Sun in the Sagittarius 1st house (with Stellium too).

i've travelled through my whole life, still trying to figure out my identity.

my partner's Sun in Virgo 8th house (again with Stellium). he's come in terms with his dark side and his traumatising life experience.

My Sun is in 11th. I shine in my friendships and my friends make me shine. Everything I've ever experienced was supported or instigated by my friends. My friend is my manager. My financial sponsor (because I'm an independent artist) is a friend. My producer is a friend. My director for visual projects is my friend. My team members were my friends first then they became collaborators in my work.

Maybe it's a Venus thing because Venus is also in the 11th.

Kevin's sun is in the 12th with pluto and merc.

He's so much better at sussing out motives than I am.

I trot along in my happy clip clop way, and get broadsided more than I can tell you....

@Lara, sounds like a cute lil peeper

My sun is in my third house.

I am very good at traveling; I've hitchhiked and ridden freight across the country for a couple of years (just now ending that cycle of my life).

My gift is in communicating ideas, especially when drunk or stoned. :-P I very strongly feel the need to get ideas across to people, and I go to great pains to make my point, overcoming my own personal fears in order to touch upon others' fears so that they can overcome them.

I'm good at writing essays, and the occasional story when I feel inspired.

Communication, travel, and I'm a HUGE SPAZZ!!! Lots of excited energy. yeah.

My sun is Virgo in the 8th in a stellium spanning 5 degrees that includes Uranus, Pluto, and Mercury.

It seems I shine in debate - I wouldn't have chosen that myself but there you have it.

ah ha, well maybe something valid to sun in 8th then, actually you can see the similarities with the normal connotations of the house too, lols (I've been saying lol a lot today, its so easy for encompassing a range of disposition with a humourous feel - I'm in to taking the path of least resistance the last couple of days)

Sun in 12H...
-Square Neptune.
-Trine Moon.

I often feel like my Sun is drowning or hidden away deep in the ocean. My sun shines when it comes to DREAMS, fantasies & idealism. It's only apparent to me (12H) because dreams & thoughts mostly stay in my head.

I strongly feel my sun is never directly expressed to others. It's like the power behind the thrown. It brings the ethereal to my other 1H planets, who then express it openly. The qualities that shine & are apparent to others right away, is my usage of intense intellect & aesthetic beauty in my works. Mercury/Venus/Pluto are very strong in my 1H. I feel those qualities dont belong to my sun...but my ideas/artworks are infused with the ethereal quality of my sun.

Supposedly sun in 9th but it doesn't fit that much for me as i'm not into long journeys and higher education. I can't stand institutions or formal anything!
In whole signs, l have sun in 10th.

The only thing l know for sure is that l cannot be employed by anyone. I am my own boss. Oh, and my father was the most important person in my childhood

I love this description of the sun. It's very true for me and l have Leo AC with jupiter cj AC. http://www.astrovalley.com/free_online_vedic_astrology_zodiac_signs_sun_10.php

I'm not sure where I shine. My husband told me that I shine when I'm expressing positive emotions like happiness and love. I guess it's true, since people seem to be really drawn to me when I'm genuinely relaxed and happy.

In Koch/Equal house(the system I use) my Sun is in Scorpio in my 5th house.
It's conjunct Mercury Scorpio and Mars Scorpio.

5th house. I shine in dramatic expression, theater (in the past it was nonprofit for kids), No kids but I am the crazy cat lady that rescues them and finds a home, I love kids and acting like one myself and love talking to kids
I love the stage. All kinds of stage performing
I loathe uptight, precise types who have bugs up their butts and people who are not authentic turn me off BIG TIME.
I love falling in love. So much. And oh so often

I also love travel and exploration and have moved around A LOT and keep doing. Not a 5th house thing, but my 9th house is where my NN is

I have Sun in the 8th,
but if you're thinkin I shine at a strip club the answer is Noooooo.

What normal H8 things can we be good at.
I'd be crap at selling a house, I know that much.

Oh, wait. I've taken care of the dying. I was pretty good at that, unafraid, and happy to be with them. It was pretty cool to share that time with them, and be able to just sit with them, cos most of em just needed someone to sit there and hold their hand while they were processing their different emotions about it all. And then sometimes of course they needed space, so you had to be able to read them to know when they wanted to bargain with their death on their own. Anyway I liked taking care of them.

Lonake....you say strip club like it's a bad thing

But seriously, the stuff with the people dying. What's your 12th house like? I have worked with dying people myself, in hospice and I worked with people on death row. I have a 12th house moon. Methinks stuff with dying folk is a 12th house thingy. 8th house though is just not squeamish about dealing with 12th house issues, generally speaking anyway.

MVM, Just the NN in Cancer, that's it. I got stuck on that in my post, because I remember, hopefully I'm correct, that Elizabeth Kubler Ross had her Sun in the 8th. But really I'm still hard-pressed for H8 areas in which to shine. I'm no good with banking, etc. other people's money, no thanks keep it away from me.

I think 8th house sun people are really easy for other people to talk to.
Not much seems to shock us, and if it does, we can hide it well.
Makes for a good councelor, and a good friend.

9th isn't necessarily journeys or higher education, it is just broadening your horizons in general.

I kind of hate traveling.

I've read that the 2nd house isn't necessarily money but self-worth in general.

Sun in Leo in the 9th, conjunct Mercury and Mars in the 9th as well.

Shinning in the house of philosophies, ventures and global awareness. Though I hate politics and law stuff... I love traveling, exploring new places/cultures and studying.

I have read somewhere a person with a strong 9th house will tend to go very far with life as he/she is good at self - promotion. Hope so!

Sun Leo in 9th house;
ASC Scorpio;
Moon Taurus in 5th house;
Uranus Sagittarius in 1st house

Dear Lonake
I just read your posts about being comfortable with the dying.
I feel a "call", I think to play my guitar in the Hospices.
I am getting to the point where I will be good enough to bring comfort to people.
For some reason, I am learning so easily and so fast.
I think I have some sort of "calling" to use it ,some place.
I was thinking nursing homes but I feel a "calling" to Hospices.
I have never done anything like this before.

Thanks for all you share, Lonake

------------------
Pluto conjunct Dejanira, Girlfriend.
