Topic: Scorpios..... do you tend to make friends with eccentric/weird/quirky people?

Hi all, I'm new here  Nice to find this place! Now I recently got a book called Nasty Astrology. Obviously it's a jokey book, but I must admit there's some truth to this bit about Scorpio for me: "Scorpio is a magnet for weak and unstable people. They collect weirdos, oddballs, wackoes and loonies - anyone they can control, torture, inflict pain on and generally abuse" Now I definitely don't like to torture or abuse my friends (the book is obviously exaggerated for comic purposes!) but I do tend to gravitate to people who are often shunned by others because they're unusual, keep themselves to themselves or say the wrong things etc... Often people will say "you're friends with so-and-so, I think he's a bit strange" and I'll say "they're nice and open up more once you get to know them" I'll admit their might be a slight power aspect to it, as it's nice to be the most well rounded in my social group for once and not feeling like the outsider as I would with more conventional types! But I do love my friends dearly. To be honest when people are too ordinary and well rounded I just find them boring and I don't know what to say to them...  Guess I find "weird" people who don't just follow the crowds more interesting, deeper and amusing in general. And they like me because I gave them the time of day and don't just judge them because they're maybe not as extroverted as most. Even as a child (under 10) I would make friends with the loners even though I had the social skills to befriend the cooler kids. Again the popular kids were just dull and uninteresting to me. Are other Scorpio's the same? If it's of any relevance I also have LOADS of Sagittarius in my chart. IP: Logged |

Scorpios swarm around me like flies around, well you know. They tell me how unusual and random i am and always try to pick my damn brains. Which i dont mind. Scorpio's are my favorite people.
Im not a Scorpio but ive met a fare number and they say how odd and unique i am. Which i like  hugs from a pisces. ps, welcome! x IP: Logged |

Maybe its my 12th house planets or my neptune aspects that made me unaware of what i was doing, because to my mind i was not doing any of those things. Scorpio usually have a secret motivation that spurs them into doing things, you would need to know that persons motive. IP: Logged |

My ASC ruler is at 0 Scorpio and I've been friends with a lot of "weirdos" or people I have otherwise had to defend somehow in front of others because for whatever reason they come off strangely to others. I also have a strong Uranus so that might be a part of it. But I don't think I'm interested in these people because I want to manipulate them. I'm interested in them because I have a deep respect and sympathy for people who (like myself) get their strength from an inner source and do not rely on others' approval or disapproval to form who they are, how they think of themselves, etc. IP: Logged |

Actually come to think of it that's probably part of the reason some of my friends are considered "weird" by more attention seeking types. Some people just think others are unworthy or strange because they don't kiss their arse all the time, even if they're perfectly civil and nice. I like people who don't pretend to like people when they don't. They're more real to me. IP: Logged |
