Maybe someone out there can help me figure this out. Is the moon sign more significant than venus/mars or the other way around when it comes to astro compatibility? I'm a scorpio and my crush is a pisces which I get but the whole venus/mars/moon sign thing I'm completely lost. I know his venus sign is aquarius and mine is virgo. My mars is libra and his is capricorn. My moon sign is cancer and his is libra. So in order to be astrologically compatible, are the venus/mars supposed to be the same element/sign or is the moon supposed to be same element/sign. Hope I didn't confuse anyone as much as I'm confused myself.

Neither is really "more" important -- they're just important in different ways. Moon-moon aspects are one indicator of emotional compatibility and show how your moods and inner needs mesh with his, but moon-IC or moon-IC ruler aspects can show something similar. Venus-Mars looks more at the physical expression of love, sexual compatibility, etc.

When looking at compatibility, you really have to look at both people's natals and all of the synastry aspects rather than just certain planets. It's the big picture and the prevailing themes that are important. Moon alone, or Mars/Venus alone, tells you very little.
