I can't find the 4th house thread, that Ami started; I was reminded of it after I'd walked into my mother's bedroom, found all of the surfaces cleared off, and asked her what was going on, because it looked as though she was getting ready to move.

She told me that it was only cleared out, so that she could wash the walls, before painting them. She thought I was concerned, but the sight was oddly comforting.

I have Uranus conjunct my ascendant, ruling my 4th house.

I didn't want to start my own thread, but I can't find the thread I mentioned above, or another recent one about moving. Now that it is it's own thread, I'm curious as to who else might have felt the same thing, when seeing a mostly empty room (despite your feeling mostly okay where you live, not desperate to get out), and any aspects that might be attributed to that. Uranus aspects more than my ascendant: it also aspects my Moon, Venus, Nodes, Mars and Ceres/Chiron/Sun from my 12th. Racole was one of the people who came to mind as I started to write this - living up to the Saggie reputation.

I can't find the thread either.

But I can totally relate!!! I have always enjoyed the remote, removed quality of hotel rooms (does that apply at all?) and empty rooms...something very soothing about walking into a place where there is no history, no past and no future yet
It's like a clear conscience.
It might be my 4th house ruler (Moon) and Chiron opposing Uranus. Who knows lol

I love apartment/house hunting. I constantly browse craigslist for available apartments, even though I'm not supposed to move until next August.

My 4th house ruler is Mercury retrograde in Aqua in my 9th (wide sextile to Saturn/Uranus).

I've moved alot in my life (Aries 4th house/Mars Square Uranus), but it's usually been against my own will...haha. I have a Cancer Sun and an earth moon, so I'm not as receptive to that kind of change as one would assume.

Except maybe now since I hate the town I currently live in...LOL. But I guess what is really relevant to this topic is that I like the feeling of being settled (having my *stuff* in place) better than not having my feet on the ground. I still don't feel settled here even after 2 years because I cannot stand the people or the culture of this place.

I love moving!
I'm off again this weekend actually (46th time!)
I hate staying in the same place and have been known to move next door just for a change (don't worry the house was vacant, I didn't just turn up at the neighbours!)

2 years is about 18 months too long for me anywhere. I always start getting itchy feet after a few months even though the places are lovely.
I love opening a new front door....sigh

Heh, Bunnies I'm the same way. 2 years is my limit, always has been. What is up with that? I was reading somewhere that a 12th house moon is also about up and moving a lot, which makes sense and explains even further my constant desire to be on the move. I love having a place somewhere to return to and completely disappear from the world and I must say my family's guest house in a rural area is another great place to return to. It's kind of sparsely furnished and all by itself on an acre, overlooking a pond and has a great view of the stars....AAHHHHHHHHHHHHH, so wonderful to have a little retreat from the madness of moving

Awesome thread.

I actually love moving... I've moved 3 times in the past 3 years. I love starting over. It's a great way to get rid of stagnant energy or things that are holding you back.

I also enjoy having lots of empty space in my home. In my current apartment I don't even have a couch in the living room. It's very open and fresh with huge windows. People often ask me if my place is a dance studio, haha. I love being able to move freely with nothing in the way

My 4th house has a Venus-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio. So lots of transformation (pluto) going on in my home environment.
