Never thought about using horary for sex of babies! Im the querent in this chart.
I found some rules (Lilly) of which to go by.
quote:
William Lilly says, to determine whether male or female, “See to the ascendant, the Lord that Sign, the Sign of the fifth and Lord of the fifth.” I trust you already know which signs are masculine and which are feminine? No? Okay, fire and air signs masculine; earth and water signs feminine.

He also advises us to look at the nature of the planets themselves. Lilly says the masculine planets are Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Sun; Moon and Venus are feminine; and Mercury changes.

also
quote:
Lilly says, if the testimonies are split, have a look at the Moon. You want to see what sign it is in, and whether it’s applying to a masculine or feminine planet.

Heres the chart:

LOL With Lilly's reasoning, it's going to be undecided!

Rising in Capricorn (female) but ruled by Saturn (male), 5th house in Gemini (male) ruled by mercury (changes)

So look to moon, as Lilly says...

---> moon in Aquarius (male) aspecting mars (male) AND venus (female)!

Then again, I'm not at all a skilled horary reader, was just trying to apply Lilly's reasoning

Congratulations, by the way!

... the 1st house ruler does aspect sun (male) and jupiter (male). So maybe a boy?

Do you know the date of conception? If you do, you can look at the Moon and whatever gender of the sign the Moon is in should point to the sex of your baby, supposedly.

different responses! yes i noticed the confusion in the chart, then looked to moon in aqua.
i dont know how to tell if a planet is applying to anything so i left it alone!
hi lara*
Thanks aya_and)baby!
this is my third, i have two girls, one a senior in high school and a twelve year old.

It looks like at conception, the moon was in pisces. (12th house if thats significant)so that would be a girl. hmmm.

I dont want another girl, but i will accept what I am to have! Wonder what its like to have a son...

AFAIK the moon isvery important in horarys, but it has already made all its aspects before changing signs (i.e. the moon is void of course) which would tell me that you won't get a clear answer from this horary, and the chart is for all intents and purposes unreadable.

The significator of the querent (chart ruler) is Saturn (male) and the significator of the quesited (5th house ruler- 5th house = children) is Mercury (male)...

astrology aside the first feeling I got was girl though

congrats! btw

Looks like the moon at the time of conception theory is out the window! The moon at the time of the question is more accuarate. Also notice chart ruler. We are having a HEALTHY baby boy!! So happy.
