Looking for any insights on how one person loves with a natal venus retro? Whether or not you have it, please feel to comment....

Are you all in your natural element with venus retrograding now?

So they're pushovers huh? Lol... maybe if its in pisces retrograding. Lol

Got this from Skyview:
Venus Retrograde
* reconsiders before expressing love or affection
* relates awkwardly to others
* doubts the love others offer
* can become obsessed in relationships
* feels let down by the commitment level of others

Oh I have Venus Retrograde it went direct when I was 5..

I thought you were talking about how does everyone love during a Venus Rx..

Love for me is deep and I am a little obsessive although this became more apart of me when my Progressed ASC changed into Scorpio.

But love is sacred when I was a little girl I never ever let any one touch me I didn't lose my virginity until I was 19.

I don't relate awkwardly towards others tho and I never second guess myself.

I know a couple people who've never seemed to become obsessed in relationships.

They um, do not have 8th house stelliums.

A little obsession is always healthy...lol!
Natally I have venus in aquarius direct but my 7th house is ruled by pluto so I don't mind it so much...I find it endearing. : )

I was told to stay away from a man with a retro venus because all they do is run around on women but I think it has to do with where they're at in their spiritual evolutionary process. But I can see venus rx being a little repressive.

There can be a tendency towards social introversion which is perceived by others as snobbery/aloofness.

Sometimes this Venus a has strange habit. They obey social norms but the norms are outdated.

A man with Venus retro can feel strongly socially embarrassed by any woman who does not seem like she is basically out of a Jane Austen novel.
It is important for them to be socially acceptable and for their partner to also be socially acceptable. The problem is that they are not very savvy in knowing what is actually considered socially acceptable behavior this century. So it's difficult for them to find a partner who meets this outdated criteria. They seem to stand by these values throughout their lives, firmly believing they are also everyone else's values.. Seemingly not noticing society as it is - today.
If this man saw an episode of 'sex and the city'... He'd refer to it as fiction. He wouldn't mentally accept that women can behave that way.

There are exceptions to this. Some Venus signs are rebellious by nature so they won't have the desire to fit in.
A direct Scorpio or Aries Venus would rebel against the social norms we have -today-.

A retro Scorpio or Aries Venus can sometimes get caught up in time, rebelling against past tense norms that have already been blown out of the water..because these norms are still very real in their minds.

I can see it being perceived as being snobbery but more or less that they are perceptive of their surroundings.

What norms? I have Retro Venus in Aries, and I've never really worried that much about fitting in the norms or rebelling against it. Just have some insecurity and obsession issues about love. :3 But then having a whole stellium including Venus in the 8th house, BML conjunct Venus (and Moon), Pisces DC and Neptune square Sun doesn't really help lol.

By the way, about that link, it's interesting how I'm the only one at home that doesn't smoke, and my parents and brother smokes and does have retro Neptune. XP

I can identify myself with a few things in the list, but I don't agree with a few others, but it's interesting. X3

Does anyone think that you would be able to have a fulfilling relationship with someone who has a venus retrograde? For me personally, my SO has venus in aquarius retro and he is sooo indirect about his feelings. His nature is to intellectualize our relationship on a friendship level...like your my best friend, instead of telling people I'm his girlfriend. But that may also be something else in his chart too. To me I think he is secretly obsessed with me but will never admit due to too much pride. And he can never quite figure out where I stand with my feelings...which I admit I am quite elusive about. But nonetheless, I do love him but would never tell him. That would change everything & I love how our relationship works.
