Is there a way you can see who your future husband/wife is in your natal chart? I know to look to the 7th house but what does the 7th house actually say in terms of what your future partner may be like? Things such as looks, occupation, etc.

I think that the house placement and sign of the 7th house ruler and any planets in the 7th house say more than the actual sign on the cusp of the 7th house.

My 7th house ruler is the Moon in Aries in the 3rd house. I ALWAYS am attracted to fiery Gemini types. Spontaneous and creative, very intelligent/intellectual jack of all trade types. Oddly enough, I always attract people who go away on short trips often, like more than the regular person OR it'll be some type of long/medium distance scenario.

That's what I'm trying to figure out...I have an intercepted 7th house scorpio/sag with neptune. Pisces rules my 11th house, pluto in 6th and jupiter right on my ascendent. Does that = an artistic friend obsessed with work with a spiritual mind? Lol

7th house ruler Jupiter conjunct Ascendant:Very fiery, aries/sag types. self centered. creative and active.

Neptune in the 7th Either transcendence through relating or delusion. You project your desire for spiritual transcendence onto other people. Attracting very guru-esque types or wannabes people as a projection of your own unfulfilled desire.

Also attracting people with boundary issues. Or unconsciously having boundary issues yourself...Not knowing where you end and another begins.

Can someone shed light on mine? My DC is in Cancer with Leo intercepted. No planets are in the 7th. Primary ruler, Moon, is in Gemini in the 4th and opposite Saturn (only major aspect). Co-ruler, Sun, is in Taurus in the 4th opposite MC, trine AS, trine Mars, and sextile Jupiter.

the ninth harmonic chart is also said to give clues to the marriage partner, i think you can get it at astro.com
one thing i've noticed with the ninth harmonic chart is that it does describe the kind of person you want and if it is being hit by a transit this could indicate important timing for marriage potential, the vedic astrologers give this chart equal weight with the natal when looking at compatibility

The DC sign can give an idea of what traits can be ideal in our partners. Also, the Moon/Venus (in a man's chart) or Sun/Mars (in a woman's chart) signs as well as their aspects can also give some insight about the traits we find ideal in the opposite sex.

There are some threads in which DD mentioned about the rulers of the 5th, 7th and 8th houses and the aspects to them can show what we are looking for in our partners too. The 5th house is about romance and love, the 7th house is about the partner as our equals, and the 8th house is about intimacy.

For example, in my chart:
- Sun in Aries, Mars in Taurus - for me, an ideal guy would be one who is masculine and natural (naturally handsome ), deep but uncomplicated and confident and courageous.
- Pisces DC - a sensitive and gentle partner.
- 5th ruler Saturn in Scorpio in the 3rd house - mature and serious, deep and intelligent guys.
- 7th/8th ruler Neptune square Sun, trine Mars and sextile Pluto - masculine guys who are sensible and deep.

I've read that Juno can tell a woman alot about who her future partner will be. I guess Juno doesn't have alot of weight as far as marriage goes for a man,but his Moon does I guess.

I have Juno in Scorpio in my 5th house.
I married a man who is kind of dark and moody, can be fun, children love him, very creative, very intelligent

I wouldn't bet everything on Juno as far as relationships go,but I believe it's a very helpful indicator.

It's a good question. I often wonder this. My 7th is Capricorn. One girl i've been talking to recenty i have my seventh house ruler (Saturn) exact conjunct her ascendent, and exact trine her New Moon in Scorpio. She's younger than me (rather than the older theme of 7th in Capricorn?) and perfect. Sorry that didn't contribute much to the thread. I guess i'm looking for something 'from' it this time round like the thread starter. Just realised her 7th is co ruled by Capricorn too, and Aquarius.

All very interesting!

What if your 7th spans three signs?
My DC is Cancer, but the 7th house contains all of Leo and the beginning of Virgo.
Should I look at the moon, the sun and mercury?

There's one funny way, which is to flip your chart, and read it as the natal of your partner.

For example:
-You have Virgo rising with Venus in the 1st
The partner's chart will have Pisces rising with Venus in Virgo in the 7th
-You have Sagittarius Ic
The partner's chart will have Sagittarius Mc
-You have Mars in Gemini in the 11th
The partner's chart will have Mars in Gemini in the 5th.

So they have all the same planetary placements as you, just in completely different houses and with different angle contacts, etc., house placements..And of course the opposite signs on the angles.

It's interesting if you actually take the time to read it, including house rulers and their placements, I think it tells a lot about your general partner, the general type of person who is your counterpoint. Not exactly your current husband/wife/boyf/girlf, etc., but the personality you will keep meeting in general.

That's an interesting spin Lonake!! I'm gonna try that and see what I get...I do know that for now I have 8th house mars & my SO has 2nd house mars. Flip my rising & it becomes scorpio & he has pluto in his 7th if that counts.

Yea it takes a blank chart and a few moments to get the placements on target.

The Mars in opposing houses related to love and sex is a nice touch. If you moved your chart around like that you'd end up with a 2nd house mars to describe the partner, not that all placements will show up that glaringly

I attract a significant amount of people with sun, moon, venus in 12th or 2nd and my lumaries are in the 6th & 8th..so in that sense it works out for me.

Aries Juno Sign

Juno in Aries needs their own autonomy. If they don't get that in a relationship they may end up with migraines or other physical displays of upset. They tend to be attracted to partners that are aggressive or dominant. While they want their own freedom, they also want a mate who will be an authority figure. They may see their partners as someone to compete with. They like to go adventuring together. They may need to learn how to develop balance in their relationships so both partners can pursue their own needs.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Taurus Juno Sign

Juno in Taurus wants a sturdy relationship built out of material security and loyalty. They want someone reliable and trustworthy who knows the value of a dollar. They want a harmonious relationship at home that will last a lifetime. They enjoy a sensual relationship and truly want to share their goals with their partner. They are dedicated and faithful forever, and they expect the same from their partner. They may be possessive or controlling or attract these same qualities in their partner. They are willing to stand up for their ideals as long as they have a steadfast partner at their side.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gemini Juno Sign

Juno in Gemini needs a partner who can communicate with them. They want a partner who is expressive and mentally stimulating. They like to share activities together. Sometimes they prefer to have multiple relationships instead of just one; conversely they may prefer friendship to commitment. They like to play. Relationships may end up with one partner being more advanced in education or socially while the other is more dependent. They may also see their partner as capable of pursuing their own dreams. When they can't communicate clearly they may get nervous and high strung. They need to clear up all misunderstandings right away and be able to have clear communication at all times to be happy.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cancer Juno Sign

Juno in Cancer needs emotional intimacy and a warm home environment. They nurture others by feeding them good food. They are attracted to partners who are nurturing and caring. They may appear to be dependent upon them or to be clingy or moody. They may use emotional blackmail to get what they feel they deserve. They can often manipulate others in very subtle ways. They feel strongly that justice must be served. They want a partner who is traditional and values the home and family. They like to care for their family and be cared for in return. They feel a strong need to commit to their relationship with all their might. They may need a lot of attention and may feel unfulfilled if their needs are not met. They are highly committed and loyal.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leo Juno Sign

Juno in Leo wants romance and excitement to be happy. They want a partner they can be proud of and who will admire them as well. They don't like to feel ignored or rejected. They can become rather selfish or use inappropriate means of getting attention. They like things to be equal. They are natural showmen and want to share the spotlight. They feel strongly towards their mates. They may be arrogant or immature and rather bossy. They can also be very generous and loving. They are decisive and seldom change their minds once they are made up.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Virgo Juno Sign

Juno in Virgo has high expectations in their partners, as they do in everything else. They will organize their relationships and expect them to remain efficient. They want perfection, and if their partner can't reach that pinnacle they may be overly critical. They are attracted to partners who are efficient and oriented to the tasks at hand. They have their own sense of justice. They appreciate a partner who is ultra clean and who is unassuming when in public. Health is very important to them, so they want a partner who is also interested in healthy habits. They want stability, and in return will be loyal to the end.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Libra Juno Sign

Juno in Libra wants balance and equality in their relationships. They want someone who will share the chores of making decisions and who will consult with them on everything. They tend to become competitive when the relationship becomes unbalanced.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scorpio Juno Sign

Juno in Scorpio needs an intense relationship with a lot of deep intimacy and sex. They may become manipulative and jealous, using sex as a way to control their partner. They want passion, loyalty and strength. They may be possessive, and must learn to trust over time. They like mystery and power. They may be demanding or high maintenance. Once they are won over, they are loyal and dedicated, though they may always be a bit suspicious.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sagittarius Juno Sign

Juno in Sagittarius wants intellectual stimulation in a relationship. They also want to share their belief system. They want a travel buddy and love adventures. Liberal and philosophical, they may be outspoken or competitive. They like independence and personal freedom, so a relationship with someone who wants a partner night and day would not work well with them. They want a shared camaraderie that will support each other's freedom and yet strengthen their commitment. They prefer sports, law, philosophy and the outdoors.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Capricorn Juno Sign

Juno in Capricorn is committed and traditional. They may base their relationship more on social expectations than on sharing their emotions. They want someone who is practical and good at organizing. They are not overly emotional. They are conservative and responsible and expect the same from their partners. They want someone they can trust. They are very loyal once they commit to someone. They may marry later in life. They are very captivating to the right person, in an earthy way.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aquarius Juno Sign

Juno in Aquarius wants a relationship that gives them their freedom. They are rather unconventional and may prefer open marriages or other alternatives. They may also remain single yet enjoy the whole "friend with benefits" concept. They aren't necessarily for equality in a relationship. They may either play the adoring mate or want their partner to be subservient to them. They appreciate eccentricity in their partner. They are progressive and friendly instead of passionate. They may be rather insecure at times. They are spontaneous and impulsive. They want someone who understands them and their needs and goals.

Return

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pisces Juno Sign

Juno in Pisces wants a special, spiritual bond. They want to share their ideals with their partner. They are attracted to those who are intuitive or sensitive. They enjoy sharing music, spirituality and poetry. They tend to withdraw when they are frustrated or want to escape into a fantasy world. They can use their subtle charms to manipulate others to their way of thinking. They may play the victim in some cases. They may use their imagination to create the perfect partner. They are very emotional and may have a problem dealing the world's harsh realities.

JUNO

Juno's other name is Hera, she is the mythological wife of Jupiter, thus Juno is often referred to as the 'marriage asteroid'. Her meanings go beyond simply marriage, though she does rule the rituals and institution of marriage, and the duties and commitment implied. She has to do with the principle of relatedness and compatibility, sensitivity to others and intimacy needs, and the individual's reactions to frustration or denial of those needs. She is also associated with the arts, and represents creative talent.

Juno in the Houses

Juno in the First:

Being in a relationship is essential to your identity and self-image. Your need is to learn how to initiate relationship encounters, how to approach others and present yourself in an appealing manner. Your most important relationships will be ones initiated by you.

Juno in the Second:

Your most important relationships are based upon material security, comfort and sexual sharing. Compatibility is generally based upon financial and sensual interdependency for you.

Juno in the Third:

Compatibility is based upon open communication for you. You may find that discussing things with your partner is how you come to grips with or understand the issues and events in your life. Important relationships will develop within an environment of verbal expression or networking.

Juno in the Fourth:

You need a comfortable and secure relationship of mutual nurturing and emotional support. This is the foundation stone for all your other activities and pursuits. The most important relationships in your life will be with those you share your home with, or close family.

Juno in the Fifth:

Your most important relationships will be with people with whom you share creativity, romance, play or the care of children. You may prefer romance to commitment. You like excitement and flair in your relationships.

Juno in the Sixth:

Your most significant relationships will likely occur within the arena of the workplace, or in some health-related service. You may share work with your mate, and value efficiency and skill in each other. You require a partner who is attentive to the details of day-to-day existence.

Juno in the Seventh:

Lifelong, intimate partnerships are a primary emphasis for you, whether they be marital, business or professional relationships. Interaction and cooperation are crucial. Your primary relationships will be marriage, partnership or other close one-to-one encounters.

Juno in the Eighth:

Your primary relationships will revolve around the issues of mutual finances, possessions, sexuality, trust and power. You thrive on intensity, and your relationships are deeply intimate and transformative, and probably intensely emotional and dramatic.

Juno in the Ninth:

This position is most likely to be "married to spirit", or be in relationships within the context of a shared belief system, such as a religion or an ashram. Shared truth and meaning is the foundation of your most significant relationships, and the need exists for mutual respect intellectually and philosophically.

Juno in the Tenth:

This placement suggests being "married to your career", or else marriage based on considerations of public acceptance or social status. Your most significant relationships will occur through your profession or career.

Juno in the Eleventh:

The foundation of your close relationships is friendship, equality and freedom. You will have relationships based upon a higher vision, and idealism is the keystone for them. Your primary relationships will be in the context of group interactions and friendships, those with whom you 'share a vision'.

Juno in the Twelfth:

You experience a quality of destiny in your relationships, the feeling that they are karmic, or cosmic in their significance, and yet defy reason in human terms. There are karmic issues being worked out in your primary connections, and suffering or victimization may be involved. Significant relationships may also occur within an institutional setting.

Juno in the Signs

Juno in Aries:

You have a strong need for autonomy in relationship, and if this need is frustrated, there may be outbursts of anger or physical reactions such as migraine headaches. May be attracted to dominant or aggressive type individuals. Loss of personal power or even identity could be a problem for you in relationships.

Juno in Taurus:

Your requirement in relationship is for material security, stability and loyalty. When these needs are not met, there can be nagging, complaining and arguments over money or sex, either by you or your partner. The partners you are most drawn to are dependable, reliable, steady and sensual.

Juno in Gemini:

You need communication in your relationships, and are attracted to very expressive and mentally stimulating partners. You also enjoy sharing a variety of activities with your mate. With this placement, you may tend to prefer multiple relationships, or feel more comfortable in friendship than in a committed relationship.

Juno in Cancer:

Your primary need in relationship is for emotional closeness and bonding, and a warm and nurturing home environment. Food may be an important factor in your pattern of sharing. Drawn to very caring and nurturing partners, there may be strong dependency, and clinging, moodiness or withdrawal when needs are not fulfilled.

Juno in Leo:

You require romance and excitement in relationships, and may extend the courtship patterns well into marriage. You want a partner you can be proud of, and one who likewise gives you admiration and attention. If you feel taken for granted, ignored or rejected, you may become selfish or egocentric, or engage in power struggles or inappropriate ways of getting attention.

Juno in Virgo:

You have high expectations in terms of daily performance and fulfillment of tasks, your relationships will likely be organized, efficient and somewhat ritualistic. You strive for perfection in all the details of life, and if the partner fails to fulfill your expectations, you tend to be critical and nit-picking. You may be drawn to a mate who is very efficient and task-oriented, or a craftsman.

Juno in Libra:

Balance and equality are your basic needs in relationship. You require a partner who will share with you in decision making and consult with you on all matters of importance. You may be especially attracted to good looks and gracious manners. If your relationship becomes unbalanced, you may respond by becoming competitive or uncooperative.

Juno in Scorpio:

Your primary relationship need is for intense emotional and sexual sharing. Deep intimacy and bonding are paramount for you. If these needs are thwarted, you can become very jealous, manipulative and controlling, using sex as a means of control. Money and its sharing may also be a strong factor in your relationships.

Juno in Sagittarius:

You look for intellectual stimulation in relationship, and a common belief system is of great importance. Education and philosophy might be the basis of your bond. You also wish to travel and explore together. If your vision is not shared by your mate, arguments and fanatic adherence to your beliefs may cause problems between you.

Juno in Capricorn:

You desire a committed, traditional and enduring union, one which may be based more on considerations of social acceptability and propriety than on emotional sharing. If you do not meet a potential mate who measures up to your requirements, you may well choose to forego marriage.

Juno in Aquarius:

You require a relationship that honors your need for personal freedom and individuality. You may experiment with unconventional forms of relating, such as open marriage or role reversals. Or you may choose to remain unattached, making friendship the basis for your close relationships, even if they include a sexual dimension.

Juno in Pisces:

You tend to seek a spiritual bond, a common faith or shared ideals in your relationship. You will be attracted to sensitive and intuitive partners. Sharing of music, poetry and spirituality in any form will strengthen your bond. When your needs are frustrated, you probably withdraw, escape into fantasy, or fall into the role of the victim, possibly suffering in silence.

What a fun topic!

I think I might have found a solution to my problem. I'm 23 and still have not had a serious relationship. Apparently I have a Capricorn is my seventh house... Meaning I'm more practical when looking for a partner: usually someone older, more conservative with power.

The Capricorn in the seventh house gives an interesting tension since my natal chart says I'm a very sexual person (Mars in Leo, Square Mars Pluto, Pluto in Scorpio). At the end of the day I would like to marry for practical reasons (ie my fairytale fantasy is to marry a doctor, I'm a med student myself) but I'm finding myself attracted to boys with more of an edge right now. Granted we're talking about boys in my program, so there's still an element of conservatism since they're med students like myself.

Before looking at this reading, I never would have described myself as having a practical attitude about relationships. I would have always said that I'm a romantic, but I guess that's just a side of my attitude towards love. The other side, is practical and may explain my lack of relationships thus far.

Lonake, I'm getting really confused! Following your method, would the other person have all the same placements as you (same sun sign, moon, mercury etc) but just in the opposite houses?
