This is a real "blast-of-the-past" story.

I was moving back home into a flat next to my parents, and at the same time a house vis a vis has been sold to a young couple.
Turns out the woman is the little sister of a very old friend of mine!

Surprisingly she recognized me as well, though it is been so long ago, that I used to know her brother.

Her brother and me have known each other from elementary school and been hanging around quite a bit. Actually we saw each other every other day after school (we were also going to the same school) for 10 years, until he dropped out of school, and simply disappeared from my life. It shook me pretty hard back then; we were only friends, but he has been a constant part of my life for 10 years, so, of course it was a shock, when he left school and disappeared.

I never thought of looking at his synastry, but after being on the "welcome-party" for his sister yesterday (didn`t see him there though), I thought I would be having a peek.

(and how funny, that Tr Karma has just passed my Sun for the last time, and currently is exactly conjunct my REIKI-CIRCE-SEKHMET. lol)
The Sabian is: "An old bridge over a beautiful stream is still in constant use".

Unfortunately I do not know his birthtime, but he has the same Moon sign as me.

Synastric aspects
--------------------

The one configuration that popped out at me immediately was the fact that he has natally an exact Mars-Pluto-opposition (which explains his "aggressions-problems" he used to have; when he was having one of these "moments", I was usually the only one who could calm him down).
I have a Venus-Pluto-square, and this forms a synastric T-square of

his Mars square my Venus exact
his Pluto square my Venus exact
his Mars opposes my Pluto (2)
his Mars conjunct my IC (1)
his Pluto conjunct my MC (1)

- now that doesn`t look like a source of joy, does it?

others I noted were:

his Sun conjunct my SN and DESC (1)
his Sun trine my Pluto exact

his Mars trine my Mars (1)
his Mars trine my ASC exact

his Jupiter square my Saturn exact

his Pluto sextile my ASC exact

asteroids
---------

his Sun opposes my Lust exact
his Mars trine my Lust (1)
his Pluto sextile my Lust (1)
his Venus conjunct my Eros (1)

his Saturn trine my Juno exact

his NN conjunct my Amor (1)
his NN conjunct my Valentine (3)

his Chiron trine my Sun exact
his Chiron quinkunx my Valentine (1)

his Juno trine my Aphrodite (1)
his Juno conjunct my Karma (1)

his Karma conjunct my Saturn (3)
his Karma conjunct my Eros exact
his Karma conjunct my Vertex exact (and opposing Sun/Moon-mp exact)

his Amor square my Karma (2)
his Amor conjunct my Juno (1)
his Amor trine my Saturn (1)

his Valentine conjunct my Sun (3)
his Valentine trine my Chiron (2)

his Eros quinkunx my Psyche exact

his Lust conjunct my Venus (2)
his Lust square my Pluto exact
his Lust conjunct my Spirit (2)

his Aprhodte square my Venus (1)
his Aphrodite conjunct my Pluto (2)
his Aprhodite sextile my ASC exact

his Spirit conjunct my Moon exact
his Spirit trine my Karma exact

his DNA conjunct my DNA (1)

his Juno square my Jupiter (3)
his Zeus trine my Hera (2)
his Adonis trine my Inannen (3)
his Eros quinkunx my Psyche exact

Composite
------------

Sun in Pisces trine Saturn in Cancer exact

Pluto conjunct Aphrodite
opposite Ceres
sextile Valentine and Neptune and NN

Valentine conjunct Neptune exact
trine Ceres exact

Valentine widely conjunct NN (4)

Grand trine in fire of:
Eros in Leo trine Lust in Sagittarius trine Chiron in Aries (all aspects under 1 degree)

Pluto trine Mars

Juno conjunct Aura
Jupiter conjunct Psyche

Sun conjunct HEra
Chiron conjunct Zeus
(Karma conjunct Kaali) sextile Rudra
Tristan square Isolda

Juno opposite Uranus exact
Venus square Saturn (2.3)
Amor square Chiron (2)

We were just friends, really.

How did the connection feel. Were you the one who could "get: him as you seem to indicate.

Did you have that deep type of understanding of his anger etc?
You don't know house overlays--right?
I was thinking that maybe you had planets in his 12th house or vice-versa.

PS I STILL cannot believe how God your English is

Thanks, Ami.

Yes, I felt I could "get" him, not in the sense, that I was feeling the same, but somehow I just understood the inner tension he sometimes was going through.

Actually in the beginning (when I was like 6 or 7 years old. lol) I was complaining to my mom, that this boy was teasing me all the time, and yet I hadn`t done anything bad to him.
And she said something like "Make your enemy your friend."
And this I did. I was being nice to him, and quickly his behaviour made a complete turn, and we became friends.
Over many many years.
He is actually the only guy who ever offered to (physically) fight for me. (Of course I declined).
It was when another old friend of mine was pursuing me to the point where it felt like stalking, and due to me being compassionate and nice, I somehow couldn`t be as hard in my rejection as I maybe should have, that is when Stefan stepped in and offered to make it "unmistakenly clear".
I must say though, that I do not remember him ever having been in an actual fight during these years.
And he certainly didn`t ever harm me in any way. The most harmful thing he ever did was staging the disappearing act, when he dropped out of school.
(He was having big problems with many of the teachers and also other pupils).

My houses are knowns, just his are lacking:

His Sun and Mercury in my 7th house
his Moon probably in my 2nd house
his Venus in my 8th house
his Mars in my 4th house

Actually there was one German song, that resonated very much with me, when he dropped out of school.
For some reason this song seemed to portray my feelings at that time quite vividly, though I would never have been able to even really be aware of them before.

I found an English translation:

Horizont - Horizon
Literal English translation by Hyde Flippo

We were two detectives,
hats low over our faces
all streets endless
there were no barriers for us at all
You and I, that was
simply unbeatable
a couple like lightning and thunder
and always on a burning hot trail.

We were such true friends
for eternity, it was obvious after all.
We didn't see the clouds
on the horizon until it was dark,
and then it happened,
I didn't get it.
It all went too fast,
but two people like us
can't ever lose each other!

Beyond the horizon things go on,
a new day
beyond the horizon on and on,
Together we're strong,
things with us went so deep,
that can never come to an end.
Something so great just doesn't pass by.

You and I, that was
simply unbeatable
a couple like lightning and thunder
but two people like us
can't ever lose each other!

Beyond the horizon things go on,
a new day
beyond the horizon on and on,
together we're strong.
Things with us went so deep,
that can never come to an end.
Because two people like us
can't ever lose each other!

Beyond the horizon on and on...

But all of this has been so long ago. 18 years.
But meeting his family really brought back some of the old memories.
Also the way even his parents recognized me, actually his Dad greeted me first and his words were: "The little DD."
Well, I am not so little anymore. Actually I am heavier than him by now.
But it just was such an instant recognition.

Hey DD, I'm wondering about that DNA conjunction you two have.

What does DNA really mean in synastry?

That's some spiffy synastry you two have.

I like all that Venus, Mars, Pluto, MC-IC action. Your Eros on his Karma and his Juno on your Karma, very nice indeed.

Losing him like that sounds awful.

edit. Deleted a nosy question.

DD, in addition to my previous question....

you remarked on the Moon/Moon thread about the family bond not feeling quite attractive, well with this synastry you have Moon/Moon + Sun/Dsc for some distance. How does it compare?

Thanks!

Rasperri,

the guy in question is 5 months younger than me. Apparently DNA turned retograde after my birthday and was at roughly (1 degree orb) the same location in his chart, when he was born.

What does it mean?
I think DNA might have to do with the genetical code, maybe some kind of genetic similiarity.

Lonake,

"you remarked on the Moon/Moon thread about the family bond not feeling quite attractive,"
I didn`t want to say Moon/MOon is not attractive, just not necessarily causing instant sexual attraction / magnetism.
Moon is all about emotions and needs, and having it in the same sign we probably have a similiar way of emotional reception and reaction, which might have caused a sense of familiarity and "getting each other", when noone else seemed to comprehend our way of being.
Both of us were kind of outsiders, though I was it more kind of voluntarily and because I was "just" different (with my love for astrology, musicals and other things). The interesting thing was that I had always been accepted and respected for this; everyone seemed to accept that this is how I am / was.
I have heard so much about groups shutting others out, but for myself I must say, that I willingly shut myself out. In a way I wasn`t outcast by a group, but I cast the group out.
I think it was different in his case though.

" well with this synastry you have Moon/Moon + Sun/Dsc for some distance. How does it compare?"
I have no clue honestly.
Moon/Moon - we obviously had some kind of familiarity and "getting eaach other" going on.
The Sun / DESC would imply that I might have seen him as a potential romantic partner. AS I said we have always been just friends (Maybe the reason for this was that we met when we were like 6 years old. lol).
Anyway, there HAVE been some rare occasion where this could have switched (and probably at some moments I was romantically interested, though not strong enough to really pursue it), but somehow one of us would always step on the brake. lol

Jane,

" like all that Venus, Mars, Pluto, MC-IC action."
Why am I not surprised you like that?

"Losing him like that sounds awful. "
It was. Though I never really admitted it.
But as a matter of fact I lost one of my best friends, and it came so suddenly, and on top of that, by cutting off any kind of contact (though I did not try to keep in contact myself; I think I was royally ****** with his sudden disaippearance lol) it became clear to me, that our friendship didn`t mean a ******* thing to him.
At least that was how I saw it as a 16 / 17 year old.

Funny thing is that some weeks ago I thought I saw him in town, but wasn`t sure. Maybe he really is still here, when his family is still living here, too.

Venus/Saturn, or maybe something in composite may reflect this?
