What is most often seen in the charts of people who are married?

What does it most often require?

Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner had Venus square Mars exact and Venus opposition Pluto exact.

Okay here are some aspects that I know of, my ex husband and I had a TON of these and yeap..together for ten years and if we would of been able to work out our stuff, been forever.

Sun conjunct ascendant is a huge one

saturn in aspect to venus in a positive way

saturn in aspect to saturn in a positive way

saturn in someone's 7th house or 5th house

juno con juno is huge, like pple with this aspect have a 98% change if they engage in a relationship...yeap I did and so did my friend that just asked his woman to marry him and some other married friends I know

of course, some nice but not always neccessary aspects....

sun con moon.

sun con venus (good for friendship not necessarly romance)

moon con venus

okay I'm done...*laughs*

I think this is complicated, because there are so many different kinds of "marriages."

Some people marry for convenience and not love, and express their passions elsewhere.

Others have long term, committed partnerships but do not marry.

In my case, my Libra ex and I lived together in a committed relationship for almost 15 years. We did not marry because I did not believe the state or church should be involved in sanctioning anyone's romantic or sexual life, especially when there were some committed, loving couples who were not allowed to wed in our state because of their sexual orientation.

Now I see the other side--with the Aries who recently left me, I would want to marry him just to formally declare our love and committment in a public ceremony. (Obviously, that's not going to happen.)

But I think we can look at this two ways:

1) at charts of people in a long-term (5+ year) romantic relationship where they live together, are lovers, and are committed to each other...this also allows us to look at couples in the past who were long-term partners but could not wed due to laws of their time

2) at charts of people who, for whatever reason, had a formal wedding ceremony

The choice to marry and the choice to have a committed LTR are different, especially in America, I know people who have had three two-year-long marriages. To me that's just casual dating, and they are rash about making it official.

In the charts of friends in long term love relationships OR marriages, I notice:
-angle-to-angle conjunctions
-node to planet conjunctions
-node to angle conjunctions

I think it depends in the people involved.

I was married for 23 years and together for almost 30 years.

We had very bad synastry, only one conjuction of Sun and Asc very wide.

Saturn square Sun, square Moon, square Mercury, square Mars.

Moon square Moon, semiquare Saturn
Moon square Asc.

Mercury square Mercury, conjuct Pluto.

Venus trine Sun, trine Venus, trine Moon, conjuction Saturn all of this were very wide like 7 to 9 degrees and sesisquare Asc or 135 degrees.

Mars 135 from Mars.

Uranus oppose Moon and Moon Square Uranus
Pluto 135 from Pluto.

Of course I was very unhappy for many years, the Saturn that he has in Cancer made my life miserable I am a Aries.

I will never get it to another relationship with a Cancer, my mother is a Cancer do I need to say more? I have a lots of friends that are Cancer or have their Moon or Venus next to my Asc we get along perfect, both my sons have Moon in cancer but I think the best, is that they have their Jupiter over my Sun, Venus and trine my Moon, trine Saturn.

When I got together with my ex I did not know Astrology

Lucia, I was very much in love he use to critize me all the time I guess I was very hard headed then when I had the first kid I did not wanted my kid to be without a father, my father and mother were divorce when I was very young and I suffer a lot because of that, now I realize that if you have problems there is no point to be in an unhappy marriage, kids are better off without figths and problems.

I don't think that he was in love with me, he was atracted to me, I put up with a lot of BS, but I also have in my natal chart Venus trine Saturn, so I do not like to change parters I will do everithing possible to make things work, I guess it was very karmic relationship.

Hmm I've noticed that in synastry, Juno seems kinda meaningful.

I find it easier to identify commitment feelings between a couple through composite aspects - Jupiter/Juno aspecting inner planets like Sun, Moon and Venus seems to show commitment feelings.

By the way, back to the synastry charts again, asteroids like Union, Boda, Groom and Briede seems interesting too.

Lastly, AC/AC opposition might arouse strong commitment feelings, since the ACs are conjunct each other's DC, and this can show that the couple naturally sees each other as potential/natural partners.

^You mean Juno conjunct Sun in the Composite?

I just met someone new whose MC is at 13 Libra and my ASC is at 13 Libra!

Our houses are perfectly aligned.

Lucia,

I agree with you.

I also see personal planet, or Saturn conjunct an angle, too.
The outer planets may be too generational without something backing them up.

node and angle conjunctions seem to be the "backspine".

My parents (married for 36 + years):
-------------------------------------

his ASC (and Saturn - both on 18 Virgo):
conjunct her Venus (0)
conjunct her Mars (4)

his SN:
conjunct her Saturn exact
conjunct her Jupiter

Friends of mine (together for 10 years, married for 6 years):
--------------------------
his ASC:
conjunct her DESC (1)

her DESC:
conjunct his Sun (2)
conjunct his ASC (1)

Some celebrity couples (of course we never know HOW their relationships were, just how long, unless they kept it a secret)
----------------------------------------

Newman - Woodward
--------------------

his ASC, Mercury and Venus:
conjunct her ASC
conjunct her Saturn

his IC:
conjunct her Chiron
conjunct her NN (4)

his SN:
conjunct her Mercury
conjunct her Mars

her ASC:
conjunct his ASC
conjunct his Jupiter
conjunct his Mercury
conjunct his Venus

(her DESC conjunct his Pluto within one degree I think)

Paul Mc Cartney - Linda Eastman

his ASC (and Neptune):
conjunct her NN
(conjunct her Neptune at 2 degrees)

his MC:
conjunct her Jupiter (isn`t that fitting?)

her MC:
conjunct his Moon

^You mean Juno conjunct Sun in the Composite?

Sun represents the center of the relationship, so Juno conjunct it can show that the relationship should be a committed one, or at least has some commitment ideas. But then it should depend on the rest of the chart to determine the nature of the relationship.
