Hi Teasel!

Oh, I hear ya about the walks. Rocky goes bonkers and he is so strong (almost 80lbs and is of the English Lab persuasion LOL) that when he pulled the leash it cut into my hand (I was holding it wrong). He will sit on command- which is almost always in German although he also responds to me when I ask for kisses in Spanish LOL. Bear thinks I'm nuts but I learned most command in German plus living in Germany and going on walks with a German dog trainer kind of reinforced that.

Our Leo cat is pretty affectionate but that wasn't always the case. He and I hated each other, no- he did't care for me, and I took him back to the ER hospital where I was a tech. He was so stubborn that they couldn't even draw blood from him for testing and after a few days we had a "talk" and I took him back in. That was 14 years ago and he and he's my Mr. Woobie.

Hi Lara:

I will try and take a look at the charts tomorrow. First thing that strikes me is all of the air in the little guys chart. I wouldn't worry about the age of 11 weeks. I don't necessarily subscribe to the theory of a puppy having to go to its home at 7-8 weeks. Additional socialization with mom and littermates teaches a dog its place in the hierarchy. If a puppy goes to its home before mom and littermates have reinforced "bite inhibition" and "submission" to authority, there can be more socialization problems than a puppy going at eleven weeks. Also, with all of the air, this fella will be able to adapt quite nicely.

I will talk to you again after I've had a chance to look at the charts.

Pam

Thank you so much

Just so you know, between 10am and 4pm the moon moved from 4 - 7' gemini (not much!)

and in the same timeframe, the AC moved from 17' libra to 23' sagittarius so he could be libra, scorpio or sagittarius AC.

Hi Lara:

I think all the air in this fellas chart will fill a missing link in your chart. He should be real adaptable.

Have you looked at the draconic chart? I have often had many links with my dogs to my draconic chart. An animal psychic once told me that two of my dogs were soul mates who had been with me in several lifetimes. My Scorpio stellium becomes Aquarius in the draconic chart and you could see the "soul" aspects there.

I am picking him up on Thursday morning! So excited!!
I am nervous about introducing my ***** Staffy to him though as l wish to minimise jealousy and my Staffy has had the monopoly of my kids attention for 18 months! I wonder if l should introduce them on neutral ground? Then again l think my Staffy would be very motherly toward the pup

Thank you for your kindness. I agree about the air. I will post some photos once l get him home and settled, for you to see.

Your question should be 'does he need me', but being earth you're subconciously leaning towards 'what will i get from this'.

Actually I know a person who thinks their pet border collie is there as something they can use to better their self-esteem and they lack earth completely.

I have 4 planets in earth and I think - getting a dog is like having a child. You have to think about his own life and whether you can provide everything he needs to be happy.

ROFL...wow, what a thread. I just looked on here
Lara, I am not a dog person - wish i could help! I love dogs but was raised and always had cats (about 10-15 in the family household most of the time. Hey, we're Egyptian and we like our cats lol)...I have always gotten along with fire cats but I wish I knew all their charts!

Peri....yay for the Virgo/Aries pooch! Yes, I am like that dog and have no prblem admitting it

I wish I knew the exact birth time of my familiar, Miso Soup (my cat). All I got was her birth day. She's a Leo sun and I adore her, though she drove me nuts and for the time being she lives on my parent's 5 acre property since I can't have a cat outdoors and she needs her FREEDOM. But she visits me in dreams sometimes

Betty,
Yeah, it's truly scary how many dog owners are followers and their dogs lead them. It's so unhealthy for the poor dogs too

MVM, cool! Your cat Miso sounds really sweet and i'm glad you are a responsible owner

just to put a little dog reality in here, i had a dog many years ago (city dwelling etc have prevented it since). my BF of the time - live-in - took one of her littermates so we had two in the house at the same time, and they were born in the house we lived in so we knew them from birth (and picked them out at birth too!).

just to point out that dogs are born in batches, and these two were minutes apart, but could not have been more different if they had come from different planets. both were sweet natured, but one was black and about 60 pounds when grown, and as stupid as he was sweet. and HYPER. mine was the runt, and her breeding showed in her coat, which was a medley of everything from white through buff, gold, red, brown and black. she was much like an undersized aussie shepherd...in fact that same ex BF now has a dog who looks just like her! and is a purebred aussie. this litter were born of a golden retriever mother and a black lab/wolf/something else father.

dog 2, the multicolour, was hyper very seldom, extremely smart (i only had to teach her anything once and it stuck) but never learned to live happily indoors.

so i wouldn't say that astrology is QUITE as telling with dogs...i never did the chart for this litter and can't even remember what month they were born, but they were VERY different in pretty much every way from each other and as i said, born minutes apart.

and i am heartily sick of people going on about what element/chart is BETTER. no such formula..

His temperament is really fab

Katatonic,
I will! My kids will all help out to keep higher up in the pack than him! Kids and dogs are such great pals...
such a joy to watch them interact.
