Looking at the synastry between myself and my BF, I just noticed there is a yod with my neptune in the 4th in sag, quinx my venus in aires in the 9th, with his saturn in cancer in the 11th.

Is this the correct way to determine a yod in synastry, where each partner supplies some planets to form the yod?

We also have a neptune conjunct, which unnerves me a bit...and being in the 4th house, my father left my family when I was young in a very abrupt, unexpected and traumatic way, and he is adopted and does not know his birth parents.

Sorry, maybe I should have been a bit more specific. I meant to ask what would a yod in synastry indicate, with focal planet Neptune in the 4th?

I have also read that yods don't exist in synastry, but can be read in composite.

I am very much a beginning astrologer, so apologies if i am asking a silly question
