What changes? All I feel is my insides becoming like a pressure cooker. The imagined scrutiny and persecution is unbearable, as is all the rest of the demons that have come out to play.

how long has it been there, BM? mine is just approaching...

awhile ago i had ALL the big guys EXCEPT pluto go through my 12th...uranus, neptune and saturn all at the same time that pluto was squaring my sun...it was lovely...when i finally got through it! still here to tell the tale though, and have to admit i was pleasantly surprised to see how much i could get done and get through!!

pluto turns things inside out. 'imagined scrutiny'?

this is your subconscious coming to the surface. pluto plays no games, no fakers allowed. only the real. no blame and no victims or villains. pluto is showing you what is hiding inside of you so that when it gets to your ascendant, you will be erady to start making outward changes.

pluto just exacted its conjunction to my ascendant in jan of this year. but its been in orb since 09. and its also conjuncting my 12th house ruler.

just speaking from experience. i hope this helps.

Odd that after taking a nap or sleeping, I feel a bit better (considering the 12th rules sleep). That's just a part of the cycle, unfortunately. *sigh*

Katatonic: Wow, thats interesting: I actually have every 'big guy' except pluto in my 12th house natally. I can imagine that must have been interesting ride. Raymond, myself, and others were discussing how ALL the outer planets signify change, but in their own ways. You must have went through a complete makeover...LOL. I'm now approaching the 4th year of this Pluto transit, and even though alot has changed since this transit started, I still feel as though I have a long way to go. Apparently I have 9 or 10 years before it hits my Ascendant. LOL

electricmind: Thank you. I've re-thought everything you've said so far and it makes sense. This issue always been there as a super sensitive water person, now its just more noticible for alot of reasons. Pluto will definitely be challenging my Sun-Ascendant opposition, it seems. Hiding behind the Capricorn Façade no longer works.

Pluto started hitting my 12th house planets (including my chart ruler) not even 3 months into this transit and already things began to be eradicated. Or perhaps it was I who was changing, and needed to let go of things that didn't work. I completely distanced or cut myself off from people who I thought were friends but proved time and time again that they only had their own interests at heart. I guess I learned through moving 700 miles South that I should take care of my own life instead of extending myself to others...at my expense.

Now it's opposing my 6th house stellium and I guess the same thing still applies: alot of my behaviors won't work anymore if I want a change.

And I don't know why some people consider Juno minor sometimes? I have been able to pinpoint Pluto opposing it quite clearly.

you're welcome.

as pluto got close to my ascendant starting in about 2008-2009, it conjucnted neptune (my 3rd house ruler) and jupiter/ascendant. now its also squaring my 3rd house aries moon. th emoon rules my 7th house, and boy have my relationships been my testing and learning ground. my whole view of relationships have and still are transforming. i truly feel free.

trust me, it took me moving across the country, shaving my head, then moving back home. breaking up with the love of my life, meeting some plutonian folk along the way, and now reuniting with the love of my life. (he has natal pluto conjucnt his IC opposite his sun, merc, and MC!)

its all worth it. i can see the light now. i see what is going on now. next up, pluto will first conjunct my first house venus...although i get a break between now and then. then my first house mercury is up! pluto just loves me!

it worries me a little at this point. many of my family members have early aries/cancer planets and positions, and my grandson's dad has cap ascending and cancer mars opposing that.

i am hoping to get through this with my family all alive and healthy...otherwise i am prepared to deal, and hope i have done enough homework to deal WELL with it. i am glad it is MY 12th house, but it is said dad's as well...been going thru his 12th for awhile and i have to say he has risen to the occasion, but that mars opposition...and my mars is not far away from his!!

Electricmind: It sounds like you've had quite an adventure. Though I hope mine doesn't amount to shaving my head...I remember crying just after having my hair cut a few years ago. Going back to serious mode: I actually broke up with a Plutonian/watery person when the transit started, and then started talking to someone more airy with a water venus....but that didn't work out either. I'm still sort of dealing with a friend with a scorpio venus who never seems to grow or evolve though. It use to infuriate me, but now that I'm so many miles away, I'm apathetic. If people don't want to change, its not my problem. In case your wondering, things got to the breaking point with her when Pluto began squaring my 3rd house Aries Mars. I understand that I must take some responsibility for the situation, but friends don't compromise you the way she compromised me so many times due to her own selfishness. When I think of that, I'm kind of glad I'm down here in North Carolina now.

Katatonic: That's part of my issue too. I know of people with early cardinal placements and so far they seem to be pulling through the grand cross, but alot have had to make some real sacrifices. And yes, it is your 12th house, and therefore YOUR perception it seems. I'm learning from this transit that alot of things are my perception only. Especially since Pluto is gettting close to my Mercury/Neptune opposition. I'm curious as to how the Pluto transit has been to your grandson's father though. Has it been really subjective for him? Or has he experienced it externally?

On another note: I find myself wanting to retreat to the Mountains for some reason (Western Carolina). And in 7th house Sun fashion, I want a guide of some sort. Makes my 12th house stellium ashamed.

I too will have Pluto transit my 12th house (Capricorn) in 2012. And it's going to stay in my 12th house for 14 years! I do not have any planets in my 12th house.

Any advice on how to handle this, what to expect? btw, are secret affairs likely since it's a 12th house transit?

I'm not sure if its so much 'secret' as it is subjective and things you just don't see coming. Like electric said before, its never easy....but what you experience probably depends on whether it will aspect any of your planets or not, and what kind of aspects it will make.

I read something off of Donna Cummingham's blog that explained that its probably seems much worse than it is for me because its harshly aspecting both of my stelliums.

Courtesy of my natal 12th house stellium and alot of other placements, I've had that eternal 'I do not belong' syndrome and its been so much more intense ever since this transit started.

Since synastry is like transits to a person, if your pluto is in some one's 12th would the feeling me the same as the transit description.

Also even though Pluto is generational, I am 6 years older than him, so with everyone else their pluto was in his 1st.. So this is a first for him..

can't really say how this guy has been doing lately. haven't seen as much of him as i used to! his son developed a very scary bleeding disorder about the time pluto crossed into his 12th. this had its blessings but was a stressful time for all of us...

i have early cancer 5th house uranus (aqua rising makes this and saturn my ruling planets and pluto being in cap ...) so i am having a lot of worries about my kids (daughter and grandson) who have early aries placements and he has chiron at 6 cap opposite my uranus/mars mp and his dad's mars) sometimes i wish i had never learned astrology, but i am doing MY homework religiously that hopefully i do not project onto these three in a seriously negative way.

this coming full moon/equinox should be a real partay!

it is interesting to me that there are LOTS of people in the world who will NEVER experience pluto, neptune OR uranus in their 12th houses. of course they will probably experience the oppositions which can be just as hard and transformative...my daughter for instance, has cancer and leo in 12, but my grandson is aries rising so he has recently had uranus ploughing through his 12th and as that goes into his first, neptune is approaching 12. seems a lot for a young child to deal with...but he was born wise beyond his years.

Oh wow, I hope your grandson has been able to have that managed. I guess the transit isn't always so subjective...especially if it's hitting planets in other houses.

I always felt that way too: if I had never learned astrology, maybe I'd be ignorant to these transits. But thats really not the case: I'd just be ignorant to their influences. Preparing yourself seems to be the key to managing them.

Oh wow, yes....the full moon: in early Aries and Libra. Its right around a court date that I haven't been able to manage either. This does not look good.

I can't believe I'm serious about retreating to the Mountains. I'm about to become a Nurse and I cannot stand people....how sad.

yes bleeding disorder in the past now...and other stuff coming up, like two new siblings arriving within months of each other, one in each house...and probably a change of school too. a lot of change to go with uranus heading into his first house!

of course nothing is ever simple, even in astrology...as i just realized that though pluto won't hit my 12th for a few months yet, uranus is bumping up against n uranus...the applying square. and wouldn't you know my life is all of a sudden pretty much upside down. change in EVERY dept. of course saturn is on the other side too, i forsee a lot of work and possibly a new business in the wings.

exactically! his parents separated when he was 1...interestingly his father's sun/moon leo conj is also conj his mother's moon. his mother's sun is early aries and his father's mars early cancer; his birth coincided with his father's first uranus square...

I'm also having Pluto transiting the 12th, but I don't feel anything yet. I don't have planets in the 12th, or the 6th, just on the cusps and Pluto already dealt with them. Perhaps I don't feel it because it only recently started (like 1-1.5 years), as I understand you will feel it more at its end, when it will aproach your Asc. This is not going to happen too soon for me.

Katatonic,
I've been through Neptune and Uranus in the 12th, now I'm having Pluto. Though my life hasn't been all peachy, I must say that all the hardship has made me a better, more aware type of person. Your grandson will be alright.

hera, thanks. i am more worried about violent and self-destructive tendencies in the adults around him than i am about him. though if anything happened to any of his grownups that affects him obviously. he is a scorp so i don't really think pluto will do him much harm!! as i mentioned above i weathered uranus conj nept in my 12th, while pluto squared my natal sun/pluto conj and saturn went through 10-12th houses. oh and uranus opposition too! but i was pretty well grown by then and knew i could handle a lot of pressure already...he is just a bairn. it will probably help him become a force to reckon with in the future! i am just voicing a lot of my fears as they surface and doing my best to confront and collapse them so i don't project disaster onto my family!! lol, life is but a dream, right?

Kat, believe it or not, children are more resilient than grown-ups. I found it was easier to cope with bad transits as a child, when I could make up my own stories about what happened, than as an adult, when all I have is cold reality.
Don't worry too much about it, just be there for him in case something bad does happen.

This transit was very active for me not even 2 months after it started, all because it was conjuncting my Chart Ruler (Saturn) and Uranus. I also have planets in other Cadent houses that have been squared or opposed by pluto.

I also remember myself before this transit started and think 'Wow, I was dumb.' I know it was just normal teenager stuff but I can't believe the things I cared for or valued back then. It wasn't even 'me', to be honest, just the role that other people expected me to play.
