Hi Featherlightly,

I've been obsessing for something similar!
But I think that's what makes me learn Astrology and try to unravel the mysteries.

Our charts have a lot in common!
You have some good synastry there too!
It seems to me that the reason you'r obsessing over is due to he's Pluto opposite your Venus, I have this nataly and in synastry with someone! (Yiakes)

I had Ascendant conjunct someone's Pluto and the Pluto person always has the upper hand and seemed to influence my moods for good or bad! I don't like at all someone having that power over me...

Maybe he likes to be the one in control, so maybe it's wise to wait and see. And let him be the one giving the 1st step?

Like I told you, I have good synastry with someone and I've got indication that it's on a very karmic level!

When people sense a lot of intensity coming from a relationship sometimes they drop away for fear to open the Pandora box...

Sorry, not to be of more help but I'm still learning myself. It's just that I'm familiar with that configuration I've mentioned!

I wish you good luck!

Thanks for your reply! I agree, it's probably Pluto at work here -- especially because he has such a tight ascendant/Pluto conjunction natally, and in opposition to his natal 7th house ruler (Mars). He probably uses that energy without even thinking about it. I've been in Pluto/Venus relationships before, but always as the Pluto person -- I don't feel comfortable with someone else having the upper hand like this.

Good luck with your relationship too!

Why would it be doomed for failure?

You both have some strong synastry going on but I'm not a fan of Venus/Pluto in synastry it always coincides with unrequited love.

How does one acquire a significant others birthtime without sounding like a complete *kook* ? LOL. This is a sincere question btw, everytime I try it I get weird looks.

buddy -- I have two strategies.

1. Start talking about whether you prefer getting up early or staying up late, and then say something like: "Hey, I have this theory that people born in the morning tend to be 'morning people' and people born at night tend to be night owls. Do you know what time you were born?"

2. After they tell you their birthday, say "Wow, you were born on the exact same day as my (friend/neighbor/relative/etc.). What time?"

I prefer number one. I never get suspicious looks from it.

Hi featherlightly,
your chart comparison is absolutely wonderful and fated, karmic, nothing you could avoid (and why should you! This is love!) Please do not think too much - just live it out at the fullest!
I wish you luck and happiness - enjoy!!!

One more thing for anyone reading... the Mars/Neptune opposition (exact) scares me... does this indicate infidelity? Or make it likely? Or suspicion of each other? I'm trying to understand how that could manifest.

Actually it's Mars/Chiron opposite Neptune/Saturn...

You're right... even worse. His Neptune plays into my natal Saturn/Uranus opposition Mars/Chiron, and my Venus plays into his natal Ascendant/Pluto opposition Mars. Do you think the good synastry aspects are enough to outweigh this?

dysfunctionalmystic,

I suggest you break up your paragraphs into shorter ones. If you want to become a successful online publisher, then you must make your articles easy to read especially for people with very short attention span. Lots of white space...shorter sentences... and paragraphs of no more than 5 lines.

my suggestion featherlightly is to forget astrology in this relationship. it's obviously a mix of good and less good aspect (to synthetize an idea that can be developped for pages, what is good, what is bad...) anyway your synastry and your individuals charts are what they are, your upbringing are what they are, and my humble advice is to go on with what you (your mind and your heart) want to do with this person.

keep astrology for other discoveries so you experience this relationship 'potentially romantically) first hand.

but from an astro perspective, I think it is very interesting (I don't want to comment more for the reasons above)

I don't know if it's applicable since personally, I would find this advice very difficult to follow.

ps: go for it, trust that he could feel the same, what have you got to loose?

Wow, your synastry really looks lovely. Two nice fire-moon Tauruses, and that particular age gap (with the woman older) can be really great, in my experience. I think conjunctions of Jupiter to personal planets are one of the most underrated synastry aspects.

I also notice Jupiter conjunctions often bring with them that kind of neat, "lucky" coincidence of having unexpected connections.

Your Suns fall in each other's 7th house--you have that nice Sun-ASC conjunction, and Mars-Venus adds lots of sexual attraction. Looks like love potential to me.

In my opinion, though, each natal is much more important than synastry...and I have also developed the non-astrological opinion that, no matter what the synastry, obsessing on an astrological website about a relationship before it even has a chance to begin can really harm the quality of the energy someone puts out, changing it from "sexy love interest" to "shy, overexcited, desperate groupie." After spending six hours obsessively checking to see whether the draco asteroid Help-I-Desperately-Wish-I-Was-In-A-Relationship is conjunct his draco antiVertex, when you see him, your heart can get all frozen up, like you're a kid running into your favorite movie star.

Also you end up diverting the sexual energy into abstract obsession.

I can't see in your natal why you're doing that (is it Pluto?)--but stop. Stop looking at this one astrologically, and focus on being open-hearted, open-minded, and laid-back. Ban yourself from ANY online activities such as googling him, FaceBook or other social networking, obsessing about him in emails to friends, and looking at the charts. You can allow yourself to return to looking at the whole thing astrologically after the first time the two of you have made love.

The only way you can start reading him right is by chilling out and opening your heart when you're around him. Don't forget the little things--eye contact, touching his arm, smiling at him.

With his Aries, he will make a move if he's interested and available, even in a work situation--unless you start sending out off-putting energy because this is too big a thing for you. Follow your North Node and stop looking for security before you even get to explore and enjoy the situation.

Also, I disagree that Venus-Pluto=unrequited. I've had it in an unrequited situation, but I've also had it with almost all of my lovers.

If you are a woman and he is a man and he is not married then he is probably interested in you to the extent that you want anyways.
