Hello, I'm new here!

How do know whether a planet is strong or weak in a natal chart?

Are certian planets strong in certain houses?

All so, Is venus strong in the 11th house?

It depends on if a planet is exalted or not. And what house it's in.

I have jupiter exalted in my chart. Have Venus in Libra in the 7th house, guess that would mean venus is strong too.

Also, about the dominating planet thing, that's a great question.

I have Venus in 7th in Pisces, which I think has a great influence on my chart. But, still I'm not sure how to determine my "Chart Ruler".

Chart ruler is the ruler of your ascendant.

Venus has nothing to do with the 11th house so it would not be strong just because of that aspect. Venus is the natural ruler of the 7th and 2nd houses so it would be strong in those.

Venus is exalted in Pisces, but I don't think it would be exalted in the 12th.

I would of thought Venus would be quite strong in the 11th house because they're very similar, the 11th house being about friends etc. and Venus being about Social-ness etc.?

Some indicators for strength, general weakness would be an absence of these,
-in the sign it rules
-in the house it naturally rules
-conjunct, square, opposed, or trine to the Sun, Moon, Asc (esp a trine from the 5th to the Asc) or Mc, the closer the orb the stronger the aspect
-in an angular house 1,4,7,10
-the most aspected planet
-exalted by sign or the corresponding house
-the chart ruler
-conj or trine the NN
The more that apply the more influential it will be.
