I asked Lynda  to delete my previous thread because the info I posted there was not relevant, the researchers did not take into account the difference between each sign representative numbers so I found another reaseach that seems true: the correlation for the most and least represented signs was made also the fact that Sun does not enter each sign on a fixed date was taken into account in the study. So it seems accurate. The study was conducted in France. The results show that marriages between people born under the same Sun sign are the most numerous and marriages between people born under neighbouring signs are more numerous that it was expected. (which does not surprise me because Venus never goes away from Sun further than 45 degrees which gives a lot of chances for natives to have their Venus in the same Sun sign as their partners', or have the sextile aspect by sign between their Venuses or Venus and Sun)
Marriages between opposing signs turned out to be less numerous than it was expected. So number 1 preference for each sign is people born under the same Sun sign then it goes as follows: Listed in order of preference: Aries men: 2. Taurus
3. Pisces
4. Leo
5. Aqua
6. Gem
7. Sag
8. Virgo
10. Cap
11. Libra
12. Scorpio Aries women: 2. Pisces
3. Gemini
4. Capricorn
5. Sagittarius
6. Libra

Peri,I think you have a point. Just look at how often neighbouring signs appear. I mean who would expect a female Sag being a preferred choice for a male Scorpio?
Or a female Libra? Probably there will be other planets in neighbouring signs.
Also progressed positions may play a role, too. For example a Scorpio`s man`s Sun will have entered Sagittarius in his 20`s - 30`s. IP: Logged |

Actually... I would go for Sagittarius men first. Then Aquarius, then Leo, then possibly Capricorn and all the others are somewhere between 5 and 11  I certainly wouldn't go for a Gemini, for some odd reason they have some kind of fraternal feel to me, and I honestly think it's sick to start dating someone you think of as your brother. Well, maybe that's just me  ------------------

Since a platonic encounter at my restaurant job two years ago, I am not adverse to trying the same-sign coupling. In fact, I think I'd be much more satisfied if I did. The only reason I was against it in the past was because of nature of my relationship with my father, who is the same sign as me.
Taurus as #2 makes alot of sense for me too. I do find the Taurean influence males to be soooo yummy.
Aquarius and Capricorn was a little bit of a WTF for #3 and #4 though. Well it was alot of a WTF for Capricorn. Almost every male I've met under the sign of the goat has seriously irked me in the past. Aquas I just never really attract or become attracted to in RL. I expected to see Geminis higher on the list (especially based on your theory...hahaha). Oh well. IP: Logged |

Not to sure about Scorpios i'd like to compare scorpio women to "choke cherrys".
Make one mistake and cross a scorpio female and you'll pay for it.But, maybe i'm the only gem male to be cautious and there is more to it then that. ----------------------------------------

People I could see myself married to:
(I'm an Aries)2. Pisces - nope (sex - great, friendship - great, marriage - no)
3. Gemini - slight 'maybe' (if he has Taurus in his chart)
4. Capricorn - not really (but with a fire Moon I might re-consider)
5. Sagittarius - nope (I couldn't stand to be that person in their lives who trapped them and unwillingly dragged them to the altar)
6. Libra - possible (This is an easy one for me.. It would be a pleasant but slightly boring marriage)
7. Aqua - unlikely (Too much drama. We're both nuts)
8. Leo - possible (Also an easy match, but more entertaining than Libra)
9. Taurus - possible (There's something about Taurus lol)
10. Cancer - nope (ya.. no comment)
11. Scorpio - nope (I can't be the perfect girl for a scorpio guy - I'd have to have a complete personality change)

I'm a Pisces,
2. Taurus: yes if he had a good helping of Gemini in there, esp. for Venus.
3. Aquarius: yes if he had Mercury and/or Venus in Capricorn or Pisces.
4. Aries: no if he had Merc in Aries. No if he had Venus in Pisces/Aquarius, yes if he had Venus in Taurus/Gemini.I've dated seriously all 3 signs, engaged to a Taurus, I attract Aries men the most. Aquarius men are good if they don't have too much Aqua/Uranus in their charts.
But apparently our #1 sign is the same as our own, but have never been involved with or attracted a Pisces man. Aquarius and Aries the neighboring signs, yes, all over the place, but not a Pisces. IP: Logged |

I'm in the same boat as you, except I'd switch gemini with Leo. I can do gemini just fine, but I cannot stand Leo. I'd also add Libra to the list of **Will not date/marry**.

No Cancer I used to be marry to one for many years.
