i can work out some of the planets and understand them as far as them being read in synastry, not by aspect but in the partner's houses and i've noticed that they have some effect but how does chiron work? because not a lot is written about chiron so i wanted to know because i know someone with it falling in my twelfth house and how that'd work, i just don't understand.

Hmmm
That is interesting. I will try to think about it.
Yes, it seems hard to get a feel for, for sure.

When I think of someone's chiron in a house in synastry, I am presented with a sensation of a voice that speaks like a galagaphone (I think it is - but I can' find it when I google). Anyway it sort of speaks in a sort of trumpety up and down all over the place in notes and resonance kind of like if you had a supposedly nice creature who's morph juice was wearing off and they started to reveal their alien/gargoid side.

I think if someone's chiron was in your twelfth house, generally, this may increase a sense of duality within you - like you have two selves present when interacting/thinking/communicating with them.

In the 7th, you would likely see both sides of dilemmas between you both but would need to work on a synthesis of the sides.

In the 5th, you would find that your emotions are up and down (emotions because of the chartreuse colour note). Now that sounds very confusing I know but I have already written a post on this topic and scrapped it because it sounded too out of it.

It talked about chironic healing and was related the Pythagorean chromatic scale in musical notes to correct imbalances.

I had started the posting talking about being, for me, a synchonistic moment because again I was talking about triads.

Here is the website and it has a couple of chiron articles on the side and some other interesting stuff too.
http://www.merliannews.com/artman/publish/article_415.shtml

So when I felt like I should relate the emotion explanation of someone's chiron in the fifth as being founded on the chartreuse colour, then I felt the prompt to go back to the website.

Chartreuse is indicated, which I thought was red, and some sources say yellow-green but is generally yellow which is attributed to the Leo constellation, and the third note is the one we are supposed to look at, to my knowledge for chironic healing - so it would therefore be the 'B'. Leo is associated with the heart/lungs.

You would think it would be Cancer, but no the emotional variation of the 5th house is related to the heart and to love which is consistent with 5th house themes.

So yes, generally I guess in some long winded fashion, I am thinking that in synastry, someone's chiron in your houses denotes an area that will be out of balance and will require some degree of focus to harmonise the variations inherent within the themes.

The first ideas I got with this is that the other's chiron in one of your houses: 'is the worst house number in the street' which I tried to modify and as I have to get off the puter now, I'm not quite sure I can complete what I think the unusual reference is pertaining to.

Chryseis, i did not understand any of that at all... i dunno... in houses, sometimes i feel that one can read their planets in your house as if you had them yourself.. for example, a person i went on a date with has taurus ascendant (like me) had issues with strange activity on his card and i ended up having to pay.. well, they have south node in their second house of gemini, which also falls in MY second house so, keywords are money, possessions, trickester (gemini) and that last part explains why the person's card was being used way out on the other end of the country.. i've read that some of the twelfth house things are rejected from the person and once, i found someone with their venus in my twelfth and i was repulsed yet enticed a little bit but i had a dream about having sex with that person because my mars is also in there and i woke up feeling extremely gross which im guessing is what perhaps someone with venus in there natally must feel like... but chiron, i don't know chiron.. i don't really always understand chiron..

Sorry yes, a typically confusing blurb of mine. I guess there is sometimes just too much information and expanse of sensation for me to bring it down to something intelligible.

Chiron, something I didn't know very well, is associated with Music.

Healing is about harmonising - bringing the disparities and variations into balance and harmony.

When someone else's chiron falls into your chart you will feel a variation of levels to do with that house.

The direction I feel is to use the natural constellation for a house, just as the natural connotations of a house is what you look at for the general meaning of the house - then you look at the natural signs third musical note as a goal in the harmonising because the third note is connected to the chironic healing - not actually indicated in that article.

Your own chart will most likely have a different sign than the traditional sign for the house.

This will flavour the nature of the variance as well as the type of interaction between you and the chiron holder that you are involved with but you aim to resonate with the natural constellation to harmonise the themes of the house between you and the chiron holder.

You apply the healing note through mantra and a tuning fork, or note. You can accompany this with ingested substances such as food, drink etc (natural choices, best) that pertain to the colour as well.

The goal is to harmonise to the third note as shown in that chromatic scale as per natural constellation of the house. The third note is the chironic healing note.

You don't necessarily apply the principle to chiron in your own chart. It is a means of dealing with the chironic influence of another in your space - it will assist in reducing the discord between you.

As an example: you may be going to speak with or meet the person (it is applied to situations where you are in voice communication with someone). Sounds insane, disregard if you like, I don't know if I'd ever bother with it myself, but anyway, the idea is to sort of la-la, la-la, lahhh, cough, clear throat, a -hem, get yourself kind of speaking on the third note of the ones indicated for the constellation that naturally rules that house.

And so yeah, start sort of training yourself to kind of resonate more on that note when you are to speak with that person. Also add a significant item to that colour associated with the natural house sign as well. So yeah, for the 5th house you might have a mango, or pineapple, smoothie - well there is an indication to include guava here, I thought guava was pink - I think it is to do with the appearance of the food so a yellow guava skin, will bring a significant yellow vibration to the guava despite the pink interior - gawd, I hope I've got it right, could be cur-ap.

Well, I was going to right my own addition to the idea: and my addition was to say that you probably wouldn't bother if with it unless you had a significant involvement with the person. Apparently this is not right, though is all you can expect that some can achieve. Apparently, there is a whole science behind, colour and musical note vibration and harmonising with others and how to make it applicable - well be trained to naturally incorporate the principles in daily life when in the company of a range of close communication contacts.

I may add to this but I'm thinking six volumes - haha, that could be brought down to a handbook, - heehee, with a nice and flattering picture of chiron on it, holding a galagaphone, garlargaphone, perhaps but what I see is an alternation between pan pipes and a lyre.

Soooo, maybe just sort of slip away from this idea, while you still have your sanity...*tip toeing away...*

egads, I remember where I have heard that term 'galargaphone' or whatever, its an australian handmade musical instrument whereby you have bottle caps nailed to a wooden stake or wooden cross and you kind of shake and hit the stake on the ground and can even knock it with another stick - yes its true I even made one with a child for a school project I'm not sure but the gala part of the word probably relates to a galah in the parrot family in australia - like a cockatoo. And when someone is acting like a fool mucking around, having a joke and maybe singing etc we might call them a galah.

Anyway, that is not what I thought it was. I pictured a trumpety thing with note keys and wind levers/pegs on it.

It may be one of the words I get that is a play on the word - or it might be just wrong - it might be all wrong in fact.

I'm thinking it has to do with, tuning your own vocal chords, a play on gargle, so yeah an instrument that you don't buy and you have on hand so to speak.

whoa... well, i got some of it that time.. i'd just for sure would have to read more into it to actually understand it but thanks for that....... natally, i have chiron opposing neptune and it squares mars in aries and mercury in libra and if you didn't guess it, those planets are squared by neptune in cap as well.. it's a cardinal cross.. the neptune already in itself makes me very musical as is, dunno if chiron helps.

as for chiron hurting or healing, the myth went that chiron taught hercules something and in turn he was hurt and couldn't heal so he was put in the stars as sagittarius (or so they say).... i don't know how it works..

i've seen it play out in other people but i dunno.... for example, i have looked at someone's chart with it in their seventh..

they also always wanted to have a kid (libra ascendant, that has nothing to do with the wanting kids i don't think but i just wanted to put that out there) they were told they couldn't have babies and they got married.. lo and behold, she ends up pregnant all of a sudden and has her kid.. what happens then?

the husband leaves and cheats and she's left alone with her kid feeling anguish or some sort of pain because her child won't get to have a father as she didn't... in that case, chiron fell in her seventh house, so i'd understand... that's a bit easier to see..

twelfth house things, i just don't know...

i know someone with it in their twelfth, natally, and she's always trying to save somebody from something.. particularly, it tends to be women that are in some sort of crappy relationship.. either their husbands are abusive or they're living their lives alone because they were orphans, whatever..

the case with the chiron in twelfth, NATALLY, is that they are always picking up somebody's sh*t.. they even physically conscious about what's on the curb (such as couches, lamps, etc.. then they're bent on trying to fix them as if it could be used and it turns out, they either don't ever do anything with it or just end up with the crappiest thing when they could just as easily go out and buy something THAT ISN'T EVEN EXPENSIVE and save face not to mention have something that doesn't break down every three seconds)

anyway...... that person, has a history of similar relationships... the irony is that they've never been able to work out their issues and they abstain from relationships all together and have absolutely no courage whatsoever yet they act all tough, high and mighty when it's for someone else..

it's as if they consciously seek out other miserable people...... again, that's natally.

the only thing that i can think of dealing with the twelfth house is that it may be something i can't see... i don't know.

this person has other placements that make them very cold and heartless and they've said it to me and i've said it to them..

with that in mind, i have spared no feelings and have expressed myself as i want to without any consideration whatsoever because i do not get the feeling that i oughta have any at all..... might it be that their pain is just hidden from me or that i don't see it or that it's just....... i dunno......

i can't understand this... it's chiron.... and it's the twelfth house..... twelfth house is already a mystery and chiron is considered as just a simple asteroid for some so idk.... it's late, im a little tired, i can't really think straight.

Ok, I would like to try another attempt at the meaning of someone else's chiron in a house, and the twelfth in particular.

Same thing - in any house there is something to do with 'dis-chord'.

Someone's chiron in your twelfth:

It is truly like there are two selves - well it seems two octaves. I want to say one octave because that is consistent with what I have read on the net, however it seems that there are two octaves.

I guess it all makes perfect nonsense, so I will try to make it more relateable.

Someone's chiron in your twelfth would be experienced as a kind of autism - whereby you would be feeling that you can't quite make a decent connection - you would almost feel resentful and be inclined to be mute, resistive, secretive, mentally unavailable and sort of locked in a mental prison unable to make a very good communication with them. Image: you in water in a big glass fish tank, and the other person outside. You don't feel very motivated to communicate with them except for odd sort of bubbly attempts which you know are ineffective and you don't really care.

They would be trying to relate to you but can't understand why you are in that 'environment' they feel perplexed and sort of desperate to work out what is going on, help you and improve your connection - you just sign back something ineffectual that sort of indicates that you are fine - but you just want them to get out of the way so you can step back into a normalish environment.

So generally you don't want them around too much, maybe only on your terms if you can sort of engineer some kind of narrow margin for them to sort of be in when in a relationship with you.

You don't want their help, you don't want to absorb any of their ideals, wishes and sort of materialistic ambitions, opinions etc - and you generally feel an inherent aversion to anything that they have going on with them, even the clothes they wear.

In order for a relationship to be viable or enduring, you would generally emerse yourself heavily into something, they may think you're a creative genius who shouldn't be disturbed - you may consciously use this as your excuse for distancing yourself - but generally they make you feel like you have been forced to wear your long sleeved T-shirt for pants and your button up shirt on your upper half, inside out with the linings exposed and visible. You would also feel like someone has gelled and slicked your hair back on a sweeping angle and then kind of pushed it forward a bit from the back of the head over the crown. This image has to do with something like making you into a sea creature/fish/ - I think.

sounds pretty weird, but there you have it, do away with it at your will.

The positive for the relationship - is actually to do with the other - they, if suitably canny, become wise to the nature of your nuances and become a bit fish like and kind of savvy as well.

When I say become fish like, this would be like maintaining a fluidy, non-committal, non-fanatical, go with the flow, slippery at times, evasive - yeah, sort of piscean, I guess, haha!

i did get it that time and it does help, you did a good job, thanks. it's almost like i didn't even know where to begin before but when you put it in terms of it being a story in alice in wonderland, i begin to understand lol.... i have mercury square neptune and though to some it may be read as downright lying, i have jupiter in my first and mercury also trines jupiter and opposes mars while squaring chiron so, i work at it enough to be able to say the truth without trying to have the 'sting effect' my words would have with the mars opposition and the square to chiron... so well, the only reason i say that is if perhaps maybe u know someone with the mercury square neptune, it would help u better communicate with them... the opposition i'd caution against especially if a lot of things in their chart tend to lean the person to avoidance.. but overall, images help.. description of funny looking fish help.. try to give em a math problem though and more than likely they'll disconnect lol.

yeah well, chiron in own house is experienced by self as a disturbance almost like a ringing in the ears because the internal sound system is out of tune.

raspberri, i would've ignored that question because i hate the importance some people put on those asteroids when there's so much more in the chart that's just as if not even more revealing than that asteroid itself but it turns out that i have it in there natally though it falls in the sign of my first house, taurus.. in the twelfth house, i think i've read it creates this thing where the person is attracted to underdogs or the diamond in the rough sort of deal where you know something is there but everyone else has passed up because of their unpolished exterior.. in synastry, it'd all depends on who's twelfth and who has the eros in the partner's house.. i think it'd probably put the twelfth house person in somewhat of an awkward position or in a position where they don't even understand why the other person finds them amazing or just so intriguing..

it'd create the feeling perhaps that they were previously wayyy underrated and this new person finally gets them or can kind of at least see the marvel in them..
