HelloYesterday I met someone. He is from Israel from a town called Kfar Sava (Kfar Saba) but I can't enter the town on astro.com when I try to enter the info. Any ideas as to how I can generate his chart? IP: Logged |

The guy whose chart I am doing is a musician (he is under notable residents on the wiki link) and I have just recorded a song with him. He is very good. So talented. IP: Logged |

Sorry, guys but I don't know how to enter the coordinates, or where to enter them, to be precise. Help, please? I used the neighbouring town Beit Jann although it is off by one degree in longitude. IP: Logged |

Kfar Saba is close enough to Petah Tikwa (where I was born) that if you put in Petah Tikwa, it'll probably be close enough. It's a tiny country.IP: Logged |

when I changed mine from Tel Aviv to Petah Tiqwa, my ascendant changed from 22 Aqua 57 to 22 Aqua 48. I don't know, is that a major change? Tel Aviv, which is a major city, is also close. IP: Logged |

Thank HD!! Sigh of relief... It was a spelling thing... I guess the name changed. It's under Kefar Sava instead of Kfar Sava. Thanks again. Yay! IP: Logged |

Did you try spelling it as Kefar Sava with the letter "E"? That's how it comes up in my Professional Winstar software.IP: Logged |

** It's under Kefar Sava instead of Kfar Sava **well .. rekon the proper pronunciation is K'far .. although i guess it depends on the person speaking .. can't offhand remember how it's written .. i lived in ramat-gan for quite a while .. ~~~~~~ i think 'kfar' or 'kefar' comes from arabic .. ( not 100 prcnt sure ) ..

It looks so beautiful. It is hard to believe what CNN and the likes report, of all the unrest in this area. Did you stay there a long time ago or recently? Is it still unstable there? IP: Logged |

** Did you stay there a long time ago or recently? **last there in '83 .. *** Is it still unstable there? *** ( amrcn rhet jk deleted ;-) i'm in touch with folk there .. and .. yeah .. same old story .. unstable .. with breaks in-between for a breather .. ~~~~~~~ am going to re-check on this .. but i think the israeli national chart has mars square sun .. .. war is part of it .. was reading an astro seminar article .. yet to type up .. but .. the subject is venus-mars in the natal chart .. and the individual chart is that of a new yorker who joined the israeli army .. and the israeli chart was mentioned .. in essence .. venus-mars .. equals .. venus loves war .. ditto in personal relationships .. venus - mars needs a 'fight' now and again .. been thinking about that .. as .. i spent 7 yrs living with a venus-mars conjunct gal :-)) .. add in scorpio asc and leo sun for good measure .. Hey, thanks. I learnt a Hebrew word. Is "hello" "Shalom"? And how do I ask, "how are you?" IP: Logged |

Well, Unmoved, if you want to ask how someone is, there are a few ways:"Ma nishma ?" "Ma shlomcha ?" (to a male) "Ma ha'inyanim?" (more casual, like "What's happening?" "Ma chadash ?" ("what's new?") Shalom is the formal word for hello, goodbye, and peace. In modern yuppie Israel, hardly anybody uses it, though, to mean "hello". If you wanted to be hip, you'd say "Hi" or "A-lan" (which comes from the Arabic "a-ha-lan", but the Israelis shortened it a bit.) Glad I could be of some use on this board! IP: Logged |

like you have something stuck in your throat. Almost like the first letter of the Spanish name "Javier". That's the best I can do! It's a guttural language..IP: Logged |
