I'm pondering whether a mars/venus square between a couple in synastry could cancel out the effect of a venus/mars trine? The orb for the square is 3.5 and the orb for the trine is 3.6 degrees? Does one dilute the effect of the other? or would the square spice up the trine?IP: Logged |

I don't think they cancel out: astrology is not math, you know. But yes, the square will spice up the trine. A relationship with too many trines and sextiles tends to go stale over time. A seasoning of "hard" aspects keep things spiced up. The food analogy is good here. Think of trines and sextiles as the basic ingredients and the square, opposition and conjunction as the condiments. Too much condiments will make the relationship bitter and unfulfilling, too less will make it bland and boring. However, when you mix them in the right proportions, voila! You get an "a la carte" relationship. ------------------ Look down at me and you'll see a fool. Look up at me and you'll see your god. Look straight at me and you'll see yourself. IP: Logged |
