So if a SR chart is basically a natal chart for a particular year (correct me if I'm wrong), then could it be karmic as well, possibly bringing in people and events from past lives? If so, could you explain your views/knowledge on it?

I'm new to SR charts.

I don't think a solar return chart determines past events or people coming into your life from the past.

It is a chart which represents the energies at work for the next 1 year.

A solar return chart gives you the issues of the house that Leo is on in your natal. Just like a Saturn return gives the issues of the house that Capricorn is on in your natal.

Which is the reason it makes sense to check your ASC-ruler return chart.

For karmic scenarios I would probably look out for 12th house ruler return (if you insist on checking return charts, that is).

So then, Coffee, would a Venus Return would focus more on the houses that Libra and Taurus rule?

And, what exactly DOES the Asc of the return chart tell you about the year?
