I don't mind hearing the negative, when I'm in a decent mood, but if anyone has had positive experiences with Neptune transits, I'd appreciate you mentioning it here, even if it's just an, "I did!" because it's too personal to share.

I read something in a book, that brought to mind a positive Neptune transit - I'll try to post it in a while.

My upcoming transits will be:

Neptune conjunct Mars
trine Uranus/ascendant
square Moon, Venus and Nodes

All in the first few degrees of their signs. My vertex will be visited as it squares 6*Gemini, and my Saturn will be trined as it closes in on it at 12*Cancer, but that's further off. The first Lilith asteroid is at 4*Pisces, the 2nd at 7*Pisces, and the third at 20*Pisces... and Pallas is in there somewhere, along with Vesta conjunct my Mars.

Neptune will continue to be in my 4th, until it reaches 17*Pisces.

This is something I want to know, too, as my Sun is @ 1 Pisces.

Hey there,

Is Neptune really all that bad? Anyway, just had Neptune trine my Moon, and now in sextile to my Sun. What I noticed the most is a big spike in my imagination. Seems like little creative ideas and stories are/were constantly popping into my head. Usually when meditating or being quiet and still. Didn't feel all spacey and offbeat either. Just very well channeled, if that makes sense.

All I have to offer is progressed Sun square natal Netpune.
No, no, no, you don't want to go there!
Many times of self deception, it got ugly...
The thing that drives me up the wall with Neptune is it completely shields/covers your vision until -after the fact- Ugh!! You think you know exactly what's going on and it all makes perfect sense, has some higher meaning, but no (!) Neptune witchery is abound, fooling you and leading you down a path of thorns ::shudder::

Am hoping the t.conjunction will be kinder. lol.
Neptune squares are not my friend.

omg you want something positive, sorry!
i didn't see that part..

OK, positive Neptune Mars is fighting for the underdogs of society, and developing a sort of sexual allure, identifying with the hero, idealizing the hero.

But I know positive Neptune from being a Pisces Sun, the best is feeling at one with the Christ consciousness and seeing everyone as beautiful and lovely, more special than you had ever before imagined. You don't have to believe in christianity for this to manifest, basically you're falling in love with their soul and all the good in them, feeling that that is their true nature, and everything negative is due to falling away from their inherent beauty (higher selves). Neptune being the higher octave of Venus. So it's basically falling in love on a deeply spiritual level.
Not that I'm like this alll the time but I do feel it from time to time. And not all Pisces are gonna feel like this, so no one can jump on me for that, it's just that it's associated primarily with Neptune/Pisces

i have neptune transit conjunct my venus in aqurius the 10th house. not sure how to take it since it can be tricky but i refuse to believe anything negative. But anyway...I met someone who i believe could end up being the love of my life...the whole theme (neptune transit, my venus and my 10th house) resonate of him, he's a cappy with a venus aquarius and pisces rising..hmmm..

Thank you for responding. I was afraid it was going to be one of those threads, where someone might be tempted to post, "Bueller? Bueller?"

I'll be back in a while.

This is the excerpt from the book I mentioned - if it will post.

- - - - -

quote:
From Chapter Three of The Tao of Equus

I don't remember when it finally occurred to me that I was being haunted. The feeling had been sneaking up for weeks. The air was charged, full of anticipation, as if something were hovering just outside my view, waiting for me to acknowledge its existence. By October of 1996 - two years after my otherworldly experiences with Rasa - the sensation had become such a distraction that I began to search the literature for some kind of precedent.

My own encounters with the prophetic dreams suggested some as-yet unmapped properties of the mind might be at work, but I was still convinced that people who had authentic interactions with supernatural beings were the minority among a multitude of shysters and wishful thinkers who were simply giving names to their own psychological processes and calling them spirits. Was this ghost following me around some aspect of my psyche screaming to be heard, creating a larger-than-life disturbance to get my attention? Whether I was dealing with an internal or external force, I was reluctant to give way to its influence for fear of being possessed. The pressure was increasing daily, and I could easily imagine it taking over, devouring my identity if I opened the door and let it in.

The fear of losing control stemmed from a similarly disturbing shift in consciousness that occurred during my tempestuous first marriage. Shortly after that explosive protest to my spouse's insults, I was drawn into an affair out of grief, confusion and spite. My mind and morals suggested this was further proof of the gross character flaws I possessed, yet much to my own surprise, I found myself expanding rather than contracting under the weight of self-examination, and I was momentarily released from the spell of my husband's aggressive criticism. This was not a feeling of romantic love for a new man. The sensation stemmed from the sudden rush of empowerment I felt upon reclaiming my sexuality from the dominance games of my marriage. The person with whom I engaged in the affair had no claim of ownership over me. In that context, I was truly an equal. Perhaps more important, the act of stepping outside well-worn behaviour patterns and value systems had cracked open the veneer of ordinary perception. I felt blessed and protected; colours became intensely vivid; the features of everyday life seemed extraordinary. I wandered around for three days in a steadily increasing state of ecstasy, imagining I was filled with a lavender light that smelled like roses. My soul was in full bloom.

Continued in next post... I'm still typing.

I am not sure if I will be looking forward to transiting Neptune conjunct my Moon. It will amplify my Moon in Pisces which already squares my Neptune.

It could be a difficult period for me, especially when Neptune squares my Saturn-Neptune opposition, oppose my Saturn/Neptune midpoint. Even Neptune square my Neptune-Varuna opposition, oppose my Neptune/Varuna midpoint could even be even more difficult. They form t-squares with my Moon which squares those oppositions, oppose those midpoints.

quote:
Other people noticed it too. Complete strangers came up to me in stores and insisted on buying me gifts. Even my voice had a startling effect. I was working as a classical music radio announcer, and on the day the lavender rose reached the peak of its blooming, the studio phone rang off the hook during my shift. I took one call after another from fans I had never spoken to before who proceeded to tell me the most intimate details of their lives and ask me for advice. As if in a trance, I heard myself counseling them with a level of eloquence and insight I never could have fathomed in an ordinary state of mind. The experience was so exquisite and unsettling that I tried to capture its effect in a few lines from my journal that still convey the intensity of the experience for me.

It is ecstasy to fly again, surrounded by the warm lavender light of my first blooming. Strangers give me gifts in exchange for alien words and silent nourishment, for a strange luminosity that feels like the caress of a flower or the kiss of a pearl. I know this new landscape is too fragile to sustain a numinous garden.

Too soon it fades and shrivels, leaving fragrant memories. I gather the dried petals into a sacred place and wait for a future rejuvenation fertilized by all this sin and pain and refuse. Now that I've embraced the sky and set my house on fire, your swords will never pierce so deep again. I have tasted the rose. She may be sleeping in her bottomless grave but I can hear her dreaming, whispering my name in the night.

The glimpse of another reality continued to sustain me during the trying times ahead. It took me several years of struggle to finally break away from my first marriage, but the rose that bloomed inside gave me a profound sense of comfort. It also frightened me, shortly before the feeling subsided. I was tortured by a number of psychic dreams I refused to fully acknowledge. I saw the house I was to buy several years later when I moved to Arizona with my new husband. Of course, I had no idea this was anything more than wishful dreaming at the time. I hadn't even met Steve. I was simply impressed by the vividness of the image and the intense yearning I felt for a home I longed to return to, even though I had never seen it before.

It goes on in that way - I keep wanting to quote whole sections from the book, at different times, to different people.

I can see shades of Uranus and Pluto in there, but as I was reading, I just thought, "Neptune!" in the same way that I thought about Lilith in a previous part (her experiences with Rasa), and Sagittarius during the introduction.

Hi Glaucus.

I was hoping that my Neptune transits and Saturn/Pluto transits would balance each other out. This big transit worries me more than Uranus did, when it hit the same planets and aspects; for the most part, that was a great time for me, so I'm hoping for the same with Neptune. At the very least, I hope to sink back into art, the way I used to - that was how I grew up, and whilst I've stretched in other directions, I feel like a part of me has been missing.

I'll be back later.. I shouldn't still be sitting here, but I wanted to type that excerpt up whilst I could.

*edit. I'd forgotten about Neptune square Neptune. The sextile, when Neptune was in Aquarius (followed by the opposition to my Midheaven), happened at the same time as the Uranus transits, and I think were responsible for my feeling even more sensitive, like a sponge. I feel silly saying this now, but I felt as though I could literally feel someone's anger from the chair they preferred to sit it - things along those lines were happening to me. I had to crush the urge to rush back into the shower, to remove the feeling from my skin. I know it sounds crazy - it didn't feel good.

I don't follow transits cuz I am just trying to learn basic Astrology
I can tell you some good things about Neptune, though, and I think it will apply to transits, too.

Neptune can live in the world of fairy tales. I have had a hard life in some senses, emotionally, but I still have hope for beautiful things such as love, honor, respect, sweetness and kindness.

I have two strong Neptune trines--Neptune trine Sun and Neptune trine Mercury.
Neptune is in the 12th house.

Neptune helps you retain childlike faith and hope.
It allows you to go in to the next dimension with psychic things and creative things.

Neptune is beautiful and rosy.

Pluto is it's opposite ,in the sense , that it is Mr Reality.

Neptune would light the candles at the candlelight dinner and Pluto could clean up the dishes

Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend.

Unfortunately, I could see Pluto knocking over the candles with a casual "oops", then watching to see what you rush to gather that's most important to you. (If the fire isn't easily put out.) But I didn't wake up in such a hot mood.

This has started for me - the big pile-up on several planets/placements in my chart. so far, I'm having nice dreams (except for the odd spooky one), and am feeling more reclusive - I also have images in my head that want to be painted, but I'm really out of practice. Sadly, very much our of practice, when I never should have stopped painting in the first place.

I miss you, too!

I almost called you earlier, just to see how you were doing. I also almost opened up Facebook last night, but I don't need any more distractions - I'm finally experiencing a bit of calm, and am trying to ground myself/focus more on things offline, but I miss a lot of people.

I don't know how you accomplished as much as you did, with your back injury. I was hit with a back problem in January, that started out as a twinge, and had me barely able to move for a little while there - I felt like a total wuss. (Although I managed to walk around for about twenty minutes and carefully shower myself, before we went outside and buried Bert. I *really* needed the heating pad afterwards, and I'm still feeling twinges and having to be careful. My sister, on the other hand, injured her tailbone when she was a kid, and exercises, gets all kinds of things done. Tough Cappy that she is.

This would be interesting to know as its gonna be opposing my Moon, and trining the early part of my stellium.

I had Neptune transiting my 1st house for a really big chunk of my life and I don't think it was so bad, other than that I wasn't entirely aware of how I came off to others. Then again, what kid isn't? I've always had an overactive imagination, so we'll pretty much scratch that. And anyways, I was pretty much BORN with neptune opposing my cancer planets. Though I was too young to remember what happened when he was actually opposing my Sun. I think we moved from Canada to the States and things were different. =__=

Hmmm I just got finished with a Neptune trine Moon transit. It made me a lot more intune with the universe and gave me a lot more compassion for mankind.

Now that it's over, I'm back to my old grumpy self lol. But now I cut people more slack than I did before.
