This thought occurred to me as I was studying synastry charts...it's said that Sun/Moon aspects are some of the best aspects to have in a romantic relationship-also having Sun/Ascendant contacts...I'm talking specifically conjunctions here. Now my own Moon and ASC are conjunct in Cancer and I realized that I am NOT attracted to Cancer Sun men. I will even go so far as to say the ones I have known I have particularly not liked...so that raises an interesting question. Here those are supposed to be favored aspects, yet that has not been true for me in the past.

Do you have any experience with aspects that are supposed to be great but you just do not feel it??

You may not be attracted to Cancer Sun men, but you are probably attracted to water, psychic, emotional energy coming from a man.

Sun signs are a bit overrated.

Moon and ASC aren't classic attraction indicators, anyway.

As for myself, I do like guys who are Libras (my Moon)... but my 5th house is in Libra.

Jupiter's bad aspects are said to not be so bad, but I think they are. If something challenges my Jupiter, I feel they do not support my belief system, and soon after that I lose interest in being with them. If I challenge their Jupiter, I tend to go overboard with it, and that makes me restless and prone to overeat, so no thanks.

I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but what I'm trying to say it's that it's all subjective. You might have other sensitive spots in your chart that you respond to, while aspects to your Asc and Moon leave you indifferent. There are points in our charts that we tend to respond very easily to, if challenged or stimulated, others remain silent.
For instance, I have an unaspected Venus and it is said that synastric aspects to my Venus will amplify everything I feel. Well, false alarm! It rarely happens to have relationships where my Venus receives lots of aspects, sometimes it remains unaspected. But place something at 28-29 Gemini (NN) or Sagittarius (Moon, DC ruler) and I'm instantly hitched!

No, have never felt attracted to men whose Sun was on my Moon. I find that curious too, because I have both Moon & Venus in the same sign, but men of that Sun sign have never done anything for me romantically/sexually.
I've found Their Sun on my Asc is another story, I quite like that contact, it's kind of draining ie, I wouldn't like it long-term, but it's nice..invigorating.

Hmm I guess it all boils down to your own chart..

I have Libra ASC and I'm in love with Libra Sun man but my Sun/Moon MP is aspecting his Sun exact so there are alot of things that can explain one's attraction to another.

I have never dated anybody that was my Sun (Saggie) or Moon (Taurus) sign. The long term relationships I have been in has been with 1 Libra (which 7 of his planets were in my 5th house) and 4 with Pisces (which I have 5 points in Sag squaring their energy) But my Sun is conj Neptune and my MC is in Pisces.

But the 'bad' aspect that I love is my Venus (in Scorpio) square their Mars. 3 of those 5 had their Mars in Aquarius... some reason I love that energy. (and that's all I am going to say at this point or this post is going to be rated X) lol
