Saturn is exactly on my ASC right now, and what I feel is intense separation pains. The end of something I never wanted to see the end of. What is ironic is that Saturn is also trining my Venus.

But I still feel sad and just sad...

So no, Saturn is not good. To me.

Maybe because Venus is currently Rx, it's making things like this since Libra is ruled by Venus.

I wonder what the opposite placement would feel like? Saturn conjunct the DC and opposed the AC...

If it would feel like intense seperation from identity and freedom?

I think Saturn on the DSC would destroy a marriage.

Nah... Saturn on the DSC can make someone serious about commitment. Depends.

No.

I'm telling you Saturn is not Good. From experience I'm telling u. He is even trining my Venus and he is still causing separation and pain.

Saturn has been back and forth in opposition with my Venus and I haven't had any real trauma involving relationships.

Have you looked at any other planets?

Well there you go. Saturn on the ASC does have the tendency to make one depressed, but I don't think Saturn on the DSC would destroy a marriage, per se. It can compel someone to get married (of course, since it's Saturn, it's more of a "I NEED TO SETTLE DOWN NOW" type of feeling more than a "OMG YAY MARRIAGE!" feeling).

Saturn trining a planet is not always good. It can often be bad. The trine just magnifies the energy, and with saturn it can be bad. A lot depends on your other transits happening with the trine.

I really miss the good ol' days when I thought trines were always good.

I think Saturn on the DC pushes you to be very serious about a relationship either way...if it's not right, the transit gives you the push to move on. If it's strong, the transit strengthens the commitment.

Boy, I used to defend Saturn. But, ugh, right now I am miserable again, about things I thought I was done working out, and Saturn transits feel like part of the problem. Maybe if I could learn to work with them in a more constructive way...but right now I just feel beaten up (Pluto) and punished/deprived (Saturn.)

I feel exactly this, too, and tSaturn is not on my ASC...so maybe the feeling is from the Venus Rx, and we will feel intense and happy connection with things we want to be connected to when it makes its direct journey. I can only hope.

My Saturn return was also Saturn on my DC, sort of...my DC-Moon-Saturn are loosely conjunct.

I enjoyed my Saturn Return, it gave me lots of powerful energy to make really good, important changes.

I hate whatever's going on NOW.

I got married when Saturn was separating from my asc and started opposing my first house planet. It didnt last, but would hardly say a single transit would destroy a relationship. I've seen my happily married parents live through that transit and nothing happened to threaten their marriage. You cant account for all relationships out there, but I think we can say it's probably a pretty 'felt' transit.

What Saturn CAN do though and often does is make you look at a relationship which is unstable and not in a good place start to break apart, because there's no pretending with this transit. If the thing is on its last leg, then Saturn would get the job done. for better or worse.

Its important to keep in mind that if it's relationship stuff, TWO people are involved and BOTH their transits will need to be looked at, I think.

^ Yes Saturn is on his Sun too. It's on one of our most significant synastry contacts. But the transit just started, don't we have a couple more years to go?

A couple of years to go 'til what ?? I don't know what you mean.

FYI, I filed for divorce when Saturn conj my Sun but I also almost got remarried almost immediately... I also started thinking about having kids. This is all very 5th house oriented stuff. It was nothing short of hell but the transit made me buckle down and refuse UNhappiness in my life. It said, You're not happy in this marriage, so divorce. I guess another way of looking at it is that it 'broke up my marriage', but how could Saturn have broken something which was already broken? It didn't because the thing was a wreck before.

A lot of my love life too was reflected not in my transits alone but in my solar arcs. The Saturn stuff was pointing to a lot of personal choices I had to make and since my sun is in the 5th house, a lot of the issues were romantic and I was very serious about my romantic life.

Saturn = Serious Choices, but it won't make the choices for you, it will just loudly broadcast your progress and will make you think carefully. The choices you make though, are yours, not Saturn's!

So if the relationship is going well, you'll find yourself getting more serious about wanting to taking the next step. If it's not going well and there have been problems on both ends, then it will become reflected that there are problems and the problems will be magnified.

What house is his sun in? What planet rules your rising sign?
what do your Solar Arcs look like?

It sounds like a tough time for relationships for a lot of people as well, esp with Venus rx btw. Will lighten up and get better afterward I am sure.

I have a Libra ASC and his Solar Arc Venus and Mars are roughly on his Sun so Saturn is transiting these.

His Asc is at 3 Taurus so Venus Rx is a funny thing for him. And me.

Yeah I am Taurus rising too at about 5 degrees. Venus rx moving thru the 7th (along with a load of other planets is kicking our a$$es right now.

Just past relationship garbage and sifting thru it. It's affecting my relationship now since my own issues are coming up so I have to kind of do some weird grieving and letting go again even though I thought I was done with that LOL

Plus a lot of annoying little health issues. My dad is a Scorp rising and he's had a ton of health issues but its been going on for years. Still I think he's been getting pummeled esp since Saturn has been in his 12th with the cancer treatments.

I'm also having Saturn sq saturn and Pluto square Pluto and Saturn conj Pluto one way, Pluto oppose Saturn another in transit.

OMGosh my IC is at 13 Capricorn and my Moon is at 8 Capricorn. I don't even want to think about the kind of deaths that will happen when Pluto visits there.

So MVM, you go for Venus/Pluto relationships?

Oh and I said a couple more years to go because Saturn will go retrograde and come back to this degree its at today. Taking 2 1/2 years to go through Libra.
