Is synastry still valid when two parties are born within 6 days and a few hundred miles of each other?IP: Logged |

Yes because it matters down to the exact time and location. IP: Logged |

Ok. I'm asking because everything is conjunct (although Sun, Mercury, and Venus conjunctions are wide at about 6 degrees apart each), but I guess Moon, angles and houses could still shed some insight. Here's the chart: I was born on 17.9.1981 and he was born on 23.9.1981, both on the eastern US coast, about 300 miles apart. IP: Logged |

Yeah it looks like the majority of energy is being played out in the 8th/7th and 7th/6th houses.IP: Logged |

Thank you rasp. I'm intrigued by this chart, I didn't know if it was a waste of my time to bother with it or not. IP: Logged |

Spend my time analyzing aspects if the prevailing theory was that a synastry between two people born so close together wasn't really valid.IP: Logged |

Why wouldn't it be valid? You are two human beings and you still feel the energy of each other...IP: Logged |

True, and that used to be my feeling about it but I have seen some synastry posts where the parties were born months apart and when asteroid conjunctions were considered they were declared invalid because the conjunctions were due to the proximity of birth, not any special aspects. Wouldn't that be the case here? I mean Mars conjunct Mars is nice and sexy but is it as sexy when your parents could have had a joint baby shower LOL? IP: Logged |

There are a lot of conjunctions, yes, but don't ignore the other aspects that the planets are making. Like for instance Moon opposite Venus, Moon conjunct Mars, Mars square Venus, etc. Not to mention house overlays.Asteroid conjunctions are not invalid, per se, it's just that some people think that their synastry with their Valentine conjunct Valentine person is OH SO SPECIAL, when in fact it's not a rarity in the slightest. It's like having outer planet conjunctions. If they think that their "special connection" is caused by a special asteroid conjunction (if they are born close to them), it's probably not exactly the case because you'd have that with everyone your age. That's why they are kind of ruled out. But they do play a part, especially when they aspect other planets. IP: Logged |

I'm not amowls, that T-square definitely has my attention, my natal chart almost forms this t-square but not quite so it's interesting to meet someone who helps me make it happen. Pretty cool that he shares my struggles with the Scorp/Leo Venus/Mars square. But instead of my Moon/Mars square he's got the the Moon/Venus square. Together we bestow the crap that the other person needs to form the t-square LOL...lovely. Although, his Leo Moon IS also giving us a double whammy Moon/Mars because in addition to the Moon/Mars square his Moon is conjunct my Mars. That might be...yummy. IP: Logged |

oh yeah, it's totally still valid.I mean, you have different sun signs, different moon signs and different ascendants and house placements. There's lots to go on there. And even if you had exactly the same placements, the fact that you'd have lots of conjunctions would reveal how you interact with each other. Pretty sure there's no such thing as no synastry. Hi starro...i was thinking on a post i read some time ago in this forum. I think it was posted by Vapor lash. she mentioned something regarding having conjuction of mars. in her experience, mars-mars conjunction was not atractive as it was same of hers. in my experience, it has been the same as well. mars-venus another story. best, Nordicsoul IP: Logged |
