I was wondering how other things can be answered if it has nothing to do with"does he love me"-questions.

Like the whereabouts of misplaced things, or missing persons or even if we are being observed, "stalked" by someone else?

What houses would I check for this? What about the dignities? And the aspects?

For finding missing things, usually the missing thing is indicated by the ruler of the 2nd house. If it is making an applying aspect to the ruler of the querent, the missing item will be found. The time it takes to find it is indicated by the sign and house position that the missing this is in, and how many degrees it takes for the two planets to make an exact aspect. The sign/house also determines where the missing this is located.
