What are your experiences with tSaturn squaring Saturn? What were your challenges? What did you learn?

My natal Saturn is in my 7th in Cancer, conjunct my Moon and DC. I'm already heartbroken and in a bad place vis-a-vis romantic relationships. How might this transit affect me?

I find Saturn transits quite difficult. The square was easier than the opposition and the conjunction, although it was still a difficult time. I found I had to put more effort into everything I did and go the extra mile to push myself out there. But I did do it!... and learned from it. It generally starts off for me as a depressing and lonely time. Then I make the effort to open up, reach out to people and get more rest! The more rest I can get, the more energy I have to deal with things. Saturn transits seem to suck life out of you so rest and sleep is a must!

The conjunction was actually really great for me. It was hard (I ended a long term relationship and changed careers), but it was very fulfilling, like I was reborn.

However, I had tJupiter conjunct my Sun during that time, too.

I loved my Saturn Return, as well - I hadn't even paid attention to where Jupiter was (in 2003), because saturn and Uranus were so busy in my chart. If Jupiter was in Leo at the time, that would explain why I felt so great. (Trine my Aries planets and Neptune, plus a conjunction to my MC plus transit through it.)

Whenever Saturn got close to a conjunction, or squared a personal planet, I had dizzy spells, and had to stay in bed, but otherwise, it was a great year for me.

The square hasn't been. I've been depressed over several things, for the past year - before the square even started, I was feeling low.

There's nothing going on in my chart that seems like it'll make my Saturn square Saturn better...I'll also have Pluto square Pluto. I'm already so unhappy and heartbroken...I'm worried the universe will just start taking worse things away from me. (Like, "Oh, you think it's so bad he left you? Well, what if someone you love DIED?")

Just flow with Mr. Pluto, go with him. When I had him transiting my natal saggy mars/nn/nep, it was tough when I tried to go against the current.

Be like the tide going out...go along.

I know what you mean. I was crying and feeling heartbroken over the holidays and in January/February, only to have my dog have a heart problem diagnosed, another dog develop glaucoma in her second eye (just as I was starting to feel better!), and this June, when I was heartbroken all over again, and severely depressed for several reasons, my cat died. And then something else happened. Bah!

Ugggghh, Teasel, I'm so sorry.

I have these transits coming up and I live alone with an old cat, who I adore.

Saturn square Saturn also meant Saturn square Uranus (I just went through mine) so

Disenchantment with authority and having a quarter life crisis wherein I hated everything that I was doing in school.

I also have tUranus squaring my natal Saturn/Uranus at the same time so THAT WAS FUN. It wasn't too bad, emotionally, though.
