Weekly Weather October 18, 2010We have a two page week again ~ that means lots of activity, action and changes in the week ahead. We STILL, still have no fire in sky! All water and air with a touch of earth ~ just Pluto in earth. And no fire. NO FIRE in the sky.
So expect lots of feelings and emotions that swamp us with their fluid movement through our life. Lots of feelings about what we want or don’t want. Tears. Flow. Drama. Passions. Fluid. People returning from our past to remind us why we loved or don’t love them any more. Emotions, emotions, emotions!
We are still mucking about in the underworld as Venus in Scorpio continues her 100 days of Passion, Depth, Transformation and Desire.

Now Scorpios do have a bad rap at times. At the same time, their stories are incredibly transformative. There are inspiring stories in the news right now. We just have to look a bit to find them.
We are still down deep in the darkness of Mother Earth for 12 more weeks, even as the Miners in Chili were released after their 69 days under ground. Watching each miner travel through a symbolic birth canal in their metal can, twisting and turning through the vagina of Mom Earth was a profound experience. The Miners were a symbolic representation of our current journey. They were released from captivity last week ~ born again with each emerging miner‘s new “birth time” recorded. We are each in the process of giving birth to our next self. Part of reason for the profound emotions of the past few weeks are to help you birth that new part of your being that wants to come alive. Give it room to dance and shout.
The other positive Scorpio story rolling through the news is the “It Gets Better Project” started by Dan Savage in answer to the large wake of teen suicides due to gay teasing. Dan and his partner Terry kicked it off with their own video ~ speaking directly to teens being teased ~ that it gets better ~ hold on past high school. Scorpio rules sexuality. I’ve been watching the videos and crying my eyes out. My gay younger brother tried to kill himself in high school. His good friend Dave DID kill himself. The fire folks and planets have the roughest times with all these watery and underworld energies ~ Aries, Leo and Sagittarius people and planets are quite beside themselves ~ not knowing what to do. There is nothing in the heavens to set off a spark, ignite a flash, or feed their flare of fire some dry wood or kindle to burn. With no fire, there is a lack of vision ~ no light of the flame so we don’t see clearly. Just the depth and dark energy of Scorpio’s watery feelings
Instead we feel. Emotions are water ruled. We FEEL!
Emotions make us EMOTE! We display exaggerated emotions. Emote means we make an exaggerated show of emotions, such as in the playing of a dramatic part. We are always the stars of our own lives. But right now our own life is not enough for us. This week we’ll want to be the stars of the OTHER person’s life as well. Watch out for triangles and bleed over and seepage into the dramas of the other guy or gal‘s life.
Mars is particularly JUICY and active. Now Mars can go up or down, in a heart beat, good or bad. He has harsh aspects and easy aspects. He’s in a favorite sign of his ~ Scorpio ~ and virtually every planet in the sky is answering to his orders. He’s the general in charge of the heavens this week and next! That makes the week particularly FABULOUS for accomplishing great things. That makes the week BEYOND a doubt able to completely bring you to your knees, begging for Mercy. In fact, you can do BOTH in the same week, in a span of a couple of days.
Mars makes it a week where you can drive your car into a wall totaling it, climb Mount Everest, slip off a glacier into an mile deep trench, move faster than a speeding bullet, be more powerful than a locomotive and able to leap tall buildings with a single bound but able to be conquered by a tiny rock. It is a Superman week~ leap across or conquer your worst habits or fears. Direct that enormous laser beam of energy ~ virtually all the planets are reporting into Mars for guidance and instructions ~ into creating what you want. POSITIVE VERSIONS PLEASE!
Mars is at the late degrees of Scorpio so he begins and ends the week with easy flowing aspects to Jupiter and Uranus, pushing his creativity and drive out into the world to create. The middle part of the week is a bit more problematic ~ squares to Neptune and Chiron with a semi-square to Saturn. Discouragement and despair~ disillusionment. BUT, BUT, BUT ~ now that you SEE it clearly, you can actually DO something about it. Direct and focus that Mars energy on and toward what you can actually accomplish!
Mercury is moving fast this week. He aspects the late degree planets ~ easy in the case of Neptune and Chiron and difficult but good if you live in the moment with Uranus. The air energy will talk to us as it wakes up our wounds and allowing us to see them in a new way. Then Mercury dives into the wordless, dark waters of Scorpio from relationship, detached, partner based Libra on Wednesday. Moving into Scorpio, Mercury aspects Pluto, Ceres and the North Node. We are going to be wrestling with our mother issues this week after we first figure out what they are! We close the week figuring out a new chapter or aspect of our patterns. Wee- haw! Consciousness.
Sun also changes signs this week, entering the passionate and paranoid sign of Scorpio. Sun is following closely on Mercury’s heels. Mercury does his aspects a day or two before the Sun does the same aspects~ so you hear it, think it, idea it and then right behind that is voila, the illumination, inspiration, or new ideas ~ the light of the Sun brightens and helps you work with the information Mercury delivers. Sun dives into Scorpio on Saturn’s day and continues to illuminate Mercury’s journey next week.
There is a Full Moon at 29 Aries late Friday night ~ setting off all the planets at the late degrees. Think back to April 20, 2009 to see the story culminating now. You’ll see it clearly. Moon in Aries and Sun in Libra both answer to Mars in Scorpio so this is a VERY, VERY emotional Full Moon. We will clear all sorts of stagnant energy out of our systems and lives. Rocking!

Moon’s day, October 18 Monday Moon in Pisces has a lovely closing aspect of a conjunction to Uranus offering a great launching day today and Tuesday. In the heavens you can see an almost full moon next to the bright, shining Jupiter. Emotional abundance springs in your heart. Partnering with your fate moves forward to hold your hand. Mercury sings with Neptune as he gets ready ~ does he hear a knock? Is that a REAL knock? Or is it false hope ~ just the cracking of mom earth? Quick ~ be still my heart it looks like it might be salvation. Lots of energy today about chaos and craziness. And wounding words. Sometimes very wounding words are part of the story of healing. Mercury has to get used to endings today. Every thing ends. That is the message of Scorpio. Even the dark night ends. Sure we will have other dark nights but we know they will end too. This dark night will end soon. Keep digging into your soul’s message. You have to be silent to hear your heart speak. Quiet, quiet ~ listen to your heart.
Mars’ day ~ Tuesday October 19 Moon in Pisces swells the feelings. Sun dancing with Neptune inspires us (or depresses us) to move toward the vision we had, the hope we had, the dream we had, the thoughts we had. I say it day in and day out ~ if it is in your heart, it is in your chart. Your chart is designed to test your “rational” belief in your soul‘s vision for you and this life. Can you trust the process? Will you surrender to the idea that if you want something THEN you are supposed to move toward it, find it, commit to it, create it, or partner with it? Mercury’s aspect to Uranus suggests you don’t QUITE believe that could be possible. Live in the moment until you get clear on what you want to do. Sun has lovely aspects today about believing in the process and trusting that if you do the work and show up, it works. If you work on your dream, it shows up. It takes the intention and the focus to get it to happen. Today summon up the intention and the focus. You might have to agree to end something to get where you want to go and if that is the case, do end it today. Pluto joins with Ceres ~ normally mortal enemies, this sibling pair join today to start a new cycle of creation. Give yourself permission to move toward your dream. There is magic afoot.
Mercury’s day, Wednesday October 20 Moon is in Aries for the next few days culminating with a Hunter’s Full Moon of a separating aspect. It is a great few days to separate from things you no longer want or need in your life. Recycle them as your Trash can become someone else’s Treasures. Mercury enters Scorpio and becomes silent and observant. He expresses through song, music, dance, movements and deep, heart beating silence. We feel more passionate than words can express. We release the old from our lives today. Scorpio asks us to delve into and look at the emotional areas of our lives with a fresh vigor. We can clear amazing things out of our psyche and body today as we get a burst of energy and vision from the Moon in a fire sign, however brief it is. We have to adjust to the shifts taking place in our being. Today is a day to live in the present and not worry about what you can’t control. Mars trines Jupiter at the end of the day offering a revelation of hope.
Jupiter’s day, Thursday October 21 Moon in Aries finds us awaking with a stress from active dreams. Tempers can flare as Moon in Fire pushes us towards the light and illumination. Why can’t THEY see it the way we do? Mercury’s supportive conversation with Hades, Lord of the Underworld, allows us to dig deeper into the hidden places. Again we have an opportunity to see our hidden and hardened patterns so we can move towards freedom and creation. You will have a brilliant idea that you absolutely have to act on today. Give yourself permission to move toward it. Mars is asking you to work with him to move your life forward. You can stay where you are or you can move. Today the stress of staying where you are can feel simply unbearable. Take that brilliant idea or the project that seems stalled and move on it. Act on it. With just a tiny push, it will float away easily from where it was previously stuck. It was only grounded to help you get clear. Now that the tide is starting to come back in, you can move again. Believe. Push at your stuck project a bit. It is time to move toward your new tribe or group or life. You can separate from your old life today.
Venus’ day, Friday October 22 Moon in Aries culminates in a Full Moon that answers to Mars in Scorpio as the Sun answers to Venus in Scorpio. Called the Hunter’s Moon, it takes place after the bulk of the crops are in from the fields and before the first snow falls. The Hunters go off into the woods to find meat from the summer’s well fed and fattened animals. Mars’ square to Neptune pushes at you to take actions or steps to solidify your dream from March 2009. The Full Moon ripens the story from March of 2009 today so you can clearly see it. Mercury suggests you will find what you hunt for today as he cooperates with Pluto and moves towards completing his cycle of transformative thought. In the late afternoon, you can have a fight with very harsh words as Mars squares Chiron. It will bring up strong emotions in your being. Mercury has a gift of change and transformation with Uranus ~ again another brilliant plan or idea. Follow up on it. Focus on cleanliness as the concept of Hygeia expands rapidly into the collective.
Saturn’s day, October 23 Moon in Taurus finds us grounded and seeing clearly and creatively as Mars moves towards his trine to Uranus tomorrow. If you find yourself wanting to take unexpected actions, give yourself permission to go for it. Mars is at his most powerful right now and has every planet in the heaven’s listening to his wise counsel. Use his energy very productively today to power through tasks and get great things accomplished. Mercury works with the Node to connect you to what you need to accomplish your tasks and perhaps even introduces you to a person who inspires the next steps. Sun enters Scorpio, deepening and intensifying our journey into the death of the current growing season and prepares us for the rebirth of the next cycle of life. Venus joins with Vesta offering us a new vision of our home and hearth. We arrange or rearrange our world and world view today to start to expand again. Yes, Venus is still going backwards but we are starting to feel the expansion energy take root in our soul. Trips to the darkness often help us appreciate our lighter spaces.
Sun’s day, October 24 Moon in Taurus is frisky with Mars moving to perfect his trine to Uranus making focused actions very easy to take. It is a day when you can accomplish quite a bit. You’ll find you have unexpected bursts of energy or bizarre experiences that invite you to jump in and say yes. Leap out of bed. Jump into your shoes. Dance. Today is a day when it will feel like things are zooming along and you are in the flow ~ connected with the cosmos and creating. Again, there can be endings as the closing supportive energy of Mercury announces the end of things. Partnerships can feel particularly dreamy and inspired. Give yourself permission to create. Nurture the large volume of thoughts and ideas that seem to flow out of your being. Ceres on the Node of Destiny makes this a day you find out you are pregnant ~ with a child, with a book, with a business, with a relationship, with a creative venture or with a possibility that will grow into something very special. Or you can meet the person you will have those experiences with. Take any annoyance you have and channel it constructively. Focus that Mars energy of yours on what you want to accomplish. Moon’s emotions laugh with Jupiter’s abundance providing happy times in the evening.
