Hello all!
So I very recently started seeing this guy, who is a Leo. I am a Leo Rising (and a Gem w/a Taurean Moon)....
I was wondering what effect (in terms of a relationship) that my Rising Sign matching his Sun Sign. Could this be a basis for attraction? A recipe for longevity? Disaster? etc...
Sorry I can't find a way to word this better - hopefully some fellow LLer will get the gist & educate me

Yeah absolutely!
I had this in Leo and *I* was the Sun!
We related very well to each other in a NATURAL way. I can't remember I ever had this before. Unfortunately all kind of f*cking circumstances around us made it impossible to go on after 9 months. I felt very comfortable with his Leo-world of expression.
But.. our Sun/Asc conjunction had an orb of 1,5 degree. The smaller the orb the more you FEEL it they say and I think I'm a nice example for that..

Yes, Mir, I totally agree that there is definitely a mutual feeling of just feeling natural with the other person, and quite often you hit it off with this person very fast. You also tend to tell this person very personal things without a bat an eye, and it can also be a very sexual connection. But I just found of today that this Capricorn that I've connected with quite fast, has his ASC. at 6 degrees Leo on my Sun at 8 degrees Leo, so hello Sun-Asc. conjunction!

Wow vertiver, that's very very VERY nice!
I read on Desktop (I thought on Desktop) that it's even better if it's the woman's Sun and the man's ascendant.. I really think that's true! At least in my experience.
I even dare to bet that your *relationship* will be/become something very special..

My Leo-Sun is at 7'25*
His Leo-Asc at 5'57* !

My Mum has Asc at 29 Gemini.
My Dad has Sun at 29 Gemini.

Not a good relationship and it ended REALLY badly.

I don't know if Sun/Asc conjunction is a special one. I'm an amateur.

My Saturn is also at 29 Gemini

It took some time but I found it..... from a thread in March this year;

I loved reading this!

I wonder how significant the signs involved are..

Sun conjunct AC

The attraction between these two could be passionate and instantaneous. However, the need of the Sun partner to be treated as the greater light in the household, coupled with their desire for constant attention, could cause some strife with the AC partner, whose "me first" attitude rivals that of the Sun.
Should the Sun partner begin to collect his or her compliments from other attractive sources, then the AC person will make the effort to appease and if the love he or she holds for the Sun native is very strong, then the AC partner will make a tremendous effort to become the greatest admirer of all. Still, this could soon venture into the realm of boredom for the AC partner unless he or she can collect the same from Sun. In this relationship, AC enjoys being told how wonderful he or she might be.

There are many similarities in the romantic arena, which can be one of the most important things that will keep this pair true to commitments. Between the two of them, if at least one is loving and tactful with the other...meeting emotional needs...then this could be a happy union of longevity.

This is most assuredly a dynamic love affair where sparks will fly. There will also be a mutual and healthy love of sportsmanship and competition. These are two partners who have genuine admiration and respect for each other, but they need to learn how to take turns in issuing commands and delivering orders. At times, he AC partner may be bothered by the flirtatious nature of Sun. Nonetheless, this relationship will never be anything less than exciting. Despite their sometimes noisy differences, the AC person often looks to the Sun as a guide or counsellor and any divergences between this pair can be overcome.

In this combination, there will inevitably be an ongoing competition regarding who is in charge and since a love affair should not be concerned with power, this can easily become a problem. Both individuals here possess boundless energy so they will constantly be "on the go” together, and although they may disagree, the differences of opinion rarely last long. Simply put, the AC partner will not harbor a grudge.

The AC individual can provide the Sun partner with the assertiveness to charge ahead and take chances. In turn, the Sun can help teach the AC partner to stabilize. The AC partner may occasionally damage the feelings of Sun by blurting something out without forethought. Conversely, the AC may become irritated by Sun's bossy nature and their tendency to sulk. Still, this will be a loyal pair who care deeply for each other and when they reach an understanding that there does not always have to be a boss, this can be a blissful and exciting union. There is a mutual admiration here.

This combination can be a great match. The romantic interludes will be magnificent with little if any infidelity since each finds in the other what he or she needs. This is something of an ideal union.

That is weird, Mir, cause I read somewhere that is better for the Woman to be the ASC. and Man be the Sun, which I don't agree with.

So you've experienced this interlay as well? What house is your Sun located? See my Sun is in the 8th, so of course anyone who's ASC. contacts my Sun is gonna go a bit gaga for me or least sexually

Yea, I don't like being the Asc person.
*Much* prefer it the other way around. Drawn to those yummies in an instant

Indeed vertiver, you read it everywhere that it's better for the woman to be the asc.,that's why I mentioned that in my experience vice versa is better.

My Sun is IN the 12th & right on the cusp of the 12th. Hm.. not really sexy but the physical contact (hugs, *clinical* kiss/touch level etc) has been the most natural and intense I've ever experienced (with this asc-guy).
For me that's *love*... a natural & spontaneous boost to touch and to instantly realize it! (I've had it two times in my life).

Hmm AC conjunct Sun in the synastry isn't necessarily romantic, it just shows that there's better affinity, since one's Sun (ego) is like the other's AC (personality and general views in life).

In my own experience, I have Virgo AC, and know a few Virgo Suns, and I don't really feel romantically attracted to them, just some kind of affinity to their Virgo traits.

Yeah Rasberri I agree, maybe its more obvious if say you have Leo Sun, because the sun is the natural ruler of Leo, and the ASC. person in a sense gets a bit of a solar rush?

And Mir, since your Sun is in the 12th, I'd say its a more fated spiritual connection than just plain good ol' affinity.
