What is the difference between these two texts written by Shakti Gawain?:

The Creative Visualization Workbook: Second Edition (142 pages)

Creative Visualization: Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Your Life (192 pages)

Does the workbook help with the second book?
Is it something that you write in, compared to the other one, that you just read?

Usually when a self-help type of book like Shakti Gawain's "Creative Visualization" is mega-successful, the author is encouraged by the publishing company to write another book to keep the momentum going so the author will put out a second book looking at the exact same subject but from a different perspective. That different angle can be a workbook, even though she/he already included exercises in the first book or they will put out another book focusing on one particular step of the entire process. The reason this is done is in order to keep pulling in revenue for the author and their specialty subject, they have to keep up the brand.

I really enjoyed Shakti Gawain's "Creative Visualization" the original book and I looked through the other books and workbooks and decided that I didn't need, I already caught onto the technique the first time. I don't want to say that these other books are not useful, because they really can be a great help in motivating you to continue with the process once the initial big bang of it begins to subside.

If you feel you want more of her energy behind the subject of visualization, then I would recommend buying the book, just be prepared to realize that you have possibly paid just to reinforce the same techniques and principles you learned in the first book. It's a matter of personal choice.

Ahh, thank you.

Well, I bought the workbook instead of the original. I would have preferred the original. I think "second edition" is what sold me because I was recently hunting for a particular edition of an anthology that was out of print (it was the third edition & the only one out of print).

I'm willing to bet that you'll get the exact same information from the workbook. Not only that, all you need to know is that your thoughts broadcast your desires and create them on the mental plane instantly and all you do let go of the thought and it manifest's physically at some point in time.

Thoughts are things, thoughts are magnetic, like attracts like, everything you seek is seeking you, just keep a positive outlook.

There, I've told you almost everything in the book.

Don't worry, you'll get it, do the exercises and watch your life change for the better.

I recently bought a book that was a follow-up to one my mother bought eight years ago. It's okay for a little inspiration when you need to remember to be positive, take small steps, etc, but the original was better.

The one thing that sold me on it, though, was her saying that you should allow yourself to feel the negativity - don't try to fight that. her relationship of seven years finished whilst she was writing the book, and she said there was no way that she was going to be feeling good (she wrote that she thinks she manifested that - I'm still on the fence with this stuff, but I have had things happen when I've not worried too much about them - typical.)

I agree. There is a reality factor in there. What I tell people is that you're going to feel the negativity and anger and stuff, I just pretend I'm positive, even if I can only get a 1% positivity reading. So, yes, I agree with her on that one.
