Topic: Is it possible to have Chiron rising?

I took a look at another post on Rising Planets and noticed that my chart shows Chiron as the only body anywhere near my ascendant. Is it possible to have Chiron rising and, if so, what does it mean?  IP: Logged |

Lexx has this , too.
I think it means you will have to deal with deep and painful things in your life.
You will be "forced" to go places that many other people do not in terms of going very deeply within yourself.
When you emerge, you will be a person of great depth and sensitivity uniquely able to bring healing to others  Does this fit you at all? ------------------

It's not far off the mark. I've been adopted and found my birth-family a couple of years ago. I always seem to end up in situations that everyone else says are impossible. I have a strong need to help people and, somehow, I'm attracted to people with crazy and often very tough/sad conditions in their lives. If someone says something can't be done I want to do it. Idk why. I've had many people tell me things and then say they never tell anyone what they're telling me. Maybe this is why. Chiron definitely isn't conjunct my ascendant. But, due to it's position, would you say it is rising in my chart?IP: Logged |

i didnt even know about aspects, barely any about houses and tons of this other stuff...before i found this site i just knew about the sun signs in general and thats what i studied for a time...can you believe in the few months i'v been here i learned SOOO much? yup-yup, thats me!! if the closest planet to your asc is your rising planet then mine would be jupiter...exalted as it is too...whoohoo for me!! ^^------------------

mercury is my ruling planet but jupiter is closest to my asc...and mercury is in sag!! LOL------------------

Hi curbro, and Welcome to LL.Chiron is not rising in your chart. It must be a maximum of 10 degrees (even that is considered to far by some astrologers) away from the AC (in 12th) to be considered as "rising" in one's chart. Planets in the 12th do tell us about things that we will deal with psychologically. So, with the wounded-healer in 12th, you can speculate as to how Chiron affects your sub-conscious drives. i have moon in aries with chiron in the 12th house too!mine is 30 degrees away from the ASC IP: Logged |

i second unmoved.. that is not chiron rising, it is chiron in your twelfth and the only opposition i see, is it's opposition to saturn and that still would not affect your ascendant because it is not the moon.. if you're taking into account rulerships, the moon rules your ascendant and saturn your descendant but if you're playing by that game, then you'd have to take the consideration of it affecting your tenth and fourth house as well ninth and third by planetary influence and at this point, things r just far too complicated so you can entertain the thought but just know that it isn't written in stone.. anyway..i know someone with chiron in their twelfth.. it seems that they can never find someone worse off than them enough.. it's almost a sick thing with them where they find others in shady situations and they then make themselves to be the one that 'saved' them and i honestly believe it's for some kind of sick thing to make themselves feel better.. they walk away with a chip on their shoulder as if 'see, i'm the one that did it' but there are other factors in the chart that may just the same encourage that. the person i'm speaking of, also has moon in aries and the boasting, is quite heard of.. they also project all of their bs onto others.. if they for some reason feel they were abused in relationships, they will find someone who may in fact may be going through physical abuse and it is they who jump in to save them as if they were saving themselves and they do it fueled by their anger, resentment or hate.. the bs never ends. if they felt unloved or un-nurtured as a child, they will find someone who was left an oprhan when they were younger and will befriend them either out of pity or i think subconsciously to help themselves feel better. they may even find themselves in situations with others who are comfortable with themselves, yet they project their issues onto them.. if say it is an older man and he is starting to bald, he may find a 20 year old woman and start discussing with her things about her hair loss and how he's worried because he's found a lot of it in the shower and cautions her, telling her to seek protection... the girl is 20.. considering she styles her hair, people lose hair on the regular, she's no different only that after the conversation with the balding man, she's freaked and paranoid because he's making his issues something to do with her telling her how she should deal with it when it is in fact, a problem of his own and not at all something that affect her. i have my personal views towards people with chiron in their twelfth but that does not cloud what i've noticed in people with that placements.. there are many ways to handle it and there are many things others may do to help themselves deal with them so for you and yours, i wish u luck. you have nothing rising. be well. ALSO: i'd like to add that i did use the word 'sick' a few times and yes, with chiron, sick really is the word because that's exactly what it is. IP: Logged |

Because the moon rules my ascendant, I try to keep people around me that are what I want to be. I'm very easily influenced by others and do my best to put myself in positive situations. I greatly appreciate your words of warning and will do my best to notice these patterns and change them. IP: Logged |
