alright, so who here has a missing leg? mVm just mentioned in another thread that she thinks people tend to act out their missing legs. mine's in leo and i'm trying to figure out if this is the case for me, and i'm not sure. my draconic sun is also leo. so i guess i have sort of a makeshift set of crutches going on, which is helpful. normally i shy away from attention and anything very Grand but i have been consciously trying to incorporate leoness into my persona lately.. the weird thing is that people have always SEEN ME as being very confident when this has not been the case most of my life, so i wonder if it sort of gets put out there unconsciously or something?

what are your methods for balancing your t-square if you have one?

My missing leg is Leo too whoa LOL
But I'm a 5th house sun which is completely without aspect, which is going to make it stick out more....oooh, the mystery!
I think it's true to an extent and I'll tell you that before I even knew about the missing leg theory but knew about tsquares, I knew a guy with a fixed tsquare with Aqua as the missing 'leg' and I always thought he acted Aqua-ish in some very weird way. He was a double Taurus Cancer rising so I thought wtf? And then it was like Ooohoh, interesting.

So I think it's a possible theory because I have read that the tsquare creates pressure and it's like a buildup without the outlet of the third planet, so you end up acting it out to alleviate the pressure. I have to be creative and and remain open and I also do love the stage. I used to do a lot of theater, it was awesome for the Leo-ness. But then it's also natural for a 5th house sun!

PS , I can see the Leo in you a little bit. Leo's not just attention, it's also warmth, playfulness, and a level of dignified leonine pride

hmm! good theory. that actually kinda makes sense; i mean, where else can it go? the pressure from the t-square itself would essentially HAVE to escape in that direction, i would think. it makes sense 'physic'ally, so why not metaphysically?

re your PS, thanks. i think i'm way more comfortable with leo characteristics with close friends. in fact, i would say that might come out more strongly with me the closer i am to someone and that it overshadows my aquarian nature. in public though, i hate having a lot of attention on me. hate it. i do act goofy and friendly but i find it difficult expressing warmth in an outgoing way unless i know the person very well.

i can see it in you too. do you feel like you WANT to be more leolike, or is it kind of a meh thing?

Woah, I think it's like I love the attention because of my 5th house sun which always wandering without any aspects. The 5th house is just exasperated by my tsquare, and yes, I become a LOT more Leonine and fiery when people get to know me.

I do feel this tsquare thing is just a strong desire to manifest my essence which sometimes feels muddled and clouded. Missing square of the sun/ Leo is a FIXED tsquare and the sun is ego expression, it's struggling to manifest itself. Kind of like telling someone you sometimes feel like a ghost and they go, But you're very real, and you sometimes go, yeah I know, but some part of me doesn't quite believe it or something. My expression of it is like the pinch I give myself to check lol

interesting.. i can relate to that somewhat. for me it's like when i really awaken into myself i'm full of joy and warmth and generosity and LIFE! but it certainly isn't my default, and that could be my jupiter in leo as well. i dunno, i have so many squares in my chart that (and am so fixed, generally) that i feel very strongly that i know who i am, yet, parts of me are always competing for expression, and that is just part of my identity. and i'm stubborn about it damnit.

it must be interesting having an unaspected sun.. i wonder if it's 'easier' than a superaspected one (three squares, two conjunctions, one sextile, one trine and 2 minor aspects). i imagine it almost as a feeling of freedom..

I envy those with super aspected suns

Your Jupiter is in Leo? Mine's in Aqua and it's the apex of my tsquare and the very top of my chart LOL

What planet is the apex in the tquare for you?

[edit] and i actually feel that way about my jupiter. the ghost like feeling.. a sense of reaching for contact or friction or something.

i dunno if your jealousy is really warranted though.. i seriously basically CANNOT REST, like ever. even despite my taurus moon (which so so badly wants to, no, needs to). i'm just too ON all the time.

Uranus is the square?! Really? How appropriate for an Aqua!

No, my tsquare is Mars and Venus opposing each other and battling in the 1st/7th house, then Jupiter squares both of them in my 10th house. I dunno I kinda like my Jupiter

Woah, I can't rest either, the mind doesn't shut up. But I love sleeping and taking naps lol

Capricorn - we're talking about T-Squares, right? Saturn is the apex of the T-Square, squaring both Jupiter and Pluto, from the 9th.

I have a T-square. Not sure on orbs but:

neptune 25' scorpio
IC 19' scorpio
sq
jupiter 25' leo
AC 29' leo
sq
mars 21' taurus
MC 19' taurus

So is my missing leg Aquarius?

What exactly is a missing leg?
Is it something that would make a trine a grand trine, for example?
Please explain,if you could

Yes, yours is Aquarius, Lara.

Ami, if you have a T-square, it's between three planets. The missing leg is the place opposite the planet that squares both in the T-square. (That sentence looks appalling - sorry. Does it make any sense, though?? )

I have a tsquare if you count ascendants as part of it. The missing leg of that would be in Virgo.

So, Teasel, this only refers to someone who has a square of 3 planets and the "fourth" space would be what is called the "leg"
Thank you , Teasel

for a minute I was wondering if we needed to get out the leg police....

So does this mean if I have a tsquare involving Libra Pluto, Cancer Saturn, and Cappy sun/merc/venus, that my missing leg is Aries?

I have an Out-of-sign T-Square so I'm probably not a good candidate for this anyways, but its Chiron in Cancer opposing Saturn/Uranus in Sag with the apex being my Arien Mars. I wouldn't know which one is the missing leg...Virgo or Libra? Either way, I have a Virgo Moon so I'm just not a good candidate for this project (like I already said), and I don't see myself as Libran but if anyone else does its probably because of my 7th house Sun or Libra MC.

It means that I should quit complaining about my own T-Square. Ouch. I don't envy you the Saturn opposed Sun/Venus/Mercury.

My Jupiter might be in the area of your missing leg. I think you're about a year older than me, so our T-squares might be in the same area.

I think yeah it is Aries, ABs

I have a non-major planet tsquare as well with Pluto/Lilith/Uranus making Aries another missing leg

I guess I could shove my Aries Chiron in there, and then it wouldn't be missing a leg...it would just be umm...a challenge!

JEEZ, your t square sounds positively sexy! kay i'll trade you my superaspected neurotic as hell sun and you gimme your sex on wheels t square, cool?

yeah naps are amazing but i always get a yucky stomach after i wake up. i looove sleep though, and once i'm asleep, i am a rock.

and hmmm..that's interesting that you brought up uranus/aquarius cuzzzz i just noticed my missing leg falls in my 8th. my sun's ruler is uranus in SCORPIO and i have a lot of 'in scorpio' affinities (thankfully only positive aspects), SO.. i suppose this means i am to be more leolike with a scorpionic flavour!? and that maybe it won't be necessarily the hardest thing in the world, due to my affinities and ruler of my sun. though, i also have saturn and NN in the 8th, so i have difficulty with it (and it is also my 'path'). do we really take into account what the house is of our missing leg?

seriously, though, your t square sounds pretty yummy. and the resolution/sprouted leg comes from being confident with those energies??.. lucky girl! i also imagine jupiter helps a whole lot, even with regard to feeling your leo, since it expands whatever it touches..
