I'll get marry, start a family etc and they just laugh at me I dont see anything with that, but i dont know this could be just me as I am a very saturnian person myself IP: Logged |

I have Pisces 5h cusp and mars in Aries in my 5thI never have had children and always use birth control. (I'm in my 20s and am not married) My friend had a pregnancy scare and her test came with a bonus fertility test - which I happily took. Passed. So that's all I can really add to this discussion. I have a lot of birth data saved with accurate times of peers but my friends haven't started that chapter of their lives yet. I'm sure I ll have more to offer this topic in the next ten years. Wow guys! I'd forgotten about this post. But you bring up some interesting points. I have Aquarius on my 5th cusp with Capricorn on my 4th. Difficulty with conceiving would make sense. I have a blood disorder that makes miscarriages more likely. I'm also big on being married first and have my finances in order. IP: Logged |
