When Jupiter transited my 1st, I started a tertiary course that I'm still doing. I also put on weight . Which was not too horrible and has helped to reorient my view of myself in terms of self acceptance - this theme continued through the second hse but as Jupiter is about to gear up for a blast into the 3rd house in the next few months I find I have lost most of the weight without drama and feel less inclined to stuff myself.

As ruler of my 11th, my connection to groups, alliances, associations, and my long term goals etc broadened and my life opened up a lot more with opportunity, vision, and incorporated a motivation to do good in the world etc - through the 1st hse transit.

I started to realize again one of my old wishes to work with the Mother Theresa stuff in India, and I thought I might work with the voluntary organisations that do stuff in Tibet, South America, Africa, and also want to do some remote work in the aboriginal communities in Australia.

My natal Jup is in cancer in the 6th so as you can see, nursing suits the hallmarks of that and I have only one year to go of a three year course.

Through the second house, my finances eased despite full time study. I had enough, via work, govt tertiary bonuses etc, to see me through comfortably - things seemed to be covered without duress despite some surprise outlays, and some unexpected pluses (Uranus transit also in 2nd).

I've always been a foodie, but with Jupiter in my 1st (still there, it's been months since I noticed it) I have not been able to stop eating. The food I've consumed is unbelievable. The longest my dieting has lasted during this period is 4 days and then I lose it to a frenzied pie-hole stuffing episode. I have had to buy all new suits for work, all new casual clothes. I haven't noticed any particular strokes of luck, but nothing bad has happened either.

Well, I never ever even contemplated nursing until I did some voluntary work at a retirement village and they asked me to work there, then after that I became an aged care nurse. So I am sort of stumbling on the profession but have realized it suits me despite my reservations.

I really wanted to be a librarian, teacher, secretary or a detective or something (Ha!) but they just didn't seem right.

Even though I never contemplated nursing as such, I did like the idea of naturopathy or of doing like I mentioned, working with Nuns or something with orphans ( (Jupiter in Water Grand Trine with Saturn in Pisces, and Neptune conjunct south node in Scorpio 10th).

Howeverrr...there is a side to me that says 'what the hell - what do you want to do all that yawn for' ('Unaspected' Mars in Leo 'do something fun and glamourous').

Nursing is kind of like playing to me, Moon in 5th, ruling 6th with Cancer, quincunx midheaven. I kind of think of the oldies as just like big dolls, that can talk back!(Moon in Gemini), and oh, wrinkly with false teeth as well. And you get to feed them, and patch them up - wow, its like christmas, haha - lame huh, teehee.

And when you get to do other nursy stuff like drips, drains, wounds, injections, surgery etc (Pluto/Ura conjunct Sun in 8th, ruling midheaven and opposing Chiron/Saturn in Pisces), yeah its sort of fun and meaningful too.

There now, have I made you want to chuck?
